In regards to rumble or future markings, is possible to create an on/off option for certain markings that affect people negatively? An account preference sort of option that could place harmful markings into a lions hidden mark slot while the setting is turned on. If the lion is transferred into another account depending on the users settings it will pop up in its original slot or remain hidden. **This is mainly to support those who have adverse health reactions to certain markings such as the epilepsy to rumble instead of telling them to, "go away". It's to help mitigate their chances of running into these markings. Not all markings will be on/off, just those that pose as a health risk. |

I share the same viewpoint as King (and many others). I actually really liked rumble's original design but that didn't matter once I read that people had the risk of having seizures. There were actual solutions to this marking issue that would have been easy to implement (redesign or removal). The staff just won't. On top of that they silence their community rather than let them criticize a lazy decision. Their community that came to them with actual solutions. I was really enjoying this game but I will now have to leave as I am disgusted with how this was handled. What I really liked about the game was community participation and staff responsiveness. Now those in power would rather silence those who come to them with criticism and solutions? Too REAL WORLD for me. I appreciate that the community is still trying to find a solution but without those in power willing to help it is pointless. I also is do not believe that tge sensoring solution is good enough and is us just settling. I hope you guys find an actual solution but now that the staff has shown that they will take the easy route and silence discussion they will probably continue that pattern. It just taints the game for me. Good luck guys! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I like this idea, but I find it ultimately pointless in the grand scheme of things. The staff outright stated that they are no longer going to take suggestions on this issue and that's pretty telling. To me, it is clear they care more about not getting sued than they do about the health of their playerbase. If they were still taking suggestions, the removal of the marking is the best thing they can do. They're not going to but y'know 0 players like this post! Like? Not supporting. They already changed the marking. It was so nice and now it's just faded and ugly. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Star- So you would rather people suffer instead of having the option to turn a marking on and off that works the same way as hiding decor or den css, therfore making it only affective to the person who puts a black list on feline 7 (as an example). Meaning everyone else on the sight can see a lion with feline 7 but if you choose to hide that marking it just makes it invisible to the player who chose to hide that marking, meaning it wont affect anyone else in anyway. Also, this suggestion isnt just for rumble, its for every marking as there are many ant- specific marking groups so it would mean that it would make everyone happy. The only issue would be coding the invisibility for every single mark in the game and the fact you would rather the player base leave because their concerns are being censored is beyond apathetic. I certainly hope if something like this happens to you that your concerns would be met with helpful solutions to avoid your problem rather than being to to leave the site. 0 players like this post! @Ocean Perhaps change the description to include those who may not like rosettes and feline markings as well. Because that way, they can turn off the marks without havibg to remove the marks. It means those bothered by it wont see it because its invisible but everyone who loves lets say rosettes and felines can still see it. Like what the staff did for rumble for a little brief. The marking comes up as invisible, but in the marking slots it still says the marking name and oppacity, as well as the slot. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I totally understand everyone's concerns over the rumble markings affecting people's health due to health concerns. I especially was concerned when i saw the newspost as I have epilepsy. After looking at the marking and reading through the newspost and this thread I was really upset to see comments were wanting to remove the marking under a guise of supporting removing the marking due to it affecting peoples health but really wanting it to be removed due to the appearance of it(? not sure if i phrased that right). These comments would mention the marking being 'ugly and unappealing' and it would be better for the marking to go due to their beliefs. Has anyone experienced any adverse health issues? I understand that epilepsy and other health issues can be unique and affect people differently. What I don't understand is why these issues were raised now. When the brawl marking was released, which I find very similar to the rumble marking, I saw no topics regarding this only comments that it was ugly. One of my biggest concerns using this site has been people's css dens and GIF profile pictures. Some of the GIFs and CSS used on the site can easily trigger people, but same as the brawl marking I've seen no topics regarding this. This topic should have been raised far earlier in time if people have been experiencing adverse health effects. A temporary/permanent solution for this would be to add a function on the trading and search feature to make sure that the kings and lions you're searching for does not have a specific marking group. Meaning you can look through your friends prides and trades without having to encounter specific markings rather than removing the marking entirely. I don't know how you'd counter threads with lion photos in it but that could be a start. It's really cool to see the lioden community rally behind supporting people with health concerns and the mods taking action. But some of this support is misguided and people have been mistreating other lioden users and mods(notcoolbro). It makes me sad to see people mistreat others on this site as it's usually known as a safe and kind community. I won't be commenting further, just wanting to put my two cents in there *Edited some grammar 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 06/05/20 @ 04:50:39 by minimalist (#132661) |

@minimalist Den CSS can be turned off, we have a toggle for that on our den page. People didn't like brawl, but people weren't having adverse health reactions to it. Personally I think Tumblr is hideous, but that's not why I want it removed or changed. Ther original topic called on the PATTERN to be altered, nor the OPACITY. The opacity was never the problem. Is it really so bad to implement a toggle for it? They've made it not appear in ther past, can't be that hard to put it on a switch, rather than be lazy and say don't play the game at all. I wouldn't use the toggle, I'd just ignore these mark, but if it's really bothering people medically they would be able to. I don't understand why everyone u.s so against casting about their fellow players. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 06/05/20 @ 04:58:25 by Bumble Effects are *Hearsay* (#29513) |

