I know what the title sounds like, but bare with me. This doesn't mean publicly revealing every single mod on site (although I do have a few opinions on that, but I can respect that a certain degree of anonymity should be held).

This means moderators having IDs unique to them that aren't their player IDs. This way, we could tell which moderator did something rather than just attributing it to the staff team as a whole (which causes a whole lot of mistrust with the staff team).

For example, let's say player #ABC is a mod. Their player ID would be #ABC, but when they claim a ticket or send a message in chat as a moderator, it would say Moderator #DEF. This allows relative anonymity, meaning they as a player won't get any hate sent their way, but if say, Mod #DEF somehow messed up very, very badly, players would be able to tell who it was (like a certain chat fiasco a few days ago). It holds individual moderators accountable for their actions, without all the undue hate and threats moderators would face if their player IDs were visible, and I believe it could help staff team and player relationships (which, let's face it, they're not the best at the moment).

Makes sense to me. If I can use badge numbers to complain about/thank specific police officers in a department, then I should be able to give specifics on who I think did not perform to standards here as well. Better than “whichever mod was working between x and y times and did this”.

Completely agree.

This would hold them accountable for actions taken, without being targeted directly. Overall good idea.

There was a time when Mods weren't one big entity.

I absolutely support this. Based on what's been happening lately, we definitely need more accountability regarding mods.

I can't really see why not. There's the aspect of holding certain mods accountable, but there's also the trust aspect. Why should Mod A get a scowl or bad reputation when they've been nothing but amazing and fair, and Mod B hasn't been?

Admins are able to see which mod does what besides the only people who feel slighted are those that continuously bend the rules. Don’t like how things are run? Leave.

Support. Need more accountability and not a veil that lets the entire mod team be demonized- it's unfair to the ones trying to work with the community.

Completely support. I understand not wanting to get hate or whatever, but as the people who run the site they should be held accountable for the decisions they choose to make regarding chat issues or other things.

Support- it keeps their moderating separate from their normal game time while also allowing admins to more easily get feedback on members of the mod team to ensure a more consistent and helpful experience.

Anonymity is great for protecting mods, but it does not inspire trust from the userbase that X mod can be held accountable if they make bad calls outside of modbox, where we can leave a review and call for an admin to look the ticket over. We do not trust mod decisions coming from one amorphous entity where even the number of people involved is unknown. Some accountability will go a ways towards rebuilding that trust.

I don't support it.

I don't see a reason to disclose which mod is who when it would only add to bias when people interact with them. Everyone makes mistakes, sure, but even if we don't know who they are onsite, I don't think numbering mods will make things much better.

I'm pretty sure part of the reason why mods are invisible anyways is due to the fact they would probably be treated differently if not for the anon. Like yeah, we know who Katze, Abbey, Xylax, and Deader are because they're admins, but then mods themselves are just people like us who help enforce the rules. They shouldn't be lashed out at simply because they're trying to instill peace, right?

Except things don't work like that. Just because other mods/admins can see each other, does not mean that the regular users deserve to be left in the dark.
Think about the things you say before you post them.

Support. It's definitely easier to just say "Mod #XYZ did this" when filing a complaint rather than "A mod did this", which can be a bit more nerve-wracking since its so vague.
