Winter had come and joy and left with it for now a darkened cloud seem to fall over all that laid within the land. It seemed the world had known of what was to come as days passed, as if a being of war rested among the planes of what was once a peaceful realm and allowed the creatures that lived amongst the trees and castle walls to be consumed with its poisonous desire for battle and blood shed. The clattering of armour of training soldiers, the fear of the citizens grew as a minute ticked by. Michael stared at a painting in the hall as his brother sat on the throne with his head in his hands. The count down to war had began…


And no one would ever be considered safe.

One of the generals at the war meeting hesitantly pointed out that it might be a better idea for Alexander to stay in the kingdom instead of leading the soldiers. The discussion in the room suddenly stopped. Al had been cutting a piece of pie for himself and he, too, stopped when he heard this. "...Too bad it's too close to war to execute a general..." he mused quietly.

Jace was quite nervous about the upcoming war. He and his mentor had returned to Iedra and he was now staring blankly at their garden, running all his medical knowledge through his head.

I believe it’s six. I’m not certain//

Michael had wandered to his own garden. Blue gaze fixated on the statue of this mother. Even in the darkness she still look so gentle, so kind. He walked towards the bottom of it and sat down. Curling up by her feet and closing his eyes. Even if he stayed here he could always feel her warmth, as if she was hugging him. “Things are happening too soon mom…too soon for all of us to even prepare for..”

Jace remembered Michael, whom he had met one night in the forest when he had gotten a little lost. It was really nice of him to take me back to Iedra... I hope he isn't affected in the upcoming war. Jace didn't know Michael was from Logstedshire and thought he was just from a nearby kingdom of it.

Michael of course thought of his friends. He thought of the fellow he met and had led back home to his kingdom despite the fact he was part of one of the enemy kingdoms. Jace was it? Indeed it was. The prince opened one eye to look up at the looming figure of the statue. He took in a breath and counted to ten, shut his eyes tight and sat up.

Exhale. Eyes opening. Mind running a mile a minute. War..not something everyone likes to even think about. He rubbed a spot on his chest, and Michael hated it the most

(Casually looking back at character sheets to try and remember my character's names)

Cora was in Iedra, training with some other soldiers in preparation for the war, partially excited but also worried, just slightly, about her aunt, who would also be fighting.

Raph was arguing with his older brother about whether they should try to escape Logshire and come back after the war, or at the very least, move their sisters to a safer spot.

Quin was studying maps, trying to figure out the most logical route for Iedra to attack Avis and Logstedshire at once.

Jace decided to go talk to some of his soldier friends, who were mostly old veterans who were very chill and not traumatized from wars. He wanted to ask them how to managed to survive the battles. He would pass by the place Cora was training at.

Cora glanced up to see some medic dude walking past. Ah perfect opportunity, now she could actually stab someone since there was a medic on site. She turned back to her opponent with a murderous grin.

Jace seemed to sense great malevolence behind him as he passed, so he turned around. He spotted Cora and her murderous grin and froze.

Cora lunged at her opponet, aiming for his head, but he was fast enough to dodge partly, and she stabbed him in the arm instead. Taking advantage of him being off balance from trying to dodge, she snapped his leg and he hit the ground. She started dragging him by his good arm over to Jace, "Medic! Med- oh it's you."

Jace was speechless and out of medic instinct he reached into the bag he carried with him at all times and started treating Cora's poor opponent. He spoke only after he had bandaged the arm's wound and secured the leg so it wouldn't get worse. "Training...this is training, Cora! You can't hurt Iedra soldiers! Do I need to report you! We can't have traitors before the war!" Jace was obviously feeling very tense from the upcoming war, so tense he yelled at Cora.

Cora's ears flattened, unhappy she was getting scolded, "I'm not a traitor, if anything I'm helping toughen this wimp up! If he can't handle little injuries like this there's no way he could handle the heat of war." The soldier made a muffled noise of pain.

"There's no way he's going to war like this! This-" Jace tried to calm down by taking a deep breath, "This is one less soldier for Iedra."
