Toby
"Of course I can find my way back!" Toby purred, softly licking the top of Gentlebreeze's head, following her as he stood, flicking any last remaining bits of thyme from his thick orange pelt. He returned her nuzzle, before starting off towards his housefolk's garden, walking beside her at a somewhat leisurely pace, confidently leading the way towards his home. "The Housefolk shouldn't try and bother you, they mostly keep inside, especially when it's all cloudy and grey like this." Toby paused his chatter for a moment, a sudden idea occurring to him. "Have you eaten anything? I know you'd never eat pellets, of course, but the housefolk like to give me children for the evening meal." He swiped his tongue over his muzzle, easily able to picture the delicious flavor.

Toby continued along through the woods, still talking with Gentlebreeze as the woods began to thin out, the towering pines slowly transitioning into much younger trees and bushes, leaving the two cats almost silhouetted against the stone-grey sky. He smiled back at Gentlebreeze as they stepped onto the hardstone path, leading the way back to his garden.

/guess who accidentally clicked reset and had to retype almost all of this

Aureum

The small feline purred as her housefolk rubbed under her chin. The bell on her lavender collar tinkled. The black and white kittypet looked up, confused, as her housefolk stopped, to pick up the odd little box that glowed whenever she touched it. Her housefolk spoke to the box, and Aureum huffed. When they first adopted her, they played with her all the time, sometimes inviting smaller twolegs to play with their new cat. But now all they did was pet her and walk away or do something else. The kittypet stood to her paws, shaking out her fluffy kitten fur. She jumped down from the padded ledge, which she'd heard other kittypets calling a "couch". It was such a funny word.

Aureum walked over to the flapping door she was occasionally let outside from. She mrrowed to her housefolk, but they still spoke into the box, and shushed her sharply. The kittypet meowed louder, demanding to be let outside. Her twoleg finally stood, grudgingly unlatching the door. The small feline immediately jumped through, her bell tinkling as she jumped through. She purred in satisfaction, breathing in the fresh air.

The kittypet padded around the garden, hoping to find a lizard.

Gentlebreeze

She padded after Toby, her pink paw pads flashing with each step. She walked right next to him, her flame pointed fur rubbing against his orange tabby fur. Gentlebreeze knew this was wrong. Not only to be secretly in a relationship, but with a kittypet, and straying away from her clan for the night. She glanced back every so often, slightly on edge. She hoped none of her clanmates noticed her long absence, and demanded a search party. She was snapped out of her thoughts as Toby spoke. "The Housefolk shouldn't try and bother you, they mostly keep inside, especially when it's all cloudy and grey like this." he mewed, before continuing. "Have you eaten anything? I know you'd never eat pellets, of course, but the housefolk like to give me chicken for the evening meal." he asked, and she noticed he swiped his tongue over his muzzle.

"I ate a little before sunhigh, as soon as the hunting patrols came back." she mrrowed, thinking of the savory taste of warm squirrel. "What's chicken? We don't eat anything called that." she questioned, her eyes confused. What *was* chicken? The word sounded a little funny. She sniffed the hardstone path before she stepped on it. It smelled unnatural. She gingerly placed a paw, before continuing after Toby.

i sure hope you meant to put chicken instead of children ))

// wait oh no I didn't notice that
I am actually dying laughing
Toby just eats a child for dinner

Owlstar
Gentlebreeze and Hawktalon were still out of camp, and he was beginning to get slightly impatient, his tail flicking, and ears slightly lowered, as he groomed his brown tabby coat, simply to pass the time. He wanted the whole clan back in camp, but if Rustbelly couldn't find Gentlebreeze quickly, he had ordered her to just grab Hawktalon, and return to camp. The sky was the color of the large mountain cliffs, a deep grey that seemed to swallow up any hint of sunlight trying to peak through the clouds. Owlstar wanted to hurry, get the ceremony done before rain started to fall.

Toby
He watched Gentlebreeze set paw onto the hardstone path, eyes soft with love. He had always thought it was cute, how Gentlebreeze was so unfamiliar with almost anything to do with his housefolk, even something as simple as the hardstone paths that lined the carefully manicured lawns, connecting twolegnests, and protecting them from having to set paw on the thunderpath. "It's good that you've eaten already, I don't think there would be much in my housefolk's nest that you'd like." Toby mewed apologetically. "Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what a chicken is. I know they lay eggs, I heard one of my housefolk yammering about it, but that's about it. They must be some pretty big birds though." They had made it almost all the way to his little garden, with only a couple more twoleg nests left to walk past.

