As Tier 3 of the Black Market is close to unlocking, we are releasing clarification on the mechanics of the Leopard Tail item as promised!   * Each use of a Leopard Tail in one breeding will add a 5% chance to a rosette rolling if the normal criteria for rosettes are met (any breeding can be eligible for a spontaneous rosette, but certain rosette types have certain specific criteria) * Leopard Tails can be applied to both parents and the effects will stack, so there will be a 10% boosted chance in the next breeding if applied to both parents * The boosted chance applies to all types of rosettes * The chance rolls for each cub in the litter * Leopard Tail is compatible with Ochre Powder and the items can be used together in one breeding, but Ochre Powder will not affect the chance of a rosette showing in itself * The item does not increase the pass rate of the parents' existing rosettes  331 players like this post! Okay but you missed the point real bad there, bud. Lioden is still a company, and it still needs to answer to their customers when they have genuine questions about the product they're being provided - because Lioden is a product that provides PAID services, just the same as Netflix or AppleTV; just because they aren't a physical product doesn't mean it isn't still being provided. 15 players like this post! @espenfalls I like the idea of them making a contest out of it. This has kind of derailed, I'm not even disagreeing with the whole "tell us the code" thing. I just made a comment that one of my kings was obviously a factor for a rosette and it's turned into this. I have no strong opinion either way about them releasing the Rosette code (though people worried about the market for rosettes would be highly disappointed by the code being released). I'm just saying like, chill with the negativity in every single news post, I don't even work for Lioden and I can feel the general "can't do anything right in the players eyes" vibe 0 players like this post! You're reaching Stemny? No one is saying Amazon is equal to Lioden in terms of offering the same service. However both places are in fact a BUSINESS that handles transactions involving REAL MONEY. A BUSINESS shouldn't hide things from the people who buy from them, otherwise you're a shady company. You wouldn't buy a car battery off of Ali Express. Why? You can't be sure the item is what you're actually getting. Same argument can be made here. Why can't they explain it? Sounds like they aren't fully disclosing the function of an item some people might pay GB to purchase, GB that costs real money. 10 players like this post! Like? |

Very interesting! This item feels like it will be a huge source of clues for the hidden rosette criteria. I plan to get a bunch and try them with the parents of all of my "spontaneous" rosettes. If I'm understanding the description correctly, some of these rosettes are probably random, and some are because the parents meet secret criteria. If I can use Leopard Tails to isolate which parents meet criteria, and other players are able to do the same, I feel like we'll be able to gather lots of great data and eventually figure out the puzzle! Stenmy, respectfully, what are you going on about lmao. It doesn't make sense to release an item that only works if certain criteria is met if no one knows what the criteria is the start with. I also reiterate that the devs have got two current explanations on the criteria. Here it says any breeding can make them, but the wiki says there is a special criteria, hence why I asked for clarification. 4 players like this post! Like? |

I interpreted "certain types of rosettes" as there being normal "spontaneous" rosettes (gold, ginger, ect.) vs more specialized rosettes (heavy, soft, inverted) and that THESE "special" rosettes have special critera. Not that it matters, again, we don't know what the criteria is. Spontaneous and "Certain Criteria" rosettes are functionally indistinguishable as far as when and why they occur, again calling into question the point of the item's existence. 16 players like this post!
