She was quickly behind Sharptongue, although she was leading in the race at first. Cloudheart cursed her legs before desperately trying to catch up. Hopefully he'd wait somewhere, if she'd have to run all the way at this speed she wouldn't be breathing once she arrived. Her fluffy fur was heavy, usually it didn't really effect her but when she ran it was super annoying. It was also quite thick so she got hot much faster than cats with short fur. Hence she wasn't the sportiest cat in the clan. Her mouth was open as she tried to get more air, this was exhausting!

"Sharptongue wait, you're faster I give up, just wait."

She hated giving up but she knew her limits well, and this reached her limits. Luckily she wasn't too bad at fighting because if she was chased by a group of cats she'd rather fight than run.

Sharptongue | CliffClan Territory ---> Secret Clearing | Cloudheart

Sharptongue looked back when she called out to him, asking him to wait, so he did. I mean, that was a no brainer. If Cloudy asked him to wait, he would wait. If anyone else did....there was a 50/50 chance that he would actually stop for them. When he saw her panting, he kinda felt a bit bad. He'd briefly forgotten about how tough it was for her to run with such fluffy fur, much longer and warmer than his short, thin fur. That might be an advantage for her during leaf-bare, but it certainly wasn't right now. He let her catch up and then began to walk to the clearing again. When they reached it, Sharptongue smiled contentedly. It looked just the same as it had when they were kits. Small patches of flowers sprouting from the ground, the bumblebees from which he'd earned his nickname flying around each patch. A clear, still pond lined with rocks and a few lily pads and waterlilies drifting in the calm waters. It felt safe, secluded, like the giant trees were their guardians to keep those who were not Sharptongue and Cloudheart out of their secret clearing.

Cloudheart | CliffClan Secret Clearing| Sharptongue

As he waited she smiled at him, "what a gentleman", she mumbled at Sharptongue with a smirk. They padded off further into the territory until they found themselves on a dreamlike clearing; their clearing. It had always been theirs, at least in their hearts. It felt like home to stand in this well protected place, memories from their kithood flooding her memories. A soft smiled grazed her muzzle, the flowers were blooming and signs of happiness surrounded her. Cloudheart saw bees buzzing around, they had helped her find a nickname for Sharptongue after he had been stung by one on one of their many adventures here.

"It feels like home doesn't it?"

Her eyes were still trained on her surrounding, now looking over the still standing pool with pretty lily pads. It was mystical but in a charming and calming way. She simply loved it here and got a bit sad that she hadn't been here in a while.

Sharptongue purred when she called him a gentleman. "Of course, Cloudy. I'm nothing if not a gentleman." he teased, his eyes sparkling with mischievousness. walked over to the pond and stretched out on one of the larger rocks, letting the sun warm his coat and bring out a deep coppery undertone that came out when it was hit by the light. He chuckled at her saying it feels like home. "Sometimes I almost wonder if it feels more like home than the camp does, considering how much time we spent here as kits." he purred. He got up and stepped into the cool water. The temperature was perfect, not too warm, not too cold. "Come on now, love, we wouldn't want you to collapse of heat exhaustion now, would we?" he called over to her as he waded further into the pond.

She rolled her eyes, the only thing he did all day was flirt, at least that's what it seemed like to her. Not that she complained though, she thought it was funny. The flirty talks that they had, had become normal quite early in their later apprentice hood, so she was used to it already. Cloudheart laughed as he referred to it as more home than camp, it was true that they had often sneaked out of camp when they were kits. And almost every time they were caught while leaving or coming back, still it was worth the time they spent here. It wasn't too windy here and the scents of the flowers gave everything a relaxed atmosphere. As Sharptongue entered the water she followed quickly. No way she wouldn't use the opportunity to cool off!

"No it wouldn't be nice at all if your love over here suddenly collapsed would it dear?"

She had a glint in her eyes as she smirked at Sharptongue.

"Yes, I did go on patrol. Although that was quite uneventful as well." He chuckled lightly. "And I know. I'm more observant than you think." He smiled, watching a bird in a tree.

