This is half a vent topic and half me seeking advice. Over the years, I've been self-sufficient, surviving largely on breeding item and applicator sales. And I've managed to pack away hundreds of GB in savings. However, lion market is crashing, non-hybrid / special mutie market has crashed, breeding item market is faltering, applicator market is crashing, and worse yet, the Patches market I spent upwards of 200 GB on apps for crashed not even a month after I bought them. My entire savings are drained due to this. I never made back the costs. That was over a year ago. Things are getting worse. There's simply no end in sight, and things keep being made worse and worse. I've almost never had to seek advice in the last few years, but there's a first for everything. What are you selling, and how are you and your projects surviving this? I usually pick up some groupies and do that, though my time is unreliable and i can't always be on all day. What project groups are profitable at the moment? I don't want to get into RLCs and hybrids because the popular ones just aren't aesthetically appealing to me, and I just don't like the hybrids. Projects that require me to give up my kings or buy expensive lions are right out, too. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rare slot collection is one part of the community that likes keeping their marks rare while also ensuring they don't die out. Everyone wants their lion to be the most unique it could be! I know I have paid well over 100gb in the past month or so all for the sake of rare slots. I'd also suggesting breeding for your own project lines! Clones of private RMR projected lions (usually involving rare slots on combo bases) can sometimes sell for more than RLs. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm currently doing that, but I'm not particularly concerned with rarity. My lineages are themed after the skies in the PS4 game, Bloodborne, and curate Bloodborne reference names for lions in short lineages. What does RMR stand for? I suppose I could make the final iteration of current Yharnam an exclusive lineage, but there's zero guarantee that anyone would buy studs or his offspring given how everything's tanked. 0 players like this post! Random marking replacers! Other than raffle lions, the only way new marks can get to the lioden gene pool is from them. Unfortunately, getting into that is expensive also as the chances for it are slim. There isn't really much left on Lioden where someone could profit without having to put a lot in of their own currency. I miss the days when I joined. I remember saving up everything for a piebald king, and once I had a pie king I was able to make profit for myself. Now its easier to buy and king a piebald than it is to sell the offspring! 2 players like this post! Like? |

Lol, I've seen people spend 200 GB on RMAs and still not get the marks they want. LD is so bloated with trash marks you'll get. I spent about 200 GB on two different Patches apps on my last 2 kings and them dropping the price on BF app tiers ruined the market. oversaturated it so badly I like event BO and a few raffle marks - seal is pretty. Most RMA marks look bad on lions to me. Not because the marks are bad. IMO, The biggest issue with certain marks I love - like Seal - is lacking the proper palette to do anything with em. Seal's great, but it matches so little. Same with Cimmerian. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I did buy some cheap muts today, only for the intention of foddering. I can only buy 2 or 3 though, which doesn’t make a significant difference. It’s because I don’t have much currency. Barks and Buffies being worth 10-15 hurts my soul. Spending large amounts of time and GB during february to make little to no profit in return is horrible. Meanwhile crunchy prices are rising, about 2-3 weeks ago they were sitting at 30 or so, and now theyre passing 50 in some cases. Nightmare. 3 players like this post! Like? |
