in saudi arabia they held a beauty contest. during this beauty contest one participant was ejected due to botox, however surprise twist! the participants were all CAMELS! 12 entire contestants were caught cheating due to botox injections and were rightly disqualified. they held it again
recently due to the popularity, and again botox is against the rules

random fact - i have two
1 - butterflies “taste” with their feet by using chemoreceptors to help them identify plants!
2 - on the nuclear testing on bikini atoll island, they would name their ‘devices’ obscure names like runt, rubber ducky, alarm clock, etc. (just shows how pitting together a ton of smart people can, and probably will, make obscure things)

Spotted hyena social hierarchy is complicated and not just based in strength! There was a low ranking female hyena that rose up to matriarch through social connections and becoming close to higher ranking females. That hyenas name is Waffles!

Hii, I'm not expecting anything much I'd be happy getting just about anything but would love to share a fact or two about animals cause I love em.

Kangaroos can nurse more then one baby, meaning they can have a new Joey in the pouch and a almost independent one outside the pouch, and another cool fact this one's about cats, cats in particular can have more then one dad for their litter meaning most kittens are most likely half siblings.

since i want to be a beekeeper one day, i would like to share some things i know about bees! every day i will drop a silly little bee fact.

bee fact #3: if you've ever wondered how a bee stinger works, it's actually very interesting in itself! the stinger is barbed and is attached to a specific set of organs and muscles which include; the venom glands, venom sack, dufour's gland, and then the muscles that hold the stinger, venom bulb, and a pump valve. the stinger works as 3 parts - a stabilizing rod and 2 barbed lancets. the lancets slide against each other and they move back and forth, digging themselves deeper and deeper into skin.

bee stingers are very complicated little things and even when detached from the bee, the muscles can work sort of in a "zombie-like" way to keep the stinger moving deeper and injecting more and more venom :0

Elephants can detect sounds and vibrations through their feet and these seismic vibrations help them sense danger or communicate with other elephants from miles away.

They have specialized cells in their feet that help them sense the distant calls or approaching storms from a distance
