Time of day: Weather: Warm day, with slight cloud cover MoonPride The pride was formed by Moonstar, a imposing and strong cat, together with his queen he leads the pride with strength and power. MoonPride rules over the territory surrounding the large lake, known by all living animals as the white lake. It received this name, because of its cover of white ice which covers it most year round. The pride has made its home under a large outcropping next to the lake, the outcropping looks over several large caves and bushes in which dens are located. Moonstar has always seen strength, as the number one thing and will not tolerate weakness. Ever since the king's death, Moonpride has received a new king, Emberstar. The pride is stronger than ever and will always be a pride, that lives by the claw. Ranks Description of Territory MoonPride lives beside the large lake, known by the simple name White Lake. MoonPride is filled with fierce and powerful cats. Ruled by a powerful leader, the pride does not allow weaklings to join their ranks. The pride has specialised in hunting in and beside the lake, offtain catching fish and other marine animals as prey. Description of Camp The center of Moonstar's clan is nestled between a cliff and a small mound. The warriors den is in the mound right next to the lake, it has many nests inside. The apprentice den is left of the camp entrance there are not nest, but the floor is covered in a thick layer of moss. The healers den is next to it, there is a stream originating from inside of the healers den. At the back of the healers den, is a cave system leading to the herb store and the Moonstone cave. The river flows through the entire camp, with a fallen tree serving as a connection between the two camp halves. The fresh-kill pile is nestled in between the healers den and the apprentice den, there is a smaller fresh-kill pile located between the elders den and nursery. Between the river and the king's and queen's den is a very large maple tree, this tree serves as the meeting tree. The king will often hold pride meetings from the largest and sturdiest branch on the tree. The kings and queens den is next to the healers den, this den is made up of two small caves. The bigger, at the front, serves as the leaders meeting den and the back den is covered in a thick layer of nest material and is the kings and queens privet den. The elders den is next to the leaders den, there is a big hole in the ceiling and provides a great sunning spot for the elders. The nursery is nestled between the elders den and next to the training area. There are two nest at the entrance of the nursery for the Boodmothers and two large nest in the back for den mothers. The entrance of the sandy training area is located between the Warriors den and Nursery, there is a big beech tree where the apprentices can learn how to climb and the area is right next to the lake. On one side the the camp is adjacent to the lake, the second side is protected by a sheer rock cliff, and the rest of the camp is protected by a thick juniper wall. She set them down and studied them before preparing them to be dried, Sorrel she thought, taking mental notes of the leaf, Dock. She took in the differences and stored them away in her mental library. When she was done studying the herbs, she began to replace the old, stale and molded ones with their new counterparts. She placed the bundles slightly spread out, flowers and leaves facing down. She ensured that the usable dry herbs were not touching the fresh ones, but kept them organized close to each other. She would have set the herbs outside to dry, but the cloudcover had her speculating it would likely rain. So she opted to letting them set, slightly elevated near the den entrance where they would have circulating air but not too much humidity. She continued to fiddle with the herbs until she believed it was perfect, then stepped out of the den and into the light of day. Ready to start her training. It's a good time to swim there as the tides are a bit lower, meaning the water is shallower." He called down, to his apprentice, "Don't worry about the height, it'll only make you lose your balance." It was time for him to be a leader and guide his pride. The Bengal tiger searched the camp clearing for his deputy, but did not find him. It was too late in the morning for Shrewpelt to still be asleep, so where was he? Probably out training his apprentice. Most if his warriors were out of camp training their apprentices at the moment, and he was going to assume that his deputy is one of them. With a sigh, the king padded towards Echofrosts den. Emberstar poked his large head into the medicine dens opening before walking in fully. The felines eyes landed on both Echofrost and Flowerpaw, as they sorted through herbs. The tiger bowed his head in respect to his healer, then spoke. "I'm glad your awake Echofrost," He said, glancing over at Flowerpaw. "Have you gotten a chance to give my cubs a proper inspection?" He and Cypressstar knew that their cubs might come out with some deformities, but the severity was unknown to him. | Runningpaw | Moonpride apprentice | 9 Moons old | Male cheetah | Location: inside den | Mentions: Snowpaw and Cherryshadow | Runningpaw took in a deep breath of air as he started to calm down some. He couldn't help but be over ethustiastic or help having way too much energy. That's just how he was, but at least he knew how to calm down. The cheetah glanced behind him and smiled happily as he spotted