Gentlebreeze

"I can always hunt for myself you know." she mewed, each paw step on the hardstone was almost forced. She almost looked like she was tiptoeing around sleeping foxes. "Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what a chicken is. I know they lay eggs, I heard one of my housefolk yammering about it, but that's about it. They must be some pretty big birds though." she listened to his words, but kept her eyes on the hardstone. She didn't trust it. She felt unsecure on the open space. A twoleg could come out of nowhere and snatch her up. She flinched as she heard the distant noise of a monster rumbling. "I eat eggs occasionally, they're messy though." she mumured, slightly overwhelmed by the new environment.

The faint noise of a dog barking rang in her ears. How did Toby manage with all this racket? Dogs usually mean death in her clan. Monsters meant danger. She never realized how dangerous it might be to be a kittypet, living so close to monsters and dogs.

Aureum

She spotted movement, and her pupils dilated. A lizard! She went into a crouch, her haunches wiggling as she prepared to pounce after it. She launched at it, and it raced away from her. Aureum scrambled after it, knocking down oddly shaped bowls which shattered with an ear splitting noise. The lizard crawled under a large rock. The kittypet huffed in annoyance. The door leading to her nest opened quickly. One of her housefolk looked around the garden, shards of those bowls everywhere. It shouted at the young cat, which scared the kittypet. She scrambled up and over the fence that bordered her garden.

Toby
"What's your favorite kind of prey to catch?" Toby asked, ears perked, curiosity clear. The only things he really could manage to catch were animals that had been injured, like the occasional bird that would fly into the window, and break it's neck. Toby always felt bad when he saw the poor creatures, but he still used them for hunting practice, putting them out of their misery quickly enough, usually giving the prey to some of the less fortunate strays in exchange for the occasional tip on what streets to avoid, what dog had recently gotten loose, ect. "Eggs? Really? My housefolk would probably throw a fit if I tried to snatch one of those." Toby smiled, gently brushing his tail along her flank as he stepped off the hardstone path, into the carefully cut patch of grass that lay before the fenced in garden. "Make sure not to land on those weird little pots of dirt over there. The housefolk really don't like it." Toby grinned, remembering when he had purposely tipped one of the pots over to get revenge for a accidentally stepped on tail.

He leapt for the fence, landing neatly atop it, as he listened to the distant barking that had started Gentlebreeze."That's just one of the dogs that live a couple nests over. He's pretty old, I wouldn't be surprised if all his teeth had fallen out by now." Toby laughed, waiting for Gentlebreeze to join him up on the fence.

Hawktalon

"I.. didn't mean to leave you and mother. The way the clan was just going to ruin, and it turned out to be true." She let down her guard, and got up to approach her younger brother, affectionately bumping her head against his. She was oblivious as to why he was by himself, why he never became a warrior, or what he has done. But none of that was on her mind. "My leader, Owlstar, is a very understanding cat. Perhaps I can convince him to let you become a PineClan cat?" She asked him. "All of the cats are still Shadowclan at heart, but with more... trust and care for each other." She tapped his shoulder with her tail. "Come, don't worry." Hawktalon felt an obligation now, as an apology for leaving her kin behind.

Sootpaw

Sootpaw initially felt unsure, but the more he thought about it, the more he saw this as an opportunity. "Alright, I'll trust you." He said, following her through the pine trees. They stopped on their way, for Hawktalon to grab the wad of cobwebs she promised. They weren't very far from the camp, as They both slipped their way into the camp entrance. Sootpaw looked around, admiring the camp these cats managed to make. Even with the smell of sap and beaver stink, he could see how this felt like a piece of Shadowclan, somehow.

Hawktalon

"Stay here for a moment." She purred, padding quickly to the Healer's den and poking her head in. "I've retrieved your cobwebs!" She said, sounding quite peppy, which was very different from how she was on a day to day basis.

Owlstar
He was already rather annoyed by Gentlebreeze's absence, and the arrival of a stranger in camp did nothing for his mood. At least Hawktalon had returned. He leapt off of the meeting log, muscles bunching under his pelt as he landed deftly on the pine-needle strewn earth of the clearing. "Hawktalon! Who is this?" He walked confidently, tail held high, towards the stranger, looking down at him with a mildly annoyed glance, before returning his focus to Hawktalon. "I was about to give Palewind her prize, and start the feast." Owlstar wasn't sure if he should simply chase the stranger out, or allow him into camp, at least for a little while. If it was just a rouge or a loner, Owlstar might share a bit of prey with the cat, in exchange for some information on any potential rouge groups in the area. But if the strange cat posed a threat...

Owlstar wished he had his deputy by his side. He could use another opinion right about now. His flicked his tail rather irritably, but stared down at the younger tom. Something about him seemed vaguely familiar, but Owlstar couldn't quite place the scent. A cat they had already run into, perhaps? Strange.