Sharptongue | CliffClan Secret Clearing | Cloudheart

Sharptongue smirked right back at Cloudheart. "No, it really wouldn't be nice if that were to happen, darling." he said smoothly, not denying what she said, wanting to see her reaction. Now, he did feel that slight heat prickling under his fur when she called him dear. "I might just have to carry you back to camp if that were to happen and annoy the medicine cat again." he said with a purr of amusement. She was the only she-cat who he would flirt for this amount of time with. He might briefly flirt with other she-cats before, or call them love or darling, but that was just how he was. He hadn't flirted with other shes in a while though. Probably because he didn't interact with many other cats in the clan overall. He briefly flicked his tail over he back before turning and beginning to swim around the pond some more, briefly dunking his head underwater so the air felt less cold. He came up and was sure he looked ridiculous, he could feel the water dripping off of his ears, eyelashes, and the tips of his whiskers. He would probably consider his appearance akin to that of a drowned rat if he saw himself, and couldn't help but laugh at the mental image.

She laughed at him smirking back at her. He was just so silly, but she loved that about him. Although, she just noticed that he didn't deny that he loved her. Was that a sign or just her delusional self? A slightly shocked look came over her, but she quickly let go of it to pad towards the deeper end of the pond. Her paws slowly couldn't reach the ground anymore and so she began swimming. Cloudheart, to her own surprise had actually learned to love water and especially swimming. It was very relaxing and all the weight of her fur disappeared into the waves. She sighted feeling relaxed until she caught a gaze of Sharptongue looking like a wet rat. Cloudheart couldn't stop a giggle from escaping her, she laughed while describing how he looked to him.

"You look so silly Sting! Like a wet rat!"

Her paws were still moving in the water to keep her head above the slightly cold liquid. It was a good skill to have, not often but sometimes kits would wander off to small waters to test their none existing swimming skills, these same kits then needed to be rescued by cats that actually knew how to swim. After she had finished laughing at Sharptongue she noticed that she'd probably look the same if not worse when she left the water, oh well.

Sharptongue smiled when he saw her expression turn to one of shock, and he winked over at her. Then, when she giggled at his appearance, he attempted to look annoyed, but it didn't work very well. "Oh yeah, you're gonna look a lot better when we get out." he said sarcastically, splashing some water on her head with his tail. He was glad that they'd found this clearing as kits, or he may have never learned to swim. He didn't know of many good bodies of water for swimming within CliffClan. In BloomClan and RootClan they had their streams and rivers, but he wasn't sure about CliffClan.

Falconflight | FogClan Camp | Bloodclaw

Falconflight felt herself relax more at that. At least he already knew her name, that made her feel less awkward than before. I mean, it would be a bit awkward if she knew his name, but he didn't know hers, right? "Well, it's probably for the best that patrol was uneventful for you, considering that if it was eventful that could mean having to deal with other clans or predators. Something of the sort." she remarked. She noticed his gaze drift into a tree, and her gaze followed. There was a small bird, looking like a warbler of some sort, hopping from branch to branch, its small wings making the lightest sounds as it did so. She found her gaze going back to the ground, more specifically to the tom's paws. She knew his name, obviously, but she had wondered what had happened to his claws that gave him that name. "How did you get the stains?" she asked, and almost immediately felt nervous about the question. For all she knew there could be a sensitive story behind those claw stains.

Bloodclaw looked at his claws, as if they were an interesting rock he had found. "I hunt too much. That's all." He laughed lightly, looking back at Falconflight.

“Nope. You said it almost perfectly. The only thing wrong was that since you were in the lead, she saw you first. She was terrified of the awe-inspiring Sharpcry, deputy of RootClan. We were just there. She already knew who Rivertail and I were, somehow.” Mountainstep smiled, glancing at Sharpcry.

“That’s amazing!” She looked up with wide amber eyes at Sharpcry, hoping to eventually be like her. “I wanna be deputy just like you!” The tortoiseshell batted at the deputy’s tail, pouncing on it. “I caught something!”

Onyxcloud padded through the foggy forest, looking for something to do. Maybe some cat to chase away, or something impressive to hunt. She pricked her ears, keeping her green eyes trained ahead of her.
