@Everyone- I’ve updated the list! WIP or not, you’re added anyway. I know ya’ll will finish and I know that no one’s half-assing things. So ya’ll are fine.

We’ve also got a good mix of different characters, so that’ll be fun.

@Aldywyn- I just realized that Joey is a drug mule. I wonder how well that would pan out for Pierre having a law enforcement background? Might have a bit of awkward tension there. Haha

@Magpie- Don’t sweat it! It would have taken me way too long to write Pierre’s entire history of every person he’s ever lived with. It’s totally fine to skip over some details of character history. You can always mention things later. ;)

@Vespertine- God, I know. Feels like I have to write on and on and on. But personalities are what gets me. :,D

@Everyone- I’d like to get everyone’s opinions on this. I was kinda thinking that I wanted to keep this RP a little on the smaller side. Obviously 20-30 characters or something like that is a really difficult number to keep track of. What do you guys think? I was thinking of capping characters are around 10-15, or just trying to stay under 20 or so, and however many players are controlling all those characters. What do you guys think? If we keep it a bit smaller too, it usually decreases the pressure of responding all the time too. I’d just like some input! :)

As someone who has run roleplays that didn't have a character/player limit I think that's a good idea. With this setting, I reckon 15-20 characters or less would be the best fit. You run the risk of losing track of everyone/giving people unique things to do with more than that imo. Also as someone who can only reply once a day at most it really can be stressful when you come back to find you've missed like five pages bc 50 other people are posting.

Oh, I am for SURE anticipating some awkward tension between Pierre and Joey! It'll definitely be interesting to see how they end up interacting :D

Also, I'm totally down for a smaller group! It can get sorta difficult in large groups to include everyone, and the characters usually either end up having only superfluous relations with a bunch of people or close relations with only one or two other characters, which leaves others feeling left out. Not having to stress about making sure that everyone can participate and interact would be a load off of everyone's shoulders, I'm sure.
Also, like Vesp, I can usually only manage one or two posts daily, large groups can get overwhelming quickly.

Just gonna wait for Magpie’s opinion before we go further. I think we’ll all end up in agreement. :)

I hate to admit it, but when I made this, I was really pushing for literacy. It’s harsh, but it’s kinda one of the only ways to organically put a block on the number of people, since shifters are a pretty popular RP choice. :p When you get lost in like 5 pages of responses, it’s typically a bunch of one-liners. It makes everything move wayyy too fast. I’ll be damned if I lose the reins of my own role play!

I am down for a cap on the characters or whatnot. I have felt left out in roleplays before when there have been more than plenty of people for the rp and its hard to keep track of everything, so I fully agree with your idea, Pembroke

Both of my bios are finally finished! Rafael's is a little dramatic, at one point I imply shifter hunting is an illegal underground sport so let me know if you'd rather I edit that out. Siobhan's is really short and also a little tragic, but hopefully in a more realistic way. As stated before I'm not the best at histories rip. I fear they both seem too alike personality wise, but I'm not changing either of them now after all that writing. :') Also added a trigger warning at the top since my bios include things that may be triggers for some people just to be safe.

Looks great, Vespertine! And don’t sweat it about your characters seeming too similar. They’ll surely take on lives of their own in the RP! ;) I find that what I write in my bios isn’t always what o stick to. Whoops.

I might try and advertise around a little more for this. I technically have my first post written up, but if other people wanted to join, then we shouldn’t start off so quickly. I was thinking to start on Thursday or Friday if no one else joins in the meantime. :)
