Alright gang, I've returned with deets on how to block the maggot decor! Successfully following this guide should result in the decor NEVER appearing, both in the shop or on a lion.

Step 1:
The blocker you want is called UBlock Origin. Unfortunately, I do not know any fixes for mobile at this point

Step 2:
Click on the little shield icon in your toolbar, and press the little slider dial to open the dashboard.

Step 3:
Click "My filters"

Step 4:
Past the following stuff in there and press "apply changes" (Linked for size)

I will always support suggestions like these. I barely participate in the January and March events due to the triggering nature some of the encounters and shop decor have. Always respect people's triggers, even if you think they're silly you have no idea why a certain thing can make someone uncomfortable.

I personally think this would be useful, and even if not everyone uses it, it would be a great courtesy to people that would easily be able to tailor people's experiences instead of blanket banning different types of gore (because some people do seem to like it).

Support; it doesn't hurt anything at worst, and at best it can help tailor the experience to individual user's levels of tolerance.

I'm in support of the route of users having their own custom decor censor list. In that case, it would be fully customized, and it would have to be an 'All or nothing' situation in which you'd either have to look at what you find disturbing, or miss out on what others find disturbing simply because it was commonly disliked.

Support! And I especially like the suggestions of having a customizable list of decor to censor too. I like some of the gory decor and only a few really bother me enough to need to take a break from lioden for a bit.

The adblock I use doesn't let me block specific elements, and as far as I know, that isn't really an option for users who are mostly on mobile.

May I ask which version of adblock you use? Should be possible with most of them as far as I know at least x)
Also I believe it's possible with mobile as well, but if I remember right you needed to use chrome/firefox (?) + uBlockOrigin (?) it's been a while since I last needed adblock on mobile tho ^^

i'm not sure if i got everything right.
so this is supposed to be an option for every user? not something you are obligated to do?
personally i do not mind gore in more realistic games, i rather enjoy it and i'm not upset about it.
so i wouldn't be happy with some decor permanently blocked or something..

It's asking for an option, yes! For example, I could block a decor that you have on your lion and it wouldn't show up for me, but you and everyone else who views your lion (that doesn't have it blocked) would still see it!

And as people have said, some people or platforms don't have access to an adblocker. Having a site feature that allows it would be awesome.

100% support. I have some pretty bad triggers that won't ever come up in LD (really specific but intense stuff- long story) and I know that gore can be really not-good for some. It's worth the effort on the part of moderators to ensure that all users are able to feel safe and not worry about seeing imagery that disturbs them during a game that's intended to be an outlet for stress and place to hang out.
TL;DR Mods can put in the effort to make everyone feel safe esp. since there are some events that are more gore intense than others

I understand that the poaching event is made to make you feel uncomfortable because poaching isn't a comfortable subject, but that doesn't make it ok to make others feel unsafe.
