Lmao I COULD make 1k a day and I'm still peeved about these high prices. I could be putting my sb to other things but no I gotta spend it on overpriced apps. Event apps are not a rare item, they are supposed to be easily accessible to people that can put a little time to grind event currency. This has royally screwed the small and big time grinders of event currency that sell later when prices rise after an event is over. That's how a lot of people make their money. Now they have to invest and probably NOT make it back. And this doesn't even include the people that are going to drop 15k+ on an app that they don't even get the marking they want.

I’m gonna go a little more on topic here since I think a bit of a tangent has appeared haha
So right off the bat, I’m going to say I support either modifying the current sb prices for applicators, switching it back to meteorite shards (and possibly adjusting those prices) or postponing the change so people have more warning.
I’m gonna play devils advocate here for a minute. I definitely get why the currency was changed. How they’re planning on using the shards will make it more likely for us to use them in the event explore option, so giving them one main purpose removes the conflict of “should I buy apps or should I play the event” while also avoiding the divide between the temple and the future shop. I don’t think any event has 2 event shops that require the same currency that you can buy from at the same time other than the feb event and idk about you but I’m constantly conflicted on how to use my HS during that month. I also don’t see 3+ event currencies bc tryin to get all 3 currencies just seems like hell. SB seems like a fair compromise since it’s something that is relatively plentiful even if it can be hard to get sometimes, and I think its ok.
Now to why I support adjusting the prices. Example: January’s carrion shop. This was already brought up but this used sb. Things that can be bought there include some apps that have 1 option as well as a MOD for OG fur, all under the 4K sb mark. Out of season, I’ve seen the OG fur mod go for ~15 gb worth on a good day. That’s 3x the value which is good!! It’s not too expensive to buy in January (especially because the food pit exists) and has some good pay off. Now let’s look at our friend, the Tefnut temple. The marking apps are 15k sb and go for ~35 gb out of season. That’s just over 2x the value, sb only and during a time when sb is already in high demand due to the interstellar quest along with no SB aid basically. So a lot of grinding for a lower payoff. I think the best way to combat this is to either lower the prices to like 10k max (closer to 8k probably) so there’s a consistent (ish) 3x Payoff and it feels much more reachable, maybe along with a daily event quest that gives SB so that we can event and earn at the same time?? And also price adjustments for the base apps. I’d say 4K is fair for astral, heavenly and divine and maybe matching the marking apps would be demiurge

QUICK SUMMARY (for those who don’t want to read this much): I see why they changed it. In context with other events, it makes sense. In context with other sb event shop, makes less sense.

Sorry in advance if it's annoying or anything to post to your thread Roxanne, but I figured I'd do the math for all the decors in the shop as I believe the decor from this month are also popular? I think it might help kinda put things in perspective a bit.

I added up all of the decor (1 of each) and the decor alone is 38,500 SB. 38,400 SB if you do not include the beetle/firefly thing.

If you add x1 of each applicator on top of that it's a total of 114,500 SB.

If you add 5k for the interstellar quest for 1 account it's 119, 500 SB btw.
Feel free to check my math. I don't think it's off but there is a lot of stuff to add and I did the math via phone so i might have missed somethin!

That said I don't mind if people have to pick and choose what items they want. Not everyone can get everything all the time and that's okay, but I think that this month especially with no warning is a bit too...much? expensive?

July I'd argue has some of the most popular applicators / decor so for newer / more casual players or for players such as myself who turn their SB into GB or use it for things like breeding projects (I myself use SB for eye passing saltlick things which is 500 SB per breeding for multiple lions) then this whole month is pretty overwhelming the more we look into it, Especially if we were not prepared or are unable to have a way to earn extra SB such as selling GB/items.

@Serval, they are 30gb apps when they're out of stores. Apps are always cheaper the month they are available, no? Back in the day I bought sunset/sunrise apps for 6-8gb per when it WAS easily available and grindable. I really do not see the fuss about the 'market' when they had no issue shooting back to 30gb in later months.
