Got an idea from a friend, and now I'm expending on it. Instead of JUST doing the Aurora Borealis, I'm doing the southern lights counterpart, the Aurora Australis as well!. Like Sunrise and Sunset So! Introducing...Borealis and Australis! Here is the first, Borealis. With starry speckles.   Here's it without speckles   Then the purple counterpart, Australis! After much reconstruction.   Now with speckles! Choose your favorite!     Thank you GingerWarlord #72691 for providing insperation and reference colors Thank you zorpidr #181479 for doing the speckles for me! Thank you Havoc 1g RoyOrchid DawnSunrise #128719 for also doing speckles for me! Please give me your feedback! Please keep these photos in mind, these bases are not suppose to be very muted in color. I've diluted them a LOT compared to how they really should be. They are based off these photos, which are very bright in color. Click below to see the images   If you support NO please tell me why! The idea is nice, but the bright saturated color and the super smooth gradient is kinda uncanny to me.  0 players like this post! Like? |

I think the colors are a bit too saturated, and could probably stand to be blended a bit together. I also like the speckles designs more  but would like more if the speckles were more numerous and smaller. Out of the three the first is probs my fav. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I can see the appeal, but i think its a bit much color wise, even for what you're going for. I'd suggest a dark green into a pale light green with the lightest point in the middle and throughout the top of the legs, like the Augur base, 0 players like this post! I hope I don't come off as rude, but in my opinion these are way too saturated. Most Lioden bases are made of more earthy tones like tans, reds, and browns, with the exception of a few bases based on gems/Flowers. These color combinations remind me a little too much of sparkle dogs. I get the appeal! I do like the idea of Australis and Borealis. But probably not as a base. Maybe as a marking set. Borealis would look nice over a base like Noctis or Velvet. And Australis would look good on something like Alabaster. Hope this helps in any way. For the time being I don't support the base sorry. 0 players like this post! Like? |
