I boil my chicken eggs and duck eggs and crush them up shell in all and feed them back to the hens, They love them.. We get way too many eggs to use ourselves... We used to donate them to needy families but we are avoiding people right now... The ducks are laying like crazy now I gave a few extra duck eggs to the one duck hen that is setting... So she has around 15 eggs now... Another duck is setting in the corner behind the ladder not sure how many eggs she has.. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Egg shells are great fertilizers for flowers, gardens or anything too :) My grandpa would take a bunch of egg shells crumble them up and spread them around his plants and in his garden all the time, he said it was way more beneficial as a fertilizer than any other crap like chemicals and all :) 0 players like this post! Would the eggshells be good for sunflowers? My mom wants to grow some and their both of our favorite flowers so I want to get her the stuff for it soon 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yes they would, crumble the shells up and just spread them all around them or even just mix them in the soil that you plant around them :) And continue to just spread them around them :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

It is like better than leaves or other things, the degrade in the ground around them:) insects and things wont bother those :) Say like crap dong beetles and things will consume that for starters and some chemicals just aren't good for you at all.. *Freaking double post!!* Oh my goodness :O 0 players like this post! Awesome, I’ll keep that in mind! I have a Venus fly trap I might try that with because I don’t think it’s been eating a lot of bugs, which when they do they produce their own fertilizer but maybe just adding a little bit of eggshell with help em out a bit 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yes, just DO NOT feed them to a dog.. They can't digest them right :) It will cause a lot of problems for them. But they work great as a compose :) 0 players like this post! Like? |
