Community Update


Aside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!

Event Adjustments


* The cost of steps in Celestial Explore has been reduced from 5 Meteorite Shards per step to 2 Meteorite Shards per step.
* There is now a higher chance of finding Meteorite Shards whilst exploring than other July event encounters (Apedemak vs Apollyon, finding Menhit, etc.).
* We have added a second poll to the Polls page asking how we should adjust the Celestial Explore enemies, so please be sure to vote on which adjustment you'd prefer.

Tefnut's Memories Reminder


Tefnut's Memories (aka Tefnut's Temple) is still part of the July event and will show up on the Event tab starting on July 2nd. It still has the same mechanics to open (donating items and/or SB) and still contains all items as it did previously. Begging and the Giving Tree


It seems that parts of the community have some confusion and uncertainty where they believe that players asking for Giving Tree drops in Main Chat falls under begging. To help clear up some confusion, we would like to formally announce to everyone that we do not consider players asking for Giving Tree drops as them begging for assets. When currency, items, and lions are left to the Giving Tree, everyone has an equal chance to pick these assets up—there is no guarantee that a player who asks for GB or cubs to be dropped to the Giving Tree will pick up these assets from the Giving Tree. To give benefit of doubt, some players may even ask for others to drop assets in order to spur a "Tree Drop" that they would also participate in.

We will not moderate players asking for Giving Tree drops unless they are excessively demanding Giving Tree drops, or otherwise breaking our rules regarding begging, e.g. saying something along the lines of, "Does anyone have any spare GB I could have? Can you drop it at the tree?" or "Can I have your unwanted adolescents? I'll take them from the tree too!"

We hope this helps alleviate confusion moving forward! If you happen to see our staff team punishing players for asking for Giving Tree drops, please PM a site admin (a list can be found at the bottom of our Contact Us page) or use the Contact Us form to email our Support Team, but keep in mind that punishments are not always visible and there may be additional context to the situation that normal players do not have.

Why come at me sideways when several others here have voiced how these two small changes have drastically thrown this event off balance?

I enjoy the challenge of these events as that's what make them worth doing and the ability to purchase said bases and apps that much more rewarding. I enjoyed this event previously for the difficulties it had as well as the experience drops it gives in the battles. These events are not supposed to be easy from literally day one, none of them are.

I don't care for any of the bases and such offered. I buy them for trading purposes later on in the year. Everyone being able to get these easy drastically effects their resale/trade value which is not a good thing. Yay everyone gets what they want, but that's not how things work or at least, not how they should. This already has had a chain effect on several combo breeder accounts, resale accounts, and others that play differently than you or me.

I know very well I'm not forced to do this event. But I'm also not forced to keep quiet when things are this badly unbalanced and need to be changed back or readjusted in a different way.

If you like to play easy street, good for you! This works out great in your favor. However, I have just as much ability to voice my opinions and concerns as you and everyone else.

But that's just my opinion.

I don't understand why people are saying it's unbalanced NOW. It is so much more fun now that it isn't completely impossible to obtain the things we want. People obsessed with resale value need to chill. This isn't some capitalistic society, it's a GAME. Games are meant to be fun.

The battles are still drastically unbalanced, but I'm so relieved that I can actually make some progress in this event now. I still think A LOT more thought should have gone into the mechanics, and it's definitely not great still, but things are so much better. But also, you don't need to use all your shards at once, so the people complaining about being burnt out already are also blowing my mind. Is no one ever happy?

People really do take this silly lion game way too seriously at times

On a side note, I do think exploring is WAYYY better than fighting, far from it, so maybe instead of focusing on battles and what not, why not try expanding the exploration

The drop from 5 to 2 shards every step is completely fine, I just think it the ratio of shards you spend to the shards you can get is too high, just lower the amount of shards you can get in the celestial explore and it should be balanced out again

@Stash - I've been doing nothing but clicking 'explore' in celestial explore for the last couple hours while watching Netflix. IDK if I'd call that 'fun' so much as 'mindless'. This event's become an idle clicker game until the rates are fixed.

I don't know about you, but I'd much rather click explore and get cores then have to grind those horrible battles
Literally unless you have an abundance of lucky feet you won't be getting anything at that rate

Thank you once again staff! Thank you for lowering the meteorite shards from 5 to 2! It definitely makes a difference!

