Hmm, he seems like a lion with a "sturdy" name if that makes sense; something plosive. The decor too implies grandeur. 1. 'Grimmig, Mortem Partum' where mortem = death (Latin), partum is just a play on "part [with]" to work with mortem. 'Grimmig' = grim (German), given the language of the reference. So it's roughly 'Grimmig, he who parts with death' in plain English. 2. 'Mortimer der Macabre' - literally 'Mortimer the Macabre'. Mortimer is an existing name, meaning "dead sea" in English stemming from the root word 'morti' = death (Latin). Had some fun with the alliteration here. 3. 'Vargtimmen' - hour of the wolf (Swedish folklore), equivalent to the witching hour where it was believed between 3am-dawn, guided by wolves, the most deaths/births would occur. Not strictly a title-like name but rolls off the tongue nicely! 4. 'Valdyn, Corrupt's End' - no real meaning here. 1 player likes this post! Like? |
