Baekhyun looked as though someone had just called him a girl, traces of shock appearing on his facial features. Although someone once did mistake him for a girl, that wasn't the point. The point is Baekhyun had missed out so much for simply staying silent. The beta flinched once he saw how friendly everyone is, but quickly covered it up with his trademark cold expression.
"Well..." He trailed off, not knowing what to say. He shifted his feet uncomfortably and decided to go through another route, just to be away from the others. He felt awkward enough.
He shifted silently into his wolf then trotted off as quietly as possible, the exact opposite direction of where the others were going.

Baekhyun dipped low under a branch, avoiding the swinging, rough bark. He knew a shorter way back home, but he didn't trust anyone enough to share it with them. The wolf's ears twitched once or twice, perking up warily at any sign of noise. He felt that the newcomers may hurt them in their sleep, and would most likely discuss it to Luna once he has the chance. For now, he was planning on reading a book at his own house. It was farther away from the others, depicting his usual isolation from socializing, and his eagerness to be alone. The male beta broke up into a fast run, lean body slipping easily through the dense forest. He caught sight of the small cottage settled easily just by the sea, overlooking the many jellyfish that swarmed there. Narrowly avoiding stinging nettle, the wolf panted from all the running, tail lashing at the prospect of his alone time. Deciding he should stop by the Pack House because it had a wider expansion of books, the male swiftly turned back into his human and approached the imposing building.

The short male spotted the warrior just up ahead.

Baekhyun had never interacted much with anyone, resulting in him not knowing most packmates' names. He, however, for the sake of his position, does try to remember. Baekhyun immediately swerved to the left, avoiding the slightly scarred female. He was in no mood to converse with. The beta sped up his pace as the pack house, which was formerly a blur thanks to the distance, was now up close. Compared to the short male, the house looked like an overly gigantic city building, towering over him and casting a shadow. Baekhyun sighed for what felt like the hundredth time that day. He felt... Useless. Firstly, he had little to no friends, and those who do know him think him as simply 'the beta'. To them, he is just a beta- Nothing so interesting about him, just a meaningless high-ranker. He faintly remembered Akemi's words.

Now, Baekhyun was not dumb. He could be creepily observant at times, and he observed at that moment that most packmates refer to others by merely their names. For him... They were so uncomfortable around him that they refer to him as beta. Although it was a sign of respect, Baekhyun's mind slowly turned it into offense.
Baekhyun felt childish from overthinking, but he could not help the wave of loneliness that washed over him. He needed a friend, but he didn't know how to express that. Instead, he'll turn to his books. He was strong, cold. He didnt need company. And his phone was good enough. Yeah, his phone...
Wait a minute, where was his phone?
Baekhyun's eyes widened in horror at the realization that the gadget was not anywhere on him. He must've left it behind. It had no password.

Baekhyun swallowed harshly, feeling sweat slowly start to form on his forehead. With a nervous hand, he rubbed it away and decided to head to his house. Perhaps he should think this over? He whipped around and trotted hurriedly towards his home, where he spotted Kikonsa knocking repeatedly at his home. He squinted, not knowing what to say or do, but realized in one hand she held his phone. Letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding, Baekhyun practically snatched the phone out of her reach once he was close enough.
Bluntly, and utmost ruefully, he snapped. "How did you somehow steal my phone?" He inquired, an eyebrow raising in question at the female warrior.