//I was assuming that Owlstar would remember something about Sootpaw because they were both alive about the time when Shadowclan fell, but lmk if you want me to change that lol

Nettlesnap

'Like a weird hivemind-' He looked away, finishing off the last scraps of the mouse snack. A new scent reached his nose, interrupting him and forcing him to lift his head to observe. What now?
Nettlesnap's eyes set upon a small strange cat, someone he didn't know. A loner? A rogue? Whatever it was he was just glad not to be the newest cat in camp. Atleast until the older warriors chased it out "in the name of honor" or the sorts.

The tom nudged Palewind lightly, motioning a paw towards the commotion. The familiar aura of authority held in the air and he decided to watch the leader whilst he attempted to guess Hawktalon's response.

Palewind

The she cats eyes narrowed as she watched this new cat enter the camp. She watched her leader and Hawktalon, well Hawktalon was showing no signs of aggression so why should she? She glanced at Nettlesnap.” New cat joining?” She quietly asked where the group couldn’t hear her as her tail swished behind her and she perked her ears with a little bit of interest.

Gentlebreeze

"What's your favorite kind of prey to catch?" Toby asked. Gentlebreeze thought for a moment. Her clan liked beaver, but she herself, not so much. The stink of the corpse was too much for the Medicine Cat. "I like squirrels, sometimes birds too." she mewed, licking her lips. "Eggs? Really? My housefolk would probably throw a fit if I tried to snatch one of those." Toby continued, padding beside her. "I could try and get you an egg or two to try. There's a lot of birds here." she mewed, looking at the sparse trees. Eggs were easy to get, but getting past the birds was another story.

"Make sure not to land on those weird little pots of dirt over there. The housefolk really don't like it." Toby quickly pointed out, a mischievous look on his face. She nudged him playfully, and continued beside him. She still was on the lookout for bird nests.

Suddenly the feeling of Toby's warm fur beside hers disappeared. She looked up as she heard scratching on wood. Toby sat atop the odd border, waiting for her. "That's just one of the dogs that live a couple nests over. He's pretty old, I wouldn't be surprised if all his teeth had fallen out by now." he reassured her, slightly laughing. Gentlebreeze mrrowed in amusement, before clawing her way up beside him. The fence on her soft paws slightly hurt. They were used to soft grass, not wood.

Nettlesnap

'Looks like it.' The tom tilts his head and shifts his position, eager to make a good impression on the new member. 'You think Owlstar will let them stay?' He murmured quietly, glancing at Palewind for a millisecond. The cat seemed young, far as he could tell. Had they survived by themselves? Nettlesnap bit his tongue, his black tail tip twitching.

The stranger had done nothing so far- just the fact they had also survived being a loner, and had the nerve to enter this clan, probably being welcomed by the older warriors, made him dig his claws into the soil. If the other clan bloods were kind to this newcomer then why were they different to him?

Palewind

The she cat nodded.” Just by the looks of it I’d say so.” She stated as she watched the almost irritated look and feel Nettlesnap now had on him.” Hey calm down. It’s okay.” She stated trying to get the Tom to stay calm before he acted too rash or said something to Owlstar he shouldn’t have. She didn’t want that for her friend, she didn’t want him to be punished for acting too rash.

He stifled a subtle growl of annoyance and lay his head on his paws, nudging the last few scraps of prey away. Calm down? Those words hardly were effective. Ever. Despite that he held his tongue, letting out a huff and watching the interaction. 'Im fine, i know-'

Hemlockshade is resting in the clearing, waiting for the supposed meeting to occur. Actually, it's more like an awards ceremony where some sort of prize will be awarded. While a small part of him is curious, a larger part is waiting for this to be over. It's unfortunate that it will be raining, everything is going to be wet. And the feeling is one he'd rather avoid, he's not a riverclan cat after all.

His ears prick, then flatten when Hawktalon comes in with a stranger following them. Oh? So they're just letting anyone in now? He grunts, tail curling around his haunches. 'Might as well call ourselves thunderclan. Give every single cat we meet a tour of the clan, and let them stay for dinner' He thinks grumpily. He certainly hoped Hawktalon had a good reason for bringing some stranger into the clan. Though what happened was out of his control, there was nothing he could do.

-

Cicadapaw tiredly exits the apprentice den, eyes half open. The ginger she cat gives a big stretch, looking around the camp. Some prey she'd eaten hadn't agreed with her stomach, so she had passed on the competition, given some herbs for the cramping and then slept. Now she was waking up, and it seemed that everyone was here.

Nose twitching, she spies the beaver in the prey pile. Yup, competition was over. She wondered who won, and what the big prize was. There's really no telling, however as she's scanning the camp, she sees an unknown cat.

Her fur immediately bristles, ears flattening against her skull. Who was that?! Were they a bad cat, or a good one? The traveling to the territory that was their home had taught her to be wary of strangers, and that was certainly a stranger. Cicadapaw immediately assumed the worse, and backsteps until she's sitting against the apprentice den, side leaning against the wall.
