-LOCKED - Leopard Tail Clarification | |
Posted on 2024-03-12 16:04:37
As Tier 3 of the Black Market is close to unlocking, we are releasing clarification on the mechanics of the Leopard Tail item as promised! * Each use of a Leopard Tail in one breeding will add a 5% chance to a rosette rolling if the normal criteria for rosettes are met (any breeding can be eligible for a spontaneous rosette, but certain rosette types have certain specific criteria) * Leopard Tails can be applied to both parents and the effects will stack, so there will be a 10% boosted chance in the next breeding if applied to both parents * The boosted chance applies to all types of rosettes * The chance rolls for each cub in the litter * Leopard Tail is compatible with Ochre Powder and the items can be used together in one breeding, but Ochre Powder will not affect the chance of a rosette showing in itself * The item does not increase the pass rate of the parents' existing rosettes 331 players like this post! @Stemny "I could see this being useful for people whose lions have already thrown rosette cubs. That way they know which parents are capable of producing rosettes." This doesn't mean anything. ANY breeding can throw a rosette; ALL parents are capable of producing them so this item cannot sus out who can from who can't lol 4 players like this post! Like? |

@Warrior βοΈ (#130610) if it increased existing rosette chances it would kill the rosette market and desire very quickly. 5-10% chance for a whole new rosette to pop up seems a lot less broken. ------------------ "but certain rosette types have certain specific criteria" I assume this is just the pon's mottled rosette? or is there more? 0 players like this post! If that's the case, then why is anyone worried about mechanics? There are certain rosettes that are produced when certain requirements are met. I had a king in the past who passed rosettes fairly often, so he obviously held one of these requirements. This is what I'm talking about. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I donβt see the point of the item if we donβt even know how to get rosettes on breeding 11 players like this post! Like? |

I just don't want to waste money on an item that could, theoretically, have a 0% success rate and I don't even know that prior to using them. 14 players like this post! Like? |

MorningStar -G1Plumage 'stella (#25115) I understand where you are coming from, but currently the market for rosettes is extremely screwed. It'll never be what it once was. I've seen and sold rosette cubs for fodder prices. Triple rosettes are worth 25gb if that these days, they used to be worth 150+. Nothing will bring back the old system, not right now, and I doubt they will ever reach the values they used too. As someone who has spent three years on a project with a rosette, I was anticipating the release of this item greatly. I do see everyone's perspectives here, mine is just from a place of disappointment. 2 players like this post! Like? |

Ohh I wasn't expecting it not to increase passing rate, I'm definitely buying some of these when T3 opens 0 players like this post! Like? |

Okay but, which is it Devs? "Rosettes seem to be the most popular marking on Lioden currently, due to the mysterious nature of how they're passed on, and the fact that they appear to randomly pop up in any breeding; however, they are confirmed to have special breeding criteria. What that criteria is, exactly, is up to the players to figure out!" - Rosette Wiki last updated Sept 2023 "Any breeding can be eligible for a spontaneous rosette." - This Newspost. You cant have it both ways? 29 players like this post! Like? Edited on 12/03/24 @ 17:11:29 by Fraekinn (#57572) |
