It had been a rather long day for everyone. Rosa was on call for the hospital so she was sleeping until then, Marcus had been working on his photography and cross-stitch, and the twins were doing their own things. The house was quiet for the most part since Marcus had left to go picked up Lukuro.

Ling had just gotten back from the ranch, having been working on her school work there and checking up on her favourite bull. Nightwalker was her favourite of the bulls, he was large and fast, and was a rather sweet bovine. He was a Longhorn-Brahman with a white and speckled black coat pattern. he was a sweet boy and he adored his handler. Ling knew though that he was getting older and had to retire soon, and she was hoping to be able to talk to his owner about buying him after he did so.

Of course, Ling wasn't expecting to get a call from Lukuro. He had been at a farmer's market selling plants he grew. He had just been picked up and was done the street when the two noticed that one of the heifers had gotten out, the bright yellow and orange tag on her ear was the dead give away. She had somehow gotten herself into the neighbours fence and she would only listen to Ling

just then a girl on a piebald shire horse sped by, she was riding bareback which was pretty uncommon around these parts. she was chasing a cow who had gotten out when her brother Alexander left the fence open.

the countryside was beautiful but not easy terrain to ride on but the girl seemed like a professional at it dodging all the obstacles that came her way. eventually, she unhooked her lasso and twirled it around before launching it hooking it around the cow's horn. the cow was a female ankole watusi.

the day at the farm was going pretty smooth until the cow got out, but now she had caught the cow the day could go back to normal. "finally" she said under her breath "I can relax and go back to training" she said

Marcus stayed in the truck while Lukuro got out. He was a bit hesitant to go up to the door of the farmhouse. He always hated going up to a stranger's house and he didn't know if he looked innocent to not be seen as some sort of troublemaker. "What do I even say? Hey, our cow is in your yard?" Lukuro muttered to himself and clenched his jaw. "What if no one's here? What if I look like a robber?"

Ling sighed and laughed lightly to herself when she realised which of their cattle had gotten out. Snow was a Jersey and White Park cross, a gorgeous gal who was still rather young and who still wasn't used to certain noises. Her only guess was that a car backfired and spooked Snow. Ling grabbed a container of pellets and began to make her way out of the fence and down the road. It would only take her 5 minutes to walk thankfully

alexander opened the door, he was young tall and...shirtless. noticing the guy he scrambled to put a shirt on throwing on a black wife beater, "so sorry bout that!, how may I help you?" he looked at the guy and then the truck "are you our neighbors? you look familiar" he said

velvet then climbed onto the cow and rode it back down to the farm her shire following her closely. she didn't want to be late for dinner.

Lukuro's eyes widened in surprise when the much taller male had opened the door shirtless. Perhaps country folk normally opened doors half nude, or maybe he had been expecting someone else. He hadnt even knocked on the door so it was rather plausible that he was waiting by the door. "Oh, um..." Luk glanced Iver at the truck and back at their neighbour. "Oh, yeah we are actually... but yeah, we kinda have a small issue... one of our cow somehow got out and is currently... in your yard." He rubbed the back of his neck and looked away

Finally Ling arrived to the truck and leaned against it, looking over at Snow. "We need to get that fence fixed up, she knocked down one of the fence rails when she jumped over it I guess. But Blackberry and Zombie are still okay." Marcus nodded.
"Yeahn we need to get it done tomorrow. We can put them in the horse pasture for the night." He smiled softly though. "At least this gets us talking to the neighbours, right? "

alex laughed "i was wondering where she came from!" he said "the pups love'er!" he said walking out and closing the door as he noticed Velvet riding on her cow "ay! vel! Take these nice people to get their cow!" he yelled to his sister who was tending to her cow. she didn't say nothing just stared and Alex nodded tipping his hat. which he put on due to the heat. "follow'er she'll take you to the pasture," he said

velvet was tending to the cow's sprained hoof when her brother made the request of her, she nodded and opened the gate so the cow and her horse could get through she then put her hair in a ponytail and began walking through the hay.

Lukuro relaxed, grateful that this guy wasn't mad or anything. "Thank you, I know it's a bit of an inconvenience, but I guess one of yours had gotten out too?" He asked and gave Ling a thumbs up. She was the cow tender afterall, she knew how cattle were. "So ah, my names Lukuro, that's my sister Ling, and our... dad Marcus." He was still awkward about calling someone his dad.

Ling stopped leaning against the truck and began to make her way over to who she assumed was Vel. "Hey there, sorry about Snow, she tends to get a bit spooked every now and then." She smiled softly at Velvet before noticing her cow. "Oh dear, is your girl okay?"

velvet nodded and petted her cow which she had wrapped her hoof "shes fine" she said "got out, got injured, that's how things are, she'll heal though, yup" she said as the cow walked along into the pasture she walked over to a cow which over twenty dogs were playing with "this one snow, the pups love 'er" she said

alex offered his hand "nice to meet you lukuro!" he said smiling "I'm alexander lionheart! and that over there is my sister velvet mondragon! shes a famous horse trainer, which I find funny cause she rarely ever talk, less she need too that is!" he said laughing "well neighbor yall just move here?"
