Come on now, devs, this is getting a bit silly. Lioden has been running for 11 years (happy anniversary i guess?) I can understand guarding the "secret rosette formula!" when the game was first starting out because they were valuable. Now, rosettes can be bought routinely for under 100sb. No one really cares about them anymore, and now you've released an item (Leopards Tail) that increases the chance of these "random rosettes" without actually telling us the criteria required to make use of the item? For all we know this could just be a event currency sink with no actual results. π€·ββοΈ Tell us how to make the rosettes so we can actually make use of this item, as per the "full mechanics" explanation that was promised. People I know are already discussing boycotting buying GB and some are even at their wits end with the state of the market and it feels more and more like we are ignored. |

Except, fun little fact here - the UKs gambling commission is pushing for games (including browser ones) to expose odds on everything that could be considered a "gamble" after a study showed how loot boxes and other things like it (rng based dopamine, basically) negatively affected the growing brains of people (since Lioden is 16+, but our brains don't finish developing until we're 25) - this would include a lot of what Lioden offers. So imo its only a matter of time. 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 13/03/24 @ 07:32:47 by Fraekinn (#57572) |

Tbh I hope that doesn't happen. I find the game far more fun when statistics are kept secret. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Unfortunately it was investigated by the UK's government, and since Lioden is UK based they would be liable to any laws added about it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@kurloz they would legally have to reveal also, you said they have a chance to roll before the markings? where did you get this information 0 players like this post! Like? |

Was shared awhile back. Plus rosettes have shown up in places where there should be other marks from both parents - they couldn't do that if they rolled last. Especially not when those marks are ochred in. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Actually - while a 'gamble', no real currency is technically at stake. Law may not affect em. But I guess we'll see. I don't make the laws, after all. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kurloz is correct about spawned rosettes overriding regular markings - happened to a friend of mine when he gnawed a rosette and a new one spawned on top of it. It includes virtual currency that can be bought with real money - think like V-bucks for Fortnite which is spent on loot boxes. I mention Fortnite as that is one of the reasons the study was done in the first place. I went through all 30+ pages of the study. 1 player likes this post! Like? That's interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if they were thinking Bitcoin or what ever, but it is fascinating that they'd focus on stuff like v-bucks, robux, etc. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Its because a lot of those games target children and can cause/lead to addictive personalities which includes encouraging gambling down the road, unfortunately. We all know what its like to IBF a litter to chase the "high" of getting a successful one, now again - Lioden is 16+ - but Fortnite is played by kids, so is Robux etc. I remember when Roblox came out my younger brother was obsessed and would routinely badger my parents for Robux. 0 players like this post! I feel like revealing percentages really isn't the way to fix that ngl. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Its designed to reduce the risk vs reward and allow people to make informed choices, at least that was my understanding. If parents could see the odds on those games, perhaps they would be able to encourage their children not to. 0 players like this post! Like? |

how so? it would mean you know what you're getting into and are less likely to do it over and over again because you think the chance of success is higher then it is it wouldn't help fully, but it would be better a similar situation happened with RMAs, that's why it now shows the exact percentage 1 player likes this post! In all honesty, I feel like it would make things worse. 'Oh, 20% chance? I'm going to keep trying it over and over. That's a 1 in 5 shot!' Just knowing it as 'rather minimal chance' seems far more likely to curb that behavior. 0 players like this post! Like? |