I'd just like to point out that the original topic about this(which was fixing the marking), mainly included the fact that there was a problem, with very vague information with how to fix it without changing the entire marking. While I dont agree with the statement that the things that the admins are doing in response is lazy, having people taking their health into their own hands and choosing to play a game that has elements that can cause health issues for them or not isnt really much of a stretch or absurd action to me. Though I can see why some people are making such a fuss about it as it really hasnt been done before by the staff. Edt: this mainly applies to the current marking issue and those affected medically, and not the markings that people simply dislike <3 0 players like this post! Like? Honestly, this would have been much better than them ruining the entire marking. If this game gives you seizures, you shouldn't play it. It's really that simple. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Shart What happens if someone didnt know that the mark would make them ill. I certainky didnt think a marking would make me have a panic attack. I am not quite certain why, but it did, and this was before the threads were made. Should I stop ppaying the game because of a marking? I am trying to help find ways to keep players on lioden, because I have sunk money into this game, and I certainly dont want to leave after sinking it in. Other aspects od the game havent made me have a panic attack. I can deal with gore and some explore encounters. But the fact that everyone is telling people just to leave is honestly sickening. I truly hope that if anything like this happens to you, you're not met with the same attitude that is being directed at those against it. Also, i support the suggestion, because honestly, there are heaps of markings I think look gross but they happen to be on good looking lions. Being able to hide specific markings would make everyone happy. This really should have been implemented before any redesigns hapened. Unfortunetly, thats the way things happened. But just thing, you dont like a mark like brawl. Black list the brawl markings and bam, its invisible to you while the lad with 10 brawl bombs can still keep their strange mess. The only issue would be coding it, but if it was to be implemented it would be worth the wait. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@shart Just think back to any markings you dont like. For me, its the hyenas, blazes and for some reason onyx vitilgo. Some lions look super pretty but having that mark can be jarring. Or how about a stud you want to stud to looks bomb but has lets say, feline 7. Well, with the black list, you can 'turn off' feline 7 like turning off den css. It means now you can stud to that king, not see the mark, and everyone is happy. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Please don't call me that, it's very rude. You could say that about anything and everything on every site of the Internet and every aspect of life. I saw the suggestion to get rid of the marking and I gave it a "no support". Just don't put the marking on your lions. The marking has already been dulled to being almost pointless. If you have so many problems with the game, why are you staying? I wouldn't want to play a game that gave me seizures and panic attacks. It's sickening that we want a cool looking marking but have already got it dulled down to placate those who don't like it? Everybody has their own problems, but making an entire game or the entire world one big safe space isn't reality. I would support this if they brought back the marking to what it originally looked like and not what it is now. At this point it would just be unnecessary coding. If they bring back the original marking I will change my vote. I don't like seeing all the Satanic/Demonic stuff on here, being a Christian, but I don't ask for it to be removed or hidden. I think it's disgusting and cruel. But I'm not going to ask for a bunch of coding to get rid of maniacal images. Like I said, I will change my vote if they make the image what it looked like originally because at this point it's just awful. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'd say the reason there is a big difference between this case and the other examples like the religious imagery is that Rumble supposedly causes a real, dangerous physical reaction. I say supposedly because while I have read some pages describing how grating, still patterns in images have been found to cause seizures, Rumble still gives me the impression that it would not be enough to do so, but better safe than sorry. Even if it doesn't actually cause a physical reaction and it's a psychological effect from believing strongly that it's dangerous, letting those sensitive to it toggle it off might eventually help them learn how to cope with it. (Though at this point this would be an impressive level of sensitivity considering how faded the mark is right now.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Have you seen how much it's changed? It's been removed from half the body and intensely faded. If they bring back the original, I will change my vote. There is no point now that it barely shows up anymore. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@sharturnet Im sorry, but i was shortening your name because well, yeah. The whole point of my post was to point out that the only thing that has affected me is rumble. The fact that i should have to leave a game over exactly one mark is incredibly stupid. Perhaps you should modbox the mods about the mark if its bothering you to the point of not listening to the point of this suggestion. Ita NOT getting rid of markings. It means that I can turn the mark invisible for MY SELF and continue playing the game, while you can have the mark on your lions. Please, read through what is actually being suggested. Like I said, if this was implimented, i would use it for other marks as well. Please, stop being petty over this. Yes, we get your upset, but the fact you are willing to tell old players to leave over a literal mark is pathetic. Please, we are trying to make a suggestion so everyone can be happy. Even if it doesnt seem worth it, this cn be used for other marks. Like if you didnt like the hyena marks, you could hide them for yourself LIKE hiding Cave CSS or lion decors. 0 players like this post! Like? |
