I’m incredibly intrigued. It boosts rosettes if they fit a criteria? Do we know how much it will cost? If anyone has any theories or wants to discuss it I am hyped!

To be honest, even cheap items arent worth spamming on low-stakes breedings - like, Ochre Powder is rather cheap, BUT its still not worth using on an NCL to get her more likely to pass 1 marking, better save it for your special female's next heat instead.

I hope the criteria won't just be "the parents cant have rosettes" or something

You can see some threads people have made trying to figure out what can cause a random rosette to spawn. I think I've mostly seen the consensus that certain marking shapes may have something to do with it. There is probably SOMETHING, it's mentioned on the wiki. Of course no specifics.

I remember when bushveld rosettes were released, people were all stirred up over them. I feeeeel like it was found green bases helped, but don't take my word on that because I wasn't part of the craze lol. Not a bushie fan.

I hope they will give us a way to check if our pairing is rosette-criteria matching, perhaps in Scrying Stone breeding try out stuff. It'd fit well there, and not disclose the exact criteria, just stating if the breeding submitted meets or not meets it.

I'm guessing they don't mean they're adding in new criteria specifically for this item. I think it's just the already-existing random rosette criteria and it just ups the odds of the rosette appearing if those criteria are met. People have spent thousands of SB on scrying possible factors for rosettes already; I don't think there really *needs* to be a notification about whether a pairing meets the criteria or not, based on how much evidence and speculation there already is. I wouldn't use it on most breedings with my king, for example, because his appearance doesn't match with what people have found tends to produce more random rosettes.
