I’m incredibly intrigued. It boosts rosettes if they fit a criteria? Do we know how much it will cost? If anyone has any theories or wants to discuss it I am hyped! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Im excited for it too, but the "meets the criteria" parts makes me nervous. How will that be handled? Do we just, randomly use the item hoping the lions meet the criteria? We dont know what that criteria is. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I dont know. Would be nice if they made the criteria public. But they can also include a way to check for it, like, in Scrying Stone - there can be a small "This breeding MEETS the criteria for random rosette to appear!" when checking a breeding? But there has to be some way to solve this issue - because just randomly using items and wasting them if we didnt guess the criteria just doesnt sound right 1 player likes this post! Like? |

They've always liked keeping it secret so I don't know - they may give us hints though? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ooh yeah, the scrying stone idea sounds neat. I hope this might mean that march currency is worth grinding for. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I feel it'd do the opposite - it could make it worth it to try breeding rosettes. A chance of getting random rosette on a specific cub is nice. Currently, most random 1st gen rosettes appear on potato cubs - well no wonder nobody wants them, if the best thing this cub has is a single rosette. If they're used on more special breedings, the chance it will land on actually GOOD cub will be greater. 3 players like this post! Like? Edited on 01/03/24 @ 07:05:00 by Mad Hyena (#29080) |

it'd make them more common though, which I think could make them worth less. More people wanting to breed them isn't always great because they could become overbred and become less valuable. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rosette cannot become overbred in general, because they only pass to maybe 1 cub in a lioness lifetime. The very reason why they're so cheap is because studs mass-breeding them to basic females and producing simple, potato cubs that only have 1 rosette of a special trait and nothing else good about them. And leopard tails would be used on mainly "good" litters so, contrary to random rosette usually appearing on potato cubs, they could have a chance of getting more rosettes on better cubs, cubs with more special traits passed on them, muties, etc I doubt anyone will use leopard tails on a basic rolled king x normal NCL breedings. They'd be mainly used on Good breedings - with special eyes, skins, manes, with tier 2 marks and special bases chance. To give a chance an actually special cub gets random rosette rolled for once, not some random potato. I doubt that will devalue basic rosette cubs - but it will add better cubs some more value. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 01/03/24 @ 07:01:05 by Mad Hyena (#29080) |

The original suggestion was for random rosettes, so I anticipate that to be the case here too. I don't think basic rosettes can get any worse, honestly. I already see them for fodder prices. Sometimes I see fodder being sold for more than rosettes lmao. I'm interested in what new projects we'll see. Getting a rosette on a special base can be an investment and a half (2+ year RMA project here) so I'm wondering what new combos we can get from this. 5 players like this post! Like? |

I agree with leon - current single-rosette potato cubs are already worth fodder prices, and they wont get any rarer. Just a rosette and nothing else good on the cub is bound to cost low. But Leopard Tail will be aimed at producing different kind of cubs, cubs from better breedings that have a chance to be higher quality than fodder. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'll personally be stocking up on a few to attempt some unique ukame rosettes <3 I'm excited about all the new items and features they've been adding. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Me too! It will be very worth it to add a chance of rosette when doing a many-items breeding trying for a special base. 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 01/03/24 @ 07:25:45 by Mad Hyena (#29080) |

I supported the original suggestion when it came around! It definitely seems to me like a fun item you tack on for shits and giggles. I understand the fears for sure, but I think it's kinda like the more expensive items wherein people aren't gonna be able/willing to spam them on low-stakes breedings... at least assuming Lioden sets the shop price high enough lol. 1 player likes this post!
