Fun fact about me is that one of my awards for saving someone's life (did CPR on them and they're back home now, completely like it didn't happen) was from saving someone's grandma on Christmas Day! The presents were just too much for them!

Random fact- Male lions will mostly eat first when the lionesses make a kill, but even tho the cubs are supposed to eat last as they are the weakest, the male will sometimes let the cubs dine with him if there is enough to eat and if he is in a good mood.

Did you know that cats were so sacred to the ancient Egyptians that bringing harm to a cat, intentional or not, could result in a death sentence? So when the Persians invaded Egypt, they tied live cats to their shields. The Egyptian soldiers wouldn’t fight or use their weapons for fear of hurting the cats, so the Persians were victorious.

Howdy! This is request number one (or I hope so anyways, my memory has been getting really bad lately T-T) and I would love gb!

Fun fact:

The story “Flowers for Algernon” is not based on a true story, nor is it even likely possible, but there IS a real life parallel to some of the story elements, that being the “sleepy sickness” or Encephalitis lethargica pandemic from around the 1920s. This sickness caused those who were infected to become catatonic and statue like, making them speechless and motionless. A “cure” by the name of L-DOPA was created to combat this, and just like in Flower for Algernon, the treatment would seem to work or a period of time before ultimately failing and leaving the patient the way they were before.

Similarly the same effect can be seen with certain cases of catatonia, in which medications will start to work for a certain period of time before failing altogether. This is rare however.