Snowpaw finally catching up to him and Cherryshadow. He turned back to face his mentor quickly before his best friend caught him starring. That was another thing he couldn't help. When it came to Snowpaw, Runningpaw often found himself blushing and wanting to get closer to his best friend. The Tom was torn from his thoughts when the snow leopard bumped into him. " You clumsy badger!" He teased sticking out his tongue cutely. "Is your nose okay though? Or should I fetch Echofrosts?" Echofrost - Moonpride Healer - 2,2 Years - Maneless Piebald Lion - Location: Camp - Mentions: Flowerpaw, Emberstar, Open! Echofrost padded back into his den and started looking through their supplies. He noticed that they could do with some more cobweb, and maybe he could try making poppy grow by his den again so he could have an endless supply in the future. He spent a few heartbeats thinking of where the poppy might grow best, and how much he should get. Once he had figured out his plan, he turned to step out of his den when Emberstar stepped in. He dipped his head lightly to him to show respect. "Not a proper one this month." He replied. "I was thinking to inspect them once per month to keep track of any changes." He added. It seemed like his little plan of fetching poppy to grow close to his den would have to wait. After all, checking the cubs was more important than a passion project. "Do you want to come check them with me?" He asked Flowerpaw, turning to his apprentice. Once they had checked on the cubs, he could probably bring up the poppy seeds. And once he was done with that, he would go check on Frostwhisper. He had not checked on his little brother in a while, and he was worried about him. 0 players like this post! Like? |

She stood and followed Echofrost to inspect the cubs. "Now the hard part is going back down." he joked, before standing and padding towards the rivers. He kept a close eye on the sun's position to ensure that his timing was right. And sure enough, when they arrived at the first and widest river, he found it was at low tide still. He stopped at the river banks and looked back at his apprentice, "This is probably the largest river in our territory, I think you should probably tackle this one last, There is a stone path we can use to get across, the next river over isn't too far from here and it's much smaller." he said, motioning towards a jagged line of stones that lay in the rivers water upstream. "I'll let you make the decisions though, where would you like to start?" The dark cat inquired. Shrewpelt |Moonpride Deputy |2 years|Flat headed cat male| Location-Camp |Mention(s)- Sandpaw The small tom nodded before continuing towards the stones, hopping onto the closest one before stopping and examining it closely, "They seem fairly dry right now- but I'd suggest taking it slow, they could be slick in some areas." he informed Sandpaw before continuing across the river, waiting for the younger male to cross before moving on. It wasn't long before they hit the next river- this one much smaller than the first. Shrewpelt tested the water with his paws before walking in to about elbow deep. "It's not too fast around this time, I'll start." he said before bounding into deeper waters, kicking his legs rhythmically under the waters surface. He probably made it look simple, but most of his ability to stay afloat was on account of his webbed feet. "The main thing you need to know right now, is how to keep your head above water." he said between breaths. "It's not hard, just kick with your legs, make up your own rhythm, It sounds ridiculous but that's really all there is to it." He said, turning back to the shallow waters. He demonstrated with his out of the water, "I want you to do what I just did, Swim about halfway across then turn back. I'll stay a few taillengths downriver in case I need to pull you out." Echofrost - Moonpride Healer - 2,2 Years - Maneless Piebald Lion - Location: Camp - Mentions: Flowerpaw, Cypressstar, Addercub, Goldencub Open! Echofrost lead the way towards the nursery, his mind wandering a little as he padded along. It only strayed to his plans of planting herbs, and he soon rooted himself in the present as he entered the nursery. The scent of milk and young ones were strong. "Hello Cypressstar, we've come to check on your cubs." He greeted, keeping at a respectful distance until the queen gave him the clear signal to approach. He spotted the cubs eating a rabbit, glad that they were beginning to explore solid foods. They were the right age after all. At watching the cubs eat, he felt a little deja vu. He felt like he had seen this scene before, maybe not exactly like this, but some thing very similar. Before he could put a claw to it, he was cast back into a memory. "Come on Frostcub, just a small bite." Echofrost... No, Echopaw then, urged his brother as he nosed a rabbit carcass closer to him. The cub shook his head and turned away from the dead animal. He moved closer to his mother and went for her belly to suckle. "Don't you want to be big and strong like Ravenwish?" He insisted, gently nudging his brother away from their mother. She soon nudged Echopaw away with an amused glint in her eyes. "Let him be, he's still young enough to suckle, besides, you didn't start eating solid food until you were a moon and a half." Spottedcloud purred, nuzzling at her oldest child. The memory faded away and he blinked a little, looking down at the cubs in the present rather than the past. 0 players like this post! Like? |
