@Nate fun character. The only issue I see is, I really don't see a leader naming a kit something in a cruel way. Perhaps the mother was the one who renamed as he wasn't an apprentice yet, and therefore still had naming rights?
And perhaps since Mangle was effected, he didn't put up any fight about it when it could have been changed at his ceremony?

i understand what youre getting at! i just thought that only the leader could officiate a name change, kit or not.
i could change it to where she renamed him, and persuaded the leader into keeping the prefix at the apprentice ceremony?

since it was a traumatic experience for a kit, i figured he'd be too messed up to fight the name change, or still feel guilty that he hadnt been able to save his brother (though a tiny kit could do absolutely nothing in that situation, lmao). he was pretty scared of his mom, which could also be a factor of him not trying to change it back.

@Nate- Yea that sounds better. And it probably just stuck, so even when the leaders changed Blackstar didn't even really think about it.
