I think with Gingerstar the entire point is that she does not want to erase her traitor's background. She does not want to let Turtlesplash back at all, and in her opinion her history is something she will have to live in shame of for as long as she may live. There's no recompense for the treason she committed, if Gingerstar had her way she would have had Turtlesplash's head for disrespecting the leader she was named for and the clan as a whole.

That's a very good point Razz....mmm perhaps something she has to 'wear' for the rest of her stay?A symbol or a collar I guess if they can find one to represent her past. Or perhaps a suffix change (if Tate wants that is lol), that involves pet or traitor or perhaps a creature that cat's don't like? IE Turtlepet, Turtledirt etc. (Man I feel so mean making these recommendations :0)

Woof had a long day of early Thanksgiving family nonsense, so able to catch up now!

In terms of Turtlesplash: @Razz as long as Vesp is comfortable with whatever is decided, then y'all can go crazy as far as I'm concerned lol.
I want to make it realistic for the clan, while not potentially making it impossible for the player in question to enjoy themselves. Gotta balance that. (granted I trust Vesp to handle it well, but just communicate if it will be anything that may be extremely changing)

As far as a collar/physical symbol would go, I don't think Dawnclan would want to flaunt that, on the premise they'd probably not want Duskclan to know about it lol. My two cents on the ideas hah

Hey, sorry for the silence on my part! I've been on my phone so I was mostly just jumping on to hunt my lionesses throughout the day.

As far as the ideas presented go I think what Razz originally suggested is probably the best route. My first thought about the collar thing was the same as Peachy. If you want to go on the dark side, Gingerstar could potentially scar her. The mark would hold meaning to her and the Clan, but to DuskClan it would probably look just like any other old battle wound since I don't think DawnClan wants to air out their dirty laundry.

A name change might have merit. To most of the Clan she is a disgrace to Turtlestar's name so stripping her of her prefix and forcing her to earn a new one could be interesting, but honestly feel free to go with whatever you think Gingerstar would realistically do.

I agree with Turtlepaw just being a nickname that everyone is encouraged to call Turtlesplash for the time being. Also the idea of not making her a true apprentice is that is leaves the other warriors free to take apprentices that actually need a warrior to teach them. It also keeps her free of the apprentices restrictions so she is free to better help with hunting and patrols, Help which is sorely needed under the restriction.

Basically the idea is to make her feel shame and humiliation for her past actions, but also make use of her labor to make things a little easier for everyone else.

Also the name itself is suppose to be a sign of that shame, one that obviously isn't visible to Duskclan and way more personal. I mean what's more personal then one's name? Finally perhaps when everyone else is calling her Turtlesplash, Gingerstar and perhaps Umbraclaw is still calling her Turtlepaw.

Edit: The scarring and Prefix name change are interesting ideas to me.

We'll probably stick to that first plan then, assuming you're alright with it? I don't think Gingerstar would outright harm her in a way that would leave scars, but she may engage in the type of bullying shown in Blood and Stars towards Turnclaw's Kin with the pushing them around, mocking them, insulting them, the occasional cuff or claw but not often drawing blood because they need everyone as healthy as everyone else.

If you're interested in the new prefix idea, I can certainly go with it, but realistically Gingerstar would do either that or just leaving it completely- either entirely new or not at all