Only thing bugging me is how over powered the enemies in the Celestial Explore feel. My kings strength shows <<<< on the top bar but he still loses. x-x

But yes, looooving the lowered meteorite shard amount to take steps! Thank you!! ♥

I think this adjusment has made Celestial explore actually broken. In my case, I've been exploring in the Celestial explore for the past 30 minutes yet I currently have more Meteorite Shards than when I did when I started exploring. In essence, I cannot even spend all my meteorite shards with the current 2 step price as the encounters that grant you new shards are so plentiful and frequent. This also makes earning Axion Cores ridiculously easy if you happen to win any battle encounters thrown your way.
I think the price for steps should be brought back up to 5 shards per steps or the frequency of the encounters that grant your more shards should be lowered to combat this issue. As it stands, I could literally spend the entire day in Celestial explore, farm Axion cores and come out of it having more Meteorite Shards than when I started.

Edit: The meteorite shard droprate in Celestial explore is a real issue. I've been in celestial explore for the past 4 hours, yes, FOUR actual hours, and the ammount of Meteorite Shards I have has doubled. I started with 350 shards this morning and I am currently standing at 654, despite actively exploring in Celestial explore for 4 hours. The lowest my shards have been in this entire time has been 330 shards. This is a HUGE issue, as there definitely should be some kind of cap as to how much players can advance in Celestial explore daily. As it currently stands, for players with issues managing their time and hyperfocusing on something (such as myself) the fact that players are able to explore endlessly can lead to players putting the game over their real life. The event is not fun and rewarding, but rather a mindless and endless task to farm event currency.

Thank you so much for explore adjustments!! Lowered step cost/higher shard drop will definitely help; cant wait for battling adjustments to come into action too!

As some of the less lucky people who dont get a ton of shards from either explores, and have been nothing but defeated by the celestial explore enemies, these changes are a lifesaver. There is a fine line between having a challange and being a nightmare for someone. To those of you feeling battles were already super-easy, think of this: if your "challange" makes life a nightmare for other users, there's definitely something wrong with that challange! "Challange" should be a personal kind of thing, it shouldnt ruin the fun for others by making their game too difficult for them to play.

For nightmare difficulty, there is Wolvden. Lioden have always been a chill, comfortable game, where you are able to get 1 of every event item without having to overcome incredible challanges for it; just being active was always enough to be rewarding for Lioden. Overpowered enemies, inability to get enough event currency, and struggling to get enough for things you want are all Wolvden traits, which I dont feel should be brought over to Lioden; as admins have said many times, these two are different games and should remain different!

Edit: just did exploring in regular explore; in 155 energy, Ive gotten 13 meteorite shards, this is definitely not "too many" of them nor too easy to get!
And in the celestial explore, my shard amount does drop; most of the encounters are enemies, which currently Im skipping over, due to impossibility of defeating them. I found 2 floating cores and 2 times got extra shards, and about 10 were enemies! (still, cant really use it much while waiting for enemies to be nerfed)

So if you guys are getting a ton of meteorite shards and lots of shards/cores from just celestial explore, you just got a lucky streak. Other people, like me, are evidently less lucky!

Love the event adjustments!! Thanks for making this a bit easier! Tho now I wish I didn't use all those shards from last year already now that the amount was reduced haha.

I’m also encountering the infinite shards. I tried to use up 10 (just 10!) shards last night and an hour and a half later I had over 100 and really had to go to bed.

Infinite shards means not only infinite Axion Cores and other space prizes, but also infinite SB and Exp from battling, plus some regular encounters award regular Energy giving access to everything in normal Explore. This isn’t just unbalanced - it’s game-breaking, as this game is not intended to be a grind-as-you-like game.

All that needs to change is the extra shard reward in Celestial Explore to go from 2-10 (up to two steps at the old price) back down to 1-4(up to two steps at the new price). The drops in regular Explore are balanced fine imo.

Before, possibly - after a few explore sessions I have encountered some excess in shards from celestial explore.

But ONLY shards in celestial explore need possible adjusting. Normal explore shard drop rates are good now - regular users need to be able to get something to start their celestial explore with.

HOWEVER, no shard rates can possibly be evaluated now. Only once BATTLING changes take actions, and people can actually start battling, can the number %s of shard/core rate really be counted and considered.
Admins keep pushing first-step decisions to later, for some reason battling needed to be fixed before shard drop rate, so we can actually see how much Cores our shards actually yeld, but only once battling is fixed, NOT before then. Its simply no use taking any battles before turbo-overpowered dragons are hosed down to mortal levels.
