I really can’t support this, I have been playing for about a year now, and only managed to get 3 male slots.
There’s a reason why we can’t have female leaders, and having a female leader will make breeding so much harder, and the ability to breed submales is already rejected. (link)
Lioden is just not designed for a female leader.

It wouldn't exactly be the same -- if a female is Leader, submales could be breedable, if nor, so males cannot breed. Even then, Submales can only be bred with the lioness whose the leader.

You seem to forget that females have cooldowns. It would, once again, defeat the purpose of a breeding sim if you can only breed every ~20 days.

Thats..that's the problem though you'd get basically squat out of your "queen" the whole point in kings is they can breed as many times as you have territory and females for..all lions die by 16 and females even in real life stop having heats around 14 so...

Oh, sorry for miscommunication, though I said that these Queens can breed as much as an average lioness could, which means normal heat durations, heat cooldowns, and then at 14 years, your queen will stop having heats.

Again, submale slots are a lot more expensive than lioness slots. You can't even earn them for free.

Lionesses also can't hunt while they're pregnant. If you were to have your queen pregnant, would you be unable to explore or battle for the duration of the pregnancy?

I'm sure that one of your submales can explore for your queen, or maybe even you can appoint a temporarily monarch to explore for your pregnant queen

There's also studding, let's not forget that, also you could even encounter an NPC who can only breed to one of your lionesses you can find in explore.

But then...what's the point? All of these extra steps when you could simply have a main male. Best case scenario, they add a band-aid solution that changes some of the vocab to be more gender-neutral. We already have Lab Test Frogs, besides. There's no point in over-complicating gameplay for a mechanic that wouldn't make sense in the context that, if I may remind you, is dealing with LIONS and not WOLVES.

You keep adding more and more add-ons to every single rebuttal that comes out for this suggested post, and each time they get more and more complicated. If you need to add ten million add-ons for something to be viable, just accept that it isn't feasible.

Inclusivity is important, please do not get me wrong. However, the problem is the way lionesses exist as a game mechanic. It would make for a poor ruler, gameplay-wise. You're asking to change how the entire game functions to add this in.

Doesn't change the fact that females have a breeding cooldown...you know how fast 14 years Flies by on this game? You wouldn't get 💩 out of breeding your leader
