Stormcub stopped beside his father and smiled, but then he felt the sniff lick of his fathers tongue on his head and he ducked away before he said " daaaaad! I'm almost an apprentice now, so I'm too olf for licks!" he said indignation in his voice before he padded forward and took a bite from the rat letting out a quiet purr as it melted in his mouth.

SandPaw looks up at ShrewPelt with a twinge of doubt in his eyes. Of course, he was older than the other apprentices, and he did a bit more work around the Camp - but he still felt like a cub in many surcumstances - this being one of them.

Preparing his leg muscles for the small leap, he focuses on the ledge he wanted to land on - his tail swishing slightly behind him with concentration. With a sudden bunching and release of his muscles, he bounds towards the stony outcropping - almost overshooting it completely. That being said, he was on the edge of his perch - his neck stretching far back as he attempts to balance himself out again.
With a twist of of his gaze and a sigh of relief, he begins to climb up a few spots, catching up to his mentor slowly.

"Where are we going to practice, Sir?" The light colored feline said between breaths - his heart rate higher than usual with the prospect of a fall.

The snow leopard grind and let out a shortcut laugh, at Runninpaws comment. Snowpaw let out a mew of surprise, as Runningpaw flipped the snow leopard over. Landing on his paws, the apprentice looked back, as the cheetah landed on him. Letting out a huff, Snowpaw hit the ground. Not hard, but still it winded him a bit. "Cheap move", the young tom said, looking over his shoulder at his best friend. Snowpaw was still smiling though, this was nice. Not being pind, but play fighting with Runninpaw. The gray thick furred cat always enjoyed spending time with his best friend.
Hearing someone call their names, Snowpaw craned his neck up. Cherryshadow was sitting beside the fresh-kill pile, she must've been the one that called out to them. As he moved a bit, Snowpaw noticed that Runningpaws grip on him was lose. He appreciated his friend not clawing him, but decided to take advantage of the situation. Pushing up and leveraging Runninpaw off him, Snowpaw was quickly up on his paws again. Pouncing, Snowpaw laid down on Runninpaw. "Need to be a bit more aggressive with your attack, friend", Snowpaw cheekily said, grinning. Pushing himself up, Snowpaw flicked his tail over Runningpaws nose. "Come on snale, your mentor is calling", the apprentice said, nodding to Runningpaws mentor. Starting towards Cherryshadow, Snowpaw was wondering where they would go.

Cypressstar purred, as she saw Goldenpaw try the rabbit. Looking up a her mate, the queen smiled. The leopons smile faded a bit, as Emberstar said that he would have to leave soon. Cypressstar cheered up a bit though, as Emberstar offered to cub sit. Leaning forward, she teasingly nudged the king's shoulder, "Are you sure you can handle them", Cypressstar said, with a smug smile on her face. "You would not just be responsible for Addercub and Goldencub, but also for Stormcub and Raincub. Are you sure a great king like you can handle this?", the female leopon teased, nodding to the two empty nests close by. It would definitely be nice to stretch her paws, even though she teased Emberstar, she was actually very grateful.

The cub stretched, blinking blearily. She had been sleeping for quite some time now, and energy thrummed in her paws. With a sigh, as if a weary elder, she swung her head around to gaze at her parents and brother. Rising to her unsteady paws, she bounded over clumsily, though surprisingly less bumbling than many cubs would be at her age. Halting, the cub gazed fondly up at her parents, a small smile showing on her maw. A purr rumbled in her throat as she rubbed up against Cypressstar, before a thought flashed through her mind, coupled with memories of adoring voices crooning over the two youngest additions to the pride, Why does everyone keep saying I'm a 'she'? I'll have to tell them later that I'm not a girl! the cub dismissed it, too blissful in her waking mind to dwell long. "Emberstar!" she squeaked as the cub caught sight of her father, grinning at the golden tiger gleefully. Her tail curled happily.

Cypressstar looked down, as she felt something small cuddle into her. The queen purred, as she recognised Addercub. When had her daughter woken up? The mother smiled, as the small cub bounded over to Emberstar. She was starting to find her paws, Cypresstar was happy to see this. "She's always good", Cypresstar purred to Emberstar, in response. Looking up, the queen was a bit sad to see her mate leave. "Lead the pride well while I'm stuck in here", the queen jokingly responded. Looking down, the mother reached over and grabbed Addercub b the scruff of her neck. Placing the female cu next to her brother, Cypressstar nodded to the already mostly eaten rabbit sitting next to Goldencub. "You should get something to eat, before Goldencub eats it all up", the queen directed.

Snowpaw did not race Runningpaw, he did not have a chance of winning against his friend anyways. Just before jumping over the river, the snow leopard paused for a moment. Looking over the apprentice nodded his head in respect to Emberstar, as the king came out of the nursery. Snowpaw how the young king's and queen's cubs where doing, they were still so young. Snowpaw wondered what it would be like to have cubs, the young male shook his head, he was way too young to think of that now. Snowpaw was still an apprentice, before thinking of having cubs he needed a mate. As he jumped over the small river, the snow leopards mind wandered.
In his daydream, Snowpaw, no Snowfeather, was sitting beside the nursery. Around his paws where cubs playing, his cubs. At his side was his mate, glancing over Snowfeather smiled. The other cat bent down and groomed one of the cubs, then looked up and returned Snowfeathers smile. The cat/his mate looked a lot like..... like..... Runningpaw?
Snowpaws nose bumped into something soft and bony at the same time, he had bumped into Runningpaw. The snow leopard staggered back a bit, rubbing his nose with his left forepaw. "Sorry", Runningpaw said, rubbing his nose. Sitting next to the cheetah, Snowpaw waited for Cherryshadows answer.

FalconCry chuckles at his Cubs words, nodding in agreement to the little scowl he saw in front of him.

"Quite right. Speaking of, would you like to come with me today while I try to find my Apprentice?" He asks, widening his eyes comically for his child's entertainment.

Knowing how much his kit yearned for adventure - and was quite adapt at getting it - he figured it would be best to let him have his fun with the protection of him at his side.

Stormcub jumped up and down as he let out a mew he was always looking for adventure in every place so he really wanted to go. He nodded his head viciously and said " yes, yes, yes!!!" he said swallowing down the rat in a few famished gulps and jumped to his father's side hs paws itching.

FalconCry smiles and stand up, watching as StormCub devours his portion heartily. Shaking out his pelt of any dust he may have collected from sitting down, he looks back down at his son with a quizzical expression.

"Well, now - you've got to tell the Queen where you'll be, now don't you?"
He says, his voice pitched up a bit with enthusiasm. Knowing that it wouldn't be wise for his son to just dissapear from the Pride's main camp, he thought it best to have StormCub inform CypressStar of his new whereabouts before heading out.

Stormcub's mind was racing a million miles an hour but then came to a halting stop as looked up at his dad and nodded his two tail tipped tail dragging to the ground as he said " o-ok." As he ran off to the nursery bursting into the darkened den he let his eyes adjust and looked around trying to hurriedly find Cypressstar. Soon he located his and padded over to her his pink tongue hanging out slightly as he panted and said "C-Cypressstar... M-may I go with my father to go find his apprentice?" he said with a quick glance at the cubs and smiled at them before looking back to Cypressstar.
