What gameplay feature is this bug affecting?

What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible.
Last year, on June 5th when the Shrine Passage and the side gods were introduced, a small, short storyline was introduced where you were introduced to the side god, did small essence collection quest and after returning next rollover you got to meet Thoth/Horus/Khnum in full flesh, resulting in opening of small side shop and access to new daily quest pool for main god.
However, this year the storyline did not trigger for me. Once I had the Shrine Passage rubble cleared I had full access to the shop with no sign of side god and to go with it I had access to the expanded daily quest pool from the moment my main god was awake, even before I had the rubble fully cleared. Baffled, I then assumed that the storyline would activate on the 5th, as wiki mentions, but even after 5th arrived there is nothing. No side story, no side god in sight and I'm allowed to rob Thoth's and Horus's shop while they lays in their coffin all wrapped up.

It is even more ironic since the event news were very excited that the art for the side story was enhanced and improved, yet it is nowhere to be seen. Missing intended event content is definately dampening my experience of the event personally.

Please provide us with step by step explanation how this bug happened so we can attempt to replicate it. If it's complex, please include screenshots where possible:
1. Clear rubble on Shrine Passage (no storyline trigger, just full access to the shop)
2. Have your main god awakened (still nothing)
3. Wait until 5th (still no storyline trigger)
