Dewleaf | Fernclan Camp | Salmonleap

Heart eyes and butterflies? Dewleaf smiled, she wondered if she really would ever get that one day. The she-cat couldn’t help but feel bad for Salmonleap. Froststar would have of course taken in Storm if he would have wanted to be in the clan. Dewleaf tried to hide her frown, Salmonleap didn’t deserve that. However she had seemed to come to terms with it. The Queens question interrupted Dewleaf’s thoughts and she felt her fur grow hot. “O-oh I’m not sure.” she stuttered, shuffling her paws nervously. “I haven’t really gotten to know any of them too well.” She thought about the question for a moment. She had of course grown up with Flipwing and his brother Fishsnout, she enjoyed their company but hadn’t spent too much time around them. Honeystep seemed like a sweet tom, but she hadn’t gotten to talk with him much either. Nightshade seemed like a kind she-cat as well, she could see enjoying a conversation with her as well. “I’m sure I would get along with them if I tried to talk to them… it’s just so nerve wracking for some reason.” Dewleaf said with a dramatic sigh. “It’s easy when it’s stuff about the clan, hunting, border patrols, but when it comes to a normal conversation it’s like all the thoughts in my head vanish.” The Maine Coon continued, placing her tail gently over her paws. “If only everyone was as easy to talk to as you Salmonleap.”

Badgerpaw | Western Fernclan Territory | Aldergrove

“Okay!” Badgerpaw agreed, he wouldn’t mind digging up toads. It seemed like it would be fun. Badgerpaw followed Aldergrove over to the small stone. He had never thought about flipping stones and wood over to find things. Badgerpaw sat next to the older tom and examined the earth worm. He smiled softly and batted at the worm, eyes dilating in excitement as it squirmed around. He hadn’t sat down and had a little fun in what felt like a long time. After his parents death, he had kept to himself for many moons, too sad to face his clanmates. At this moment, he felt almost normal again. “What else can you find under stones? Those Salamanders?”

Foxeye | Fernclan Camp | Flipwing, Honeystep & Quillpaw

Foxeye nodded in agreement with Honeystep. “Yes, please lead the way Flipwing.” The she-cat said before turning to Quillpaw again. “This will be a perfect chance to get in a little hunting practice as well. There’s a bit of wind today so it will be a nice challenge.”

Froststar | Fernclan Camp | Shadeflower & Shallowstare

Froststar’s gaze followed Shadeflower and Shallowstare. His eyes narrowed slightly as he watched their conversation seemed to get a little less pleasant. “If you’ll excuse me Fishsnout, I have some business to attend to.” Froststar got to his paws and offered the Warrior a kind smile before making his way over towards Shadeflower and Shallowstare. “Greeting Shallowstare, I hope you’re finding yourself well this afternoon.” The large black tom started, offering a wave of his tail in greeting to the other tom. “Shadeflower, I was wondering where you were. I see, however, that you’ve stayed safe.” Froststar continued, turning to look at Shadeflower. She looked visible annoyed, possibly by the conversation Froststar had just interrupted. He could smell the scent of another cat on her as well, someone he didn’t recognize. They would talk about that in private. “Sorry to interrupt, but I’ll have to steal Shadeflower away for a moment.”

Lizardflick | Fernclan Camp | Open

Her gaze drifted across the bustling camp, her head raised groggily above the rounded edge of the entrance of the elder's den. Sunlight filtered through in small streams past the floral cover of leaves above, the scent of dew and the soft creaking of branches against the whistling wind assaulted her senses. She gave a low hiss, a tired grunt slipping from her parted maw and the quiet sound of her joints clicking as she clambered from the hollow of a wide, twisted redwood tree.

She must've slept in late, she thought. The chirping of birds, the quiet conversations of the clan and the sun already at its high was proof enough of that. Lizardflick didn't exactly mind, she wouldn't forbid herself from an extra hour or two of peaceful slumber— her achy joints would thank her if they could.

Lizardflick arched her back in a low stretch as she made her way closer towards the clearing of the camp, paws thumping softly as she bounded down the hardened ground and stones beneath her pads, finding a nice and shaded spot off to the side to splay herself widely across. She made only brief, mental notes of the felines still in camp— silently praying that they'd all keep to themselves and she'd be left alone in her peace!

Shadeflower |Fernclan camp| Shallowstare, Froststar

Her ears fell back feeling like now she was for sure in trouble. Her eyes still glared over at Shallowstare as the tom left.Her tail lashed as she looked to Froststar." Yes Froststar what is it?" she asked tilting her head. She really thought she was in big trouble, how was she going to explain this to Froststar. She would have to try and lie her way through this as well.

Froststar tilted his head slightly as he noticed Shadeflower’s ears fall back. “It may be best to head into your den. Shall we?” The tom asked, motioning towards the Medicine Cat den. He glanced at Shallowstare once again, “thank you Shallowstare.” The black cat turned back to Shadeflower, offering her a small smile. He wasn’t mad, he was simply concerned.

The she cat nodded heading to her den, her eyes landed on Shallowstare as they went that way. Boy was she irritated, but it was fine she was sure, so long as Shallowstare didn’t go blabbing about anything she would have nothing to worry about. Besides no one around her knew that she had actually been chatting with the rouge.
