Cypressstar let out a large yawn, stretching her legs in her large nest the queen cracked her eyes open. The female leopone let out a purr, as she felt Addercub and Goldencub snuggled up against her. Sometimes Cypressstar was still amazed, she was actually a mother and not just that, but also queen of MoonPride. Slowly the leopon pushed herself up off the nest, she did not want to disturb her little cubs. Finally making it to a standing position, Cypressstar headed for the entrance of the nursery. Pushing her head out, the female leopon recoiled as the harsh morning sunlight hit her eyes. Taking in a deep breath, the queen let out a sigh. It was a beautiful morning, there where not many other cats up yet. Stepping out into the camp, the queen leisurely stretched herself. Sitting down, Cypressstar started to clean herself.
Looking over to the den that she usually shared with her mate, the queens eyes grew longing. Ever since she gave birth Cypressstar had been staying in the nursery, she missed sleeping next to Emberstar. Standing up again, the queen headed back into the nursery. Sitting down next to the large nest, the female leopon smiled down at her cubs. They were so cute, she could not wait to see them grow up. Leaning down the den mother nuzzled her cubs, in a kind voice she purred, "Time to get up little ones."

Snowpaw was fighting hard against Nightpath, the SunPride deputy. The snow leopard apprentice was not just holding his own, but even betting the deputy. He was going to win! Nightpath pounced on Snowpaw, but the snow leopard leaped out of the way with lightning speed. Attacking the large back jaguar from the side, Snowpaw stuck the finishing blow. He had won! He, a MoonPride apprentice, had defeated the SunPride deputy! With a yell of delight, Snowpaw jumped into the air. He was laughing proudly at himself, he had defeated Nightpath.
Snowpaw opened his blue eyes, he was not on a battlefield, but in the apprentice den. Snowpaw's tail lashed back and forth in embarrassment, the apprentice had dreamt battle up. His face flushed, as he looked over the other apprentices around him, had anyone noticed? How could they not, he had literally yelled out loud in triumph. Snowpaw laid back down again, the young snow leopards fur was burning hot with embarrassment.

SandPaw's head wips around from his cleaning at the sound, his large ear flicking. He had woken a little while ago, and had decided to make himself presentable - as he went to sleep last night with mud still stuck in his fur from a spree of tussling.

A confused expression becomes apparent in his features as he sees SnowPaw sitting up in his nest - head down and tail furiously swishing around him.

"What's up, SnowPaw?"
He asks quietly - not wanting to wake anyone up. He was only a little ways away from the fellow apprentice, so he knew his voice would carry to the Snow Leopard easily.

Snowpaw looked up towards the entrance of the apprentice den, Sandpaw was looking inside. Snowpaw's face grew even hotter, his voice had actually carried all the way outside. Getting up, the snow leopard walked towards Sandpaw. "It... it's nothing, I was just dreaming", Snowpaw said embarrassed. Looking back at the other apprentices, he hoped that he had not woken any of them.
Walking passed Sandpaw, the thick furred apprentice sat down outside of the apprentice den. "It's already so warm day", Snowpaw commented, starting to lick his fur clean. He wondered if his mentor was already up, maybe they could go out hunting today?

SandPaw smiles warmly at the younger apprentices, his tail wrapping around his legs as he watches them playfully bicker. Both strong and playful, he know they'd make great progress in the moons to come.

"So, who wants to practice?" He asks, a glint in his eye as he does so. Even if he was an older apprentice, he knew there was always something to learn - and he loved to tussle to enhance his skill-set.

The young snow leopard had been half-asleep when he heard a yell of triumph from what he assumed was one of the other apprentices in the den, ears twitching and eyes snapping open as his head shot up, to which he winced at the slight pain in his neck from moving so quickly. The tom's gaze flickered over towards where he saw one of the apprentices, Snowpaw, he remembers, looking a little embarrassed, and he easily figured he was the one who had shouted. Cloudpaw gave a small shake of his head at that, turning his attention away from the younger snow leopard as he yawned softly and stood up, stretching out his limbs for a second as he quickly became more awake than before. Taking a moment to glance towards the other apprentices, he noticed they were all pretty much up and conversing with each other, to which he let out a small huff at. Stretching a little again, Cloudpaw soon padded out of the apprentice den, giving a small nod of greeting towards the other apprentices as he had left.

