 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Cookie padded towards the den eagerly, she had been adopted from this den long ago. Cookie had been sent to take in an adolescent or two for her pride. Cookie bounded into the den and glanced around at some of the prettiest adols and cubs she'd seen in a long time. Cookie's eyes settled on Cora a chestnut adolescent with white eyes and Solitude a henna adolescent with yellow eyes. Cookie silently watched the adolescents for a few moments before approaching Cula to ask if she could take them. Cookie hesitated for a moment and could have sworn Cula was familiar but it was so long ago that she was adopted Cookie didn't know for sure. 0 players like this post! Like? |

A couple marched into the large cave, filled with lions bonding with cubs and leaving with them later on. The couple was Queso, and his only brood-mother Mwepesi. Queso was smaller than Mwepesi, as he was less-advantaged in the rolling. This had caused a cold chill to breeze through his heart, making him snotty and arrogant. He believed he could step into anyone's place and boss them around ~just~ because he ruled over fifteen lands. Queso had his head high, while Mwepesi shyly excited over all the cute cubs. He sent her off to choose one she loved. He owed her after all for dropping her as queen... he guessed it wasn't her fault she wasn't primal. He bathed himself as she chose a few out. She roared at him from across the den all of a sudden. He muttered under his breath as he arrived by her side. "Your loud noises will be the death of me..." "How about this one?" She squeaked. The adolescent cub beside her was gray with darker swirls. He sighed. "Not bad..." turning to the lioness, who seemed quite clawless indeed, added,"may we take this one? @Mizuki It took Cula a while, but she eventually recognized the dark-furred lioness. “I remember you!” she purred, nuzzling Cookie. “You were so young last time I saw you! I’m glad to see you’re doing well!” After a moment she remembered the lioness’s question. “Oh, yes, you can certainly take those two. I’m glad to know they’ll be going to someone I know.” @Aeris (Yeah, you can have her back! I’ll send her over) @Coralyxx Cula nodded. “Of course. It’s nice to see her finally being adopted, after she’s been here for so long.” (Also if you’re not in our clan yet you should check it out! Cookie returned the gesture and smiled. "I always hoped I'd be back some day to visit, My King took at little convincing to let me visit alone but I'm glad he let me make the journey because I got the chance to see you again" Cookie said. A drab but regal king stepped into the den, eyes gleaming. He approached a broodmother (don't care who) with a grin. "My brother told me of this place. It was better than he described." He chuckled, gaze sweeping about the wide cavern. "Too bad my queen was busy hunting, she would love this place." The kind king motioned a tiger-like adolescent over with his tail, then turned back to the broodmother, opening his maw to speak once more. "Could I possibly adopt this lioness? Kavnus pauses at the entrance of the cave, her pie-bald coat was silky and well cared for, jewels glittering and chiming in the wind, She flicks her tail, her pink eyes darting around and studying the inhabitants of the cave before parting her maw in order to speak; "Greetings, I was notified by my subordinate that there are cubs here in need of a home?" Her voice was smooth and silken, like the calm ripple of a hot spring. She studies the young cubs and the single adolescent in a pause, "If you will allow me, I would like to give a home to all of the cubs who need one." She said plainly. Sahloknir Steel Brimstone apprches the den that has cubs waitng to go to a new pride. the cub named Night catches his eye. @Silent Indlovu stared at the lioness for a moment. “You’d really take all of them?” she asked. Then her face broke into a wide grin. “That’s wonderful! Thank you so much for your kindness,” she said, bowing in respect before sending all the excited cubs out of the den. It would be strange, having it be so quiet. But she was sure that the cave would soon fill up again. (I’m sending all but one, since someone else asked for Night!) @Jacimagicwhitedeer “Of course!” said Makaa, purring.
