“Alright, I’m back in a moment.”, she said then opened her wings and took off. She flew above the tree tops and hovered there. She could see a castle in the distance. It was a bit difficult to say how far away it was, but it shouldn’t take too long if she flew. After she made sure she didn’t miss anything else, she landed again. “I could see a castle. My best guess for answers would be there.”, she informed him.


Void

She memorized the description of the village as best as she could, so she could avoid this place. She paused a moment to think before answering Akira. “Well, it happened to me. I just woke up here and don’t know how I got here.”

'Are you certain there isn't anywhere else that poses less of a..risk? I'm not really a fighting snake.' Vex lowered down, his head against the ground. he seemed fascinated by all the leaves here, as if he had never seen this much foliage.

Akira looked Void up and down. She sighed, "Do you know how you got that injury? Or was it there when you woke up?" She paused before continuing her entourage of questions. "Do you at least know where you want to go? Staying in one place without your memories is dangerous. Plus, you won't find out anything staying here." While she sat waiting for the wolf to respond, she tied her supply bag around her torso.

Vex had a point. Going to the castle was pretty risky, especially since she didn’t knew anything about how this kingdom is ruled or its laws. She also wasn’t exactly a fighter either. She may have learned a bit about fighting during her time with the rebels, but it was mostly self defense and how she could help her allies in a battle with her shadow camouflage, but no actual paw to paw combat. “You’re right. The castle is probably too risky. I haven’t seen a village, beside that by the castle.” She paused a moment, then suggested. “Maybe we could find a local and learn a bit more about this place.”

“No, it’s fresh, so it must’ve happened when I got here”, she replied, then paused to think about Akira’s other question. She hadn’t really thought about that. She mainly wanted to find water and/or food and maybe some answers for now. “I’m not sure. Someplace safe and with a shelter for the night, I suppose.”

'Perhaps. but how do we find a local.' He said after a moment, flicking his tongue out. he could scent water, sort of. There could most likely be a local there. Vex may not know a lot about living in the wild, but he knew animals usually liked hanging around water. He pointed his head to where he could smell it, hoping Moira understood.

Akira nodded, “Unlucky for you the closest place like that is a 4 day travel. Unless you want to test your luck in the village I mentioned earlier.” She stood packed and ready to go. After she took a few steps she paused and looked over at the wolf. She cussed softly,” Your still seriously injured so until you are well you can travel with me. I’m heading towards a safe small town but like I said it would be days til we reach it.”

“Hmm”, she made. At home, the easiest way to find a local would be to go to the nearest town or village, but she hadn’t seen one, except for the one near the castle. Then again, she didn’t knew anything about the customs of this place, maybe the locals here had a different lifestyle. She followed Vex gaze. “Do you have an idea?”, she asked.


Void

“I’d rather not.”, she said. It was a really nice offer of Akira to travel with her, but she wasn’t sure if she could trust her, so she was a bit hesitant. Then again traveling with Akira was probably the best chance she had at surviving. Even if she weren’t injured, she still had no idea how to hunt. Maybe Akira could teach her a thing or two about hunting. “I’ll come with you. Thank you.”, she said and hurried to follow her.

'Water.' He murmured, flicking his gaze to Moira. 'Its near, and if you and i were here, others were too. Maybe there'd be someone else near the water.' The snake repeated, sure of this conclusion. 'Either that, or there's a massive predator that could potentially kill us.'

Akira went at a slower pace to ensure Void wasn’t pushing herself too much. “I heard of a few routes that known to be safe. In a case where there is some sort of attack I want you to run into the woods until you cannot see a trace of me or any of the criminals. When I dealt with them I will come find you.” She turned and looked at Void before continuing, “Since you are injured I will cover hunting and gathering any other resources. All I ask of you in this trip is to not travel too far and don’t cause any trouble. When we reach the town I will stay with you until you tell me otherwise.” She sighed lightly, “I know this is very uncomfortable circumstances for you. Traveling with a stranger into unknown places. You don’t have to trust me or even enjoy my company but I am here to help.” She pulled a small dagger from her bag and attempted to give it to void. “Take this. In a case where I won’t be there I want you to be able to defend yourself.”

His conclusion sounded reasonable and she didn’t have any better ideas, so she nodded. “You could be right. We should go to the water.” She sniffed the her and could smell the water too, maybe it was a river. “We should be careful though.”, she said. She knew so little about this place, so there might as well be a giant predator at the water, like Vex suggested. If that is so and the predator hadn’t noticed them, her shadow camouflage would help her staying unnoticed. Possibly Vex too, though she wasn’t sure about that. It works with her clothes, so it might works with someone else too, if they are close enough, but she never tried that. She ought though, if it really works, it could benefit the rebellion greatly.

Void

She nodded, to run away should there be a fight sounded reasonable, given her circumstances. And Akira was right, she was uncomfortable traveling with a stranger and she didn’t quite trust her. Akira had been nice so far, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t try anything later. She could imagine something better, but she was injured and had no knowledge on how to survive in the wilderness, so traveling with Akira was the best option she had at the moment. Then Akira attempted to give her a small thing, she stared at it and blinked in confusion. Her usually gray markings even turned to an orange-purple. After a moment it was pretty clear that she had no idea what that thing is. “I’m… not exactly sure what I’m supposed to do with that.”

'excellent!' Vex flicked his tongue out, nodding in agreement to Moira. The large snake raised his head again to see more, his dark green scales illuminated by the light and looking quite unnatural. 'How long do you suppose it'll take to get there..?'

She wasn’t sure how long it would take to reach the water. It dependent on how far the water was away. And how fast were snakes? She looked at her injured leg. She would definitely slower on foot. “I’m not sure. But it will probably go foster then I fly.” She looked at Vex. She could be able to carry him. If she flies in the general direction the water is in, she should see it from above.

'I could just use the trees, though I am not very experienced in such things.' Vex paused, trying to figure out why Moira was looking at him like that. she certainly couldnt carry him, she looked like a small wolf. small enough for him to eat, even. not like he would, he only ate those frozen mice.
