"She's a pretty gal, I'm glad you're taking care of her well." Ling smiled and followed Velvet, laughing when she saw Smow and the dogs together. "Yewh she does, she sometimes acts like a dog herself. We have four of them ourselves and she's always playing with em." She unscrewed the lid to the container she had and pulled out two of the pellets. Her voice and the sound of the container had gotten the heifers attention. Snow let out her casual moo and began to carefully walk closer. "Good girl," Ling fed her the pellets and moved her hand across the dewlap, a part she knew Snow loved when scratched. "I hope she didn't do any damage though, if she did, let me know and I'll get it fixed up."

"Mondragon? Oh, I think I've heard of her actually." He glanced over at the two girls and then back at Alex. "And heh, yeah. We just moved in about a month ago and we're still getting everything situated. We only have half of our electric wiring up so I'm guessing that's what we'll be focusing on later tonight and tomorrow." He smiled softly, relaxing more around the other. He was so used to the city that he had grown used to neighbours who hated visitors, some even flashing their weapons at strangers at the door. It was already immensely different out in the country

alex smiled when he mentioned electrical wires "well if you need help me and vel will be more than happy to help you with the wires! did this entire place all by ourselves after all" he said rubbing the back of his neck and laughing "hey would you all like to come over for dinner? we could have a get to know each other kinda thing" he suggested wanting to know more about the city and the people who came from it.

vel shook her head "no need" she said motioning to the fence she had already repaired "I fixed it" she said nodding before hearing her brothers suggestion and grimacing at the thought of more people in the house, two was enough for her, her and her brother was enough for her and she didn't want that to change, but she would be happy to cook for all of them

"Hey, don't get making any dinner plans without everyone!" Ling called over to them with a small laugh. "We still have to wait on Mom to get back and we have animals to take care of too." She then shook her head and looked at Velvet. "Luk and Dad don't like making last minutes plans anyway, so don't worry about having to cook for more company than you need to." She smiled softly, hoping to help Velvet relax.

Lukuro winced a little when Ling spoke up. "Yeah... sorry about that. I also wouldn't want to make it a hassle with cooking yknow? Unless of course you'd be fine with having help with the food? I don't know, but hey, maybe this weekend or sometime?" He rubbed the back of his neck in slight embarrassment. He hated declining requests and the thought of being in a stranger's house was anxiety inducing. "We could do like a cookout or... something like that. I'll talk to... our parents and see what they say. Is that alright?" Oh great gods, he felt like wanting to just shrink.

velvet only stared at her and nodded before climbing back onto her horse and continuing to look at the girl as if to ask her 'why are you still here?' before riding away on her horse, it wasn't that she didn't like ling. she was just very socially awkward and didn't like talking.

alexander sighed "Ahh very well" he said nodding "we can definitely host a barbeque! how about Saturday?" he asked smiling really wanting to get to know the neighbors

Ling couldn't help but let her eyes follow Velvet. She was rather attractive honestly. Shaking her head to get back into thought, she smiled at Snow. "Come on now, we need to get you back home. Your boyfriend is gonna be worried." She shook the container and lead Snow out of the fence, trying to keep the dogs inside. Once Snow was out, she looked over at Lukuro and Alex, listening, and then lead the cow to the truck. "Hey Dad, the guy wants to have dinner sometime. Sounds like maybe Saturday." Marcus hummed and chuckled.
"Sounds fun. Rose will be off this weekend afterall, you know how much she loves a good meet up."

alexander pet his dog on the front porch and waited for lukuro to come back "well what will it be?" he asked smiling truly wanting to have the meet seeing velvet ride over to him "hey sis, will you be fine with Saturday" velvet sighed and nodded. alexander practically beamed with pride "YES!" he yelled happily

velvet looked at ling, "maybe things won't be that bad" she said shrugging before her brother embraced her taking her of of the horses back which made the shire stress a bit stamping his hooves and making distressed neighs and whinnys

Lukuro nodded and walked over to the truck as well. As they spoke, Ling moved to set the tailgate down so she could sit on it while feeding Snow some pellets.

Soon they had found an agreement and Lukuro walked back up to the porch. "Hey, so they say that a Saturday barbaque works but as our apology for letting Snow get out, what if we invite you over to our place? That way you two won't be stressed about having to clean up or have strangers in your yard or anything like that. But uh, are you allergic to cats?"

alexander shook his head "no, im not actually i love cats, my mom use to have them all the time" he said ecstatically, the way he beamed "so ill give you my number if you want, then we can plan further and have a sort of potluck to where we each can bring something if you want" he said smiling "Velvet makes amazing food!" he said smiling "I'm glad you agreed to it, I'm so happy" he said

velvet then rode around on her horse, jumping over the fence into the barn and grabbing some treats for the shire

"Sweet, we have a couple of them and dogs too. We kinda... we kinda like animals here." He chuckled. "And that works." He pulled his phone out from his pocket and opened it to the contacts. There were barely any people in his contacts except for family, a coworker, boss, and a classmate from the college. "Do you need to type it in or are you fine with just telling me the numbers?"

Ling smiled as she watched Velvet ride around. She seemed to be introverted but she hoped that they could get along more. Perhaps even have girls night here and there, although she wasn't sure how Velvet would react to learning that she was trans. Ling hoped it wouldn't be a damper on their yet to form friendship

alex typed his number in before hearing glass shatter in his house "Oh no not again" he said walking into his house leaving the door open stooping down to pick up a flower pot that shattered and a bear was sitting there "apollo no more breaking glass!" he said picking up the shards as one cut his hand, he winced in pain but continued picking the shards up piece by piece even running his hands through the carpet to make sure he got every tiny piece.

velvet continued to jump her horse, she seemed very good at it, she didn't care about meeting people, or making friends, but she was a bit excited for the potluck even if she was going to be bringing her emotional support bear.

Lukuro stayed on the porch, unable to keep himself from snorting as he heard the yelling. "I dont know what Apollo is, but they sound like an Apollo all right." He of course didn't want to be nosy so he didn't stick his head in through the door

Lukuro jumped slightly when he saw the bear emerge from the door. He was at least expecting Apollo to be a cat or another dog, but instead it was a literal bear. "Oh geez- I was not expecting that. No offense, but is that a normal country folk thing to do or have?" He watched the bear before looking up at Alex. "Ah, uh, thanks. Would you prefer a group chat?"

alex shook his head "not normal at all, but vel fought with the mayor to get apollo approved as her service animal threatening to cannibalize his family was...extreme but she got what she wanted in the end" he said "And no, only use vels number in emergencies, she hates being called so text her, she wont respond unless she wants too which is practically never" he said rubbing the back of his neck.
