As Tier 3 of the Black Market is close to unlocking, we are releasing clarification on the mechanics of the Leopard Tail item as promised!   * Each use of a Leopard Tail in one breeding will add a 5% chance to a rosette rolling if the normal criteria for rosettes are met (any breeding can be eligible for a spontaneous rosette, but certain rosette types have certain specific criteria) * Leopard Tails can be applied to both parents and the effects will stack, so there will be a 10% boosted chance in the next breeding if applied to both parents * The boosted chance applies to all types of rosettes * The chance rolls for each cub in the litter * Leopard Tail is compatible with Ochre Powder and the items can be used together in one breeding, but Ochre Powder will not affect the chance of a rosette showing in itself * The item does not increase the pass rate of the parents' existing rosettes  331 players like this post! Everyone complains because Developers are never really clear on what they talk about on a news post. Personally, I'm not going to invest in an item that I don't even know the criteria for, it's pointless. A lot of vet. players are exhausted of the Admin's lack of communication, it's happened in multiple situations. Stemny just reading through, your argument just feels extremely redundant and repetitive. I feel like they have brought up many points that you just seem to gaze past because you're so insistent on being argumentative about it. I agree negativity on the news posts is entirely too common. However, to say that this is a disappointment to most people that have tried and failed to learn the "mystery rosette passing" is an understatement, not to mention the fact that it's been previously stated differently. Now it's just "here's an item that is entirely useless unless you spend hundreds of hours, breedings, and probably GB to find out the pattern, good luck!" I don't think the devs intended this to be such a fiesta, but I feel like the backlash is relatively understandable in this instance. 21 players like this post! Like? |

See the "certain types of rosettes" is only mentioned here and not on the wiki. On the wiki it implies that all rosettes can be bred from the same criteria - but here it says any breeding can make a rosette but only SOME have a special criteria. Which is where I am genuinely confused. 🤷♀️ 12 players like this post! Like? |

The only reason there's negativity in this news post is because many long-time players of the game are upset because this wouldn't be the first time the lioden developers say they're going to do something and they don't. (or they do something, the community comments about it, and they ignore it) Want examples? Witch base (my favorite base, mind you), released with several flaws and clearly rushed. Community was mostly ignored and was only fixed bc most of the community was upset over it. Spirited pose. Need I say more? 2016 was when it was started, it's 2024 (8 whole years) and yet we still don't have i and have been given very vague information about when it'd be dropped (and usually the "update" is that its being pushed back) THIS ITEM is the WORST example of them all! When Orche Powder dropped, Abbey was in main chat explaining how it was used. And guess what? people calmed down about it! Yeah people got upset but that'll happen every time something new releases. You know what'll make even MORE people mad? not explaining at all! I just want the lioden devs to *care*. They clearly don't anymore between the influx of underaged users and the increasingly worse updates. Which genuinely makes me sad because I love this game, and I want to love it for many more years! Why are people disappointed this doesn't increase the chance of existing rosette? That would break the market so quickly (arguably more so than is already is), the chance of random rosettes is much better. It also says certain rosettes, not all, it's still going to work even if you don't know those specific criteria for those specific rosettes. We don't even know /what/ rosettes have special criteria to pass (going off random rosettes), it can't be MR because you can't get that randomly. Editing to say I understand being irritated if you were expecting it to increase existing rosette odds, but I feel it would have been too broken if it did that. We already have items that can pass rosette (crunchys, gnawrock), I don't think we need another to help pass pre-existing ones. 3 players like this post!
