I know what the title sounds like, but bare with me. This doesn't mean publicly revealing every single mod on site (although I do have a few opinions on that, but I can respect that a certain degree of anonymity should be held). This means moderators having IDs unique to them that aren't their player IDs. This way, we could tell which moderator did something rather than just attributing it to the staff team as a whole (which causes a whole lot of mistrust with the staff team). For example, let's say player #ABC is a mod. Their player ID would be #ABC, but when they claim a ticket or send a message in chat as a moderator, it would say Moderator #DEF. This allows relative anonymity, meaning they as a player won't get any hate sent their way, but if say, Mod #DEF somehow messed up very, very badly, players would be able to tell who it was (like a certain chat fiasco a few days ago). It holds individual moderators accountable for their actions, without all the undue hate and threats moderators would face if their player IDs were visible, and I believe it could help staff team and player relationships (which, let's face it, they're not the best at the moment). |

1000000% support. It allows individual moderators to be held accountable for their actions whilst still being able to play the game normally. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Pie They should be held accountable when they continuously do a terrible job of enforcing those rules though. 0 players like this post! Like? |

This isn't really a "don't like it, leave" site. There's a suggestion board for a reason. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

@ MRDANNZ, no offense, but a moderator can be rude without breaking the rules. If Mod A is snappy and generally does the bare minimum to help someone, why should Mod B also have that same reputation, which is currently what happens with moderators being just reduced to 'Mod Team'. 0 players like this post! 100% support. moderators should be held accountable for their actions and people should be able to complain about specific mods. tickets upon tickets complaining about mod id #def should and must be used as evidence that a mod needs to be let go 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Svelte I didn't see ANY of these people causing any issues. That sounds like a blind accusation. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 04/05/20 @ 20:14:08 by BionicOven28 (#111298) |

I think this could also help cut some newbie mods some slack too? An incident occurred (pretends to have an understanding of the passage of time) some time ago where new mods struggled to take care of a situation, and a lot of people were upset but were later more understanding since they were just inexperienced mods and not like, mods being irresponsible. 0 players like this post! @[111298] Yes, but the admins will hold them accountable, not us regular members. It's not our job to do that. It's our job to enjoy the game and have fun. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support but only barely. like pie said, it would inspire bias and that would maybe be bad.* * EDIT: I changed my mind after reading replies. I think that the cons outweigh the pros and would lead to incredibly toxic behavior. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 04/05/20 @ 20:17:49 by Frostmeadow (#43494) |

Staff absolutely should be taking the playerbase's opinion into account and they do very frequently @Mrdannz, so I'm not sure what you're arguing. Adding numbers for identification is not going to lead to doxxing. Players will not even be able to see their real IDs. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hey, everyone. While I can appreciate the reasons for wanting IDs tied to moderators, I'm going to firmly state that no, this will not be happening, and no amount of suggestions or petitions will be changing this stance. Please review our Statement About Moderating that was posted in February 2019. There seems to be a rather unfair and untrue rumour going around that our moderators are not held accountable for what they say, do, and how they handle situations. This is absolutely not true by any means. While players obviously are unable to see which mod responds to a ticket, chat, forum topic, etc., our moderators are still visible to our admins. We would not implement a system that completely anonymises staff actions, even to ourselves. If you have a complaint with the way that a moderator handled a situation, there are avenues to go about submitting your complaint. You can raise concerns about a moderator action and not worry about it being shared to a moderator, moderator complaints are worked through the entire admin team and only reach a moderator if we have to reprimand them - even then, the player who complained is not disclosed. 1. You can directly PM any admin. I am very open to hearing about moderator complaints and will address them as I can. 2. You can email our admin support team at support@lioden.com. No moderators have access to our support email. 3. You can submit a Modbox ticket and have it immediately escalated to our admin department. Request that it be pushed to the admins before you submit your complaint, and our moderators will not see it. If the paw colour next to your ticket subject changes from green to yellow, it's in the admin department and can't be viewed by moderators. To reiterate, we will not be implementing a system that allows our moderators to be targeted and slandered. There is no reason for a player to be able to identify a specific mod other than to slander them and tell others to "make sure you stay away from MOD #ABC". We have various methods for you to voice your concerns, and we have the ability to track down who handled what situation. Hopefully this helps to ease any concerns. This will be locked and rejected now. 1 player likes this post! Like? |
