 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

A small reddish adolescent lifted her head, sniffing the air. Finding the scent of the dens, she ambled towards one of the brood mothers. "Hello. My pride is in need of members for the future. We prefer to raise them ourselves so we can be sure they are well trained and not uncomfortable with the group. We've found it is easier for cubs to adjust the younger they are. My king, Solik, has been eyeing some cubs and has requested I take home Frost, Rogue, and Fire. ." Lychee dipped her head at the cubs in question, hoping to appear friendly. At least Solik had sent her and not Shyden to collect the cubs, she thought, curling her lip at the idea of the standoffish older lion trying to welcome cubs into their pride. Solik had been in dilemma for some time, debating whether or not to end the unclean bloodlines from giving cubs and make them into hunters only, or to give up and enjoy every lion present fro who they are and not their bloodlines, tainted as they may be. Lychee knew that Solik had been conversing with his queens on the matter after the cubs had fallen asleep, but she and Syden had heard as they stood sentry, the common duty of adolescents in their pride. The cubs could be a chapter for the pride and Lychee hoped they'ed like their new home if they were permitted to join her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Burrell, the mauve coated subordinate male, strolled towards the cave. The new king, who was currently focused upon training his heir had sent the male off to find a few cubs to strengthen the hunting parties. A recent visit with the angel of death had left the pride’s numbers low. Burrell accepted the task and headed towards the well know territory of Imbassa. He turned swiftly, causing his chained feathers and darkened mask to clank together, alerting the cubs and broodmothers of his presence. Not that he minded. His eyes fell onto two particular cubs, Ember and Sally. The lion turned towards the closets broodmother, the friendly blue eyed lioness, and purred softly, ”May I take Ember and Sally? Our pride has been looking for a few young huntresses I believe theses two would be adept.” His head bowed in a respectful manner instinctively. Ember and Sally 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yurei padded his way through Imbasa's territory, respectfully nodding at each lion/ess he passed by. He found the entrance to the adoption cave, and stepped inside. His pride was unusually quiet for the past few weeks. They seemed very bored with themselves. He thought that maybe a new cub would enliven their spirits. Yurei saw two cubs. A lovely, warm brown one, and a delightful, colorful blue/black one. His eyes lit up as he watched them play. Could this be it? He approached Machwa, as he felt most comfortable around a fellow primal, and paid his respects by giving her nose a gentle lick. He lied down beside her and said "I am in need of a new cub or two, and I couldn't help but notice Sparrow and Leap tussling over there," he nudged his muzzle in their direction. "They are both quite beautiful. My ladies have been lulling quietly and humming to themselves. My hunting party is exceptionally good at, well, hunting, and my ladies have been bored. I almost wonder if a new cub or two would enliven their spirits?" (I'd love to have Leap, though, I do know the person above me is trying to claim her.. it was worth a try lol) (Also I couldn't come up with a good reason to have the cubs lol, I just think they are both really pretty and I love them ^-^) 0 players like this post! A lioness of large stature with a wintery, thick coat approached Machwa after inviting herself into their territory, her light purple eyes fixating on the primal broodmother. She sat down infront of her, curling her tail around her paws and speaking up. "Hello, broodmother. I am Sakorii, third king of the Al'twa pride. We have recently expanded on our... Definition of the word 'king', thus, I was promoted to leader. I have seen your cubs that are up for adoption, and I have my eye fixated on one adolescent in particular." The lioness unsheathed a single claw from their right paw, making a vague sketch of the cub's appearance and markings in the frozen ground below. "Her name is Molly, or so I have been told, and I think she would make a lovely addition to our pride. Our prey is plentiful and we have burrows specifically for growing cubs so as to keep them save from the scavenging hyenas that roam near our pridelands. Would you consider allowing her to join us?" She questioned, ears perked upwards in Machwa's direction and her head canted softly. (Molly is SO pretty and I'd love to add her to my pride!) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Azotar approached the den, walking the path so many kings before him had. He seemed nearly ashamed, short tail held low as he approached. It seemed as if he'd seen tough times, his eyes were tired and sunken. But he was fat, and good times had once again found his pride. But not without casualties. He needed to expand again, something he was struggling to do with only two lionesses and an adolescent. "Hello?" He called, his voice deceptively quiet for his size. His head swung towards Makaa as his ears politely folded back. "Hello. My name is Azotar, and my pride has recently come out of a difficult place. I need to expand, and gather strength once more. I would like to take Winter." He sat down, excitement rising in his chest. Bub approaches Karstaag's den with some trepidation, ears forward and large frame drawn into itself in an attempt to make himself seem less menacing. “I heard you have cubs you don’t want any longer?” he asks by way of greeting, glancing between the three broodmothers in attendance of the many small cubs. “My pride could use expansion, as some of the lionesses are getting old, and, well...” He trails off, attention quickly drawn by one of the lionesses. Bub pauses and tilts his head. “On second thought, another hunter wouldn’t hurt. What’s her name - the cairngorm lioness? Caelija? Hmm... might I take her home?” 0 players like this post! Like? |
