Joining! A cool fact about dogs is their eyes are ALL blue as puppies until a certain age, their melanin has to develop if it's going to! (it's extremely rare for a dog's eye's to stay blue, like even rarer than humans, and grey/green/hazel is even rarer) besides this though the eye color has no affect on the pups ability to see, once their eyes are open they have full sight! Random fact, did you know that the term "big cat" doesn't actually refer to a group of species of large cats, but rather animals of the panthera genus of the felidae family? Cats of the panthera family have a special bone that allows them to roar, with the one exception being snow leopards. This is why cougars are not considered big cats even though they typically grow larger than snow leopards, snow leopards have that specific bone and cougars do not.

Pandas are carnivorous, they have the full genetic makeup to be "proper" bears, but choose not to simply bc bamboo is easier.
This means they spend their day eating for hours and then sleeping. It's not damaging them at all which is fascinating

Paleontologists now believe that pychnofibres are feathers (Not like modern asymmetrical penachious feathers more like stage one and stage two dinofuzz) Which means that feathers are ancestral to Avemetatarsalia! (the group in achosauria that contains pterosaurs, dinosaurs, and their ancestors!)

Fun Fact Platypus glow with patterns and colours when put under UV light and this is the first and only example of bioluminescence in egg laying mammals/any mammals. It is also thought that platypus can see these colours on eachother too without UV light.

Fun Fact: Did you know that newborn foals are sometimes said to have "fairy slippers"? Don't look it up, though: They're like Grimm's Fairy Tales fairies, not Tooth Fairy fairies! They look like growths on the hoof, described as firm but squishy like boiled cabbage (by farmers, not me). They're not cabbage, though, but skin cells that develop in the womb to protect the mare from injury from the inside. The scientific name is "eponychium".

Fun fact: The loudest sound to exist was the Krakatoa Eruption,which could be hear around the Globe, several times. What is scary is that the Krakatoa Volcano is a baby supervolcano, at 10 Km in length, while Yellowstone is about 75km at its widest and could very easily cause a mass extinction event if it were to erupt.