Snowpaw's head shot up, as he heard Runningpaw's voice. "Who are you calling a nut?", Snowpaw asked, shoving back. "At least I don't jump into the lake after frogs", Snowpaw countered, referring to one of the last hunting that they had both been on. While they were both hunting together, Runningpaw had spread off towards the lake. After a bit, the cheetah had fallen in, apparently having been outsmarted by a frog.
Giving Cloudpaw a nod, as the other snow leopard passed them, Snowpaw looked over at Sandpaw, as the older apprentice asked them to practice. "Sure, why not?", Snowpaw said, "I can't see Noxflame anywhere, but I doubt she'd mind me getting some more training in." Getting up, the snow leopard bounded ahead, turning back he called, "Last one to the tree is a stinky frog!", knowing that Runningpaw would probably be able to catch up quite easily, Snowpaw needed the head start. Instead of taking the tree bridge, Snowpaw jumped the stream running through the camp. Landing on the other side, Snowpaw almost ran head first into Emberstar's back side. Screeching to a halt and turning sideways, so he would not lose too much of his momentum. Snowpaw changed direction, over his shoulder he called, "Sorry Emberstar!"

Cypressstar looked up from her cubs, as she heard a familiar warm voice outside. "I'm awake Emberstar", the queen called to her mate, "I'll come out", the female leopon said. Cypressstar gave her daughter a kind nudge, she was still amazed at how deeply cubs could sleep sometimes. Licking both cubs on the head, the queen headed outside. Cypresstar purred, as she saw her mate, "Good morning dear", Cypressstar purred. Nuzzling her face into Emberstar's thick neck fur, the female was happy to breath in her mates scent. She had really missed it, maybe she and the cubs could move into their normal nest. Emberstar's and Cypressstar's nest was quite big after all, still maybe it was not big enough for the king, queen, and their two cubs.
Pouting a bit, as these thoughts crossed her mind, Ctpressstar looked down. Seeing the large rabbit, the queen smiled, "Thank you", Cypressstar said gratefully, only now did she reside how hungry she was. Nursing Goldencub and Addercub was easy drawing the strength out of her.

SandPaw hurridly trotted after the two Apprentices, his own expression excited as he felt the morning air filter through his whiskers. Picking up his pace as they got outside, he pushes hard against the ground with his paws - making sure to not step on any unsuspecting beetles.

He had just caught up to them by the time they got to the tree, his sides heaving and his mouth open with adrenaline.

Darn - looks like he was the stinky frog.

Cypressstar leaned down and took a large bite out of the rabbit, curling her tail around herself, the queen sat next to her mate. She and Emberstar where brushing pelts, this made her very happy. Closing her eyes, she just relaxed. One thing that was good with becoming a den mother, was that her duties as queen had become lighter. Taking several more bites of the large rabbit, the queen happily watched the apprentices 'training'. She could not wait until Addercub and Goldencub where old enough to become apprentices and join them.
Cypressstar ear twitched, as a slight cry came from the den behind her. Letting out a sigh, the queen stood. Placing her tail on Emberstar's shoulder she gave him a smile, "Looks like I have to attend to my tuties, I can't wait for them to eat real food", the leopon said. As she was about to re enter the den, Cypressstar paused, actually it was about time for them to eat some reale meat. Waving her tail at the tiger, she said, "Mind bringing that in, I want to start weaning them off my milk get them used to eat." Heading into the nursery, the queen was soon wrapped around her cubs again. She gave Goldencub a stern nick on the forehead, "Now, now there's no reason to yell. You'll only wake your sister", Cypressstar chited, with a smile on her face.

SandPaw looked up at the sudden voice of his mentor, his tall ear flicking at the Liliger's words.

"Yes sir." He said with a nod, excitement evident in his posture.

Shaking out his fur, he bid farewell to his fellow apprentices before turning abruptly and running toward the lake. He sees the sandy beach and smiles, remembering how much fun he had as a cub here - when people would pretend not to see him because of his beige colored pelt.

He trots up beside ShrewPelt - his breathing sped slightly from the exertion.

"What are we starting with today, Sir?"
He asks in a nuetral tone - although inside he was looking forward to practicing. He learned from a young age that, when being taught something, you must focus on the material - not your emotions.
