Celestial, Skyward and Sidereal have been breed-only since their conception and users have greatly enjoyed working around the slots they are common in or finding new ones. They're well loved, especially Celestial Speckles, in the same vein as Feline 8 or a pretty Vitiligo or Margay. People have spent years breeding these and priding themselves on breeding full Skyward/Celestial/Sidereal kings, or mixing and matching. Hell, we've had new slots introduced via Groupies and July Raffle girls to keep things fresh. Don't make breed-only markings applicable, it removes all joy users get from working on breeding quads. Imagine the outcry if the white Vitiligo marks could be applied- months, years of projects and studs and careful breeding now no more valuable than a king with a pile of applicators slapped on in any order desired. Either: A) Leave them as-is, but perhaps popping up more rarely on July raffle lions (they're already common and appear on groupies anyways) B) Retire them from the July spawn pool, so we work with the slots we have. C) Introduce new markings in those colors as breed-onlys (Celestial Feline? Skyward Lace?) to revive interest but conserve their value and challenge. Imagine people trying for octa Skywards or something, rad. D) Introduce new markings in the colors as applicator marks. I don't like this because then the definition of a quad X could just be one full of applicator marks (like 'octa vits' with three colored vits), but. Eh. Better than the original markings being apps. If people want one of the marks? Buy a cub for cheap and breed it into their projects, like we all have done, or settle for an applicatior that creates a similar effect. Don't mistake the love people have for these markings for a desire to have then handed to us. Please don't set this precident for turning Raffle markings into applicable ones <3 EDIT: We cool we cool, Celestial and co won't be made into apps! Still a thread to look at for... I guess historical purposes?  |

I can't believe this is even a poll. It's literally one of the worst ideas they've proposed. Supported. I've been starting to be annoyed by applicator marks for the longest time now. No one even tries to get breed only marks anymore. Everyone just slaps the same applicators on and every king looks so samey. Now Celestial/Skyward/Sidereal aren't even going to be safe from that if this passes. The November event works because it's truly one month out of the year. You can apply marks, but you can't hoard applicators for a rainy day. If you don't have your heir/king ready by November, tough luck, you can't apply those marks you wanted. I’m honestly just appalled by the fact that they would even think about, much less make a poll about, turning some of our favorite breed-only markings into applicators. Of course people are going to want to take the easy way out and get an app for them! Because who cares about breeding, right? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I honestly wonder how many people read the poll thoroughly and thought through what was being said. If you just read the question, quickly, and are excited about sunrise/other marks, you could easily “Oo!! Yes!!” And vote Yes without understanding that the 2nd poll answer offers a way to both not hurt the breeding community and still get those new markings. I personally paused, Wait what?, and then voted Nooooooo. Add the new marks, but Please don’t make breed-only raffle marks pay-to-have! Raffle markings should not be made into applicators. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It really makes me mad on how they could make a poll on this. I am not a breeder, I don't care so much for it. But I know that there's a HUGE majority of people that do. That's what makes breeding special. So why take it away?!?!?! It makes breeding useless for markings if they're just eventually gonna become apps. Like I like making my lion look nice too, but c'mon this is almost cheating. People have spent YEARS on breeding raffle marks. I have had lions with celestial, sidereal, and skyward markings that were chased NCLs. They're special to me deeply just because they have those marks. Suddenly making raffle marks into apps just makes lions lose their value highly. 0 players like this post! Like? |

With so many applicators existing I'm surprised people still want more. I don't like using them for the main effect, as I find it boring - just some touch-ups, as under whites help a lot. Random marking applicator is pretty close to selective breeding, as you often have to spend hundreds of GB to get rosette or that one or two RMA exclusives you want among 30 others, so I'm not counting that. I'm strongly against their idea. Opal saltlick was already a huge hit. I pick up breeding July markings every now and then, but I'm mostly focused on other breed exclusives. Absolutely support. I think this is the first time I've felt properly disappointed in the way this site is moving? ;~; It just seems like a lazy attempt at courting popularity in a way. It caters to the crowd who want to obtain pretty things more easily, more quickly... whilst simultaneously screwing over folk who have worked hard - with time & funds - to create lions with several of these markings. And in some ways it seems to disregard long-term players in favour of new, more casual members? Putting this poll to the userbase seems a weird move anyway. How shocking. The majority want something rare with less effort. You'd get similar results if you asked whether people wanted any rare mark/base or mutation to be available in applicator form. It's not exactly the best way to go about it - unless you'd already made up your mind and wanted to back up the decision with the 'but it's the will of the people!!!' defense. 0 players like this post! The poll is literally a way to gain feedback and get community input, so even if yes wins the final vote, it doesn't necessarily mean they will go ahead with changing anything. That aside. I support this, because I think they should remain breed-only; and I wish we had a higher volume of hard to get breed-only markings that we have to work hard to get, just like with certain bases (i.e, Pulsar or Temporal being limited). I support this so much! I'm extremely proud of my King, and put so much hard work into him - introducing these applicators would make all my effort/GB I put in a waste, and honestly a kick in the teeth. Hell, if Apedemak has to breed his lionesses for July marks, so should we. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Big big support. So many times we have polls for things like this, and people vote in a really knee-jerk 'oh yeah that sounds great' way, to make things easy in the short term, rather than thinking of the wider repercussions of the options. I'm very much opposed to having previous July raffle marks become applicable. I'd be really upset on a personal level, and I'd also be upset on a bigger scale for other people who have also put a lot of work (or in many cases resources/game currency/REAL currency) into these markings. It's a slap in the face to do a total 180 and make this kind of thing attainable through apps instead of breeding. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of apps, but not in instances like this for something that has previously been breed-only.
