hi! this is request number 4! t would love GB! also; thanks for doing this! it's very generous of you and it's very cool. since i want to be a beekeeper one day, i would like to share some things i know about bees! every day i will drop a silly little bee fact. bee fact #1: during the warmer months, aka Prime Pollen Time, bees work very hard to collect pollen to bring back to the hive. however, due to all of their hard work, bees get very tired! bees are known to sleep on flowers to rejuvinate and rest before continuing their work! if you see bees on the pavement during spring and summer, particularly bumble bees, they could be tired and struggling to cool down. if you're able to, they'll let you pick them up (either with your hands if you're not afraid, or with a piece of paper or something). you can give them droplets of sugar water until they are strong enough to be able to fly :D you should always be careful about how much water you are putting down. "droplets" are very important, because if theres too much water, the bee can drown! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ah, well congratulations to the winners. I shall not leave any cliffhangers, so anyone interested here is the last of my facts for this thread. Fun space fact: Every satellite is built at least twice! The first one (The engineering model, among other names) is built for more rigorous testing. So it can be shaken, hit, thrown in the oven, and any other of the long list of tests satellites are put through at the upper limits to make sure that it can handle the exceedingly harsh space conditions. Once the engineering model is built and passess all the tests, the flight model is built identically. The flight model isn't tested nearly as hard so you don't break it before launch. Why go through all the effort of building two? Launches are expensive. And you can't service a satellite. And space is a very harsh environment. All these mean that overengineering your satellite in to absolute oblivion is key. Hope people enjoyed bugs and space info, and thanks again for the giveaway. All these facts have been fun! ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Another dino fact! Let's dive deep into the world of the mighty dinosaurs. One of the most intriguing dinosaurs is the Argentinosaurus, which is believed to be one of the largest land animals to have ever existed. This colossal herbivore roamed South America during the Late Cretaceous period, around 94 to 97 million years ago. Estimates suggest that it could reach lengths of up to 100 feet (30 meters) and weigh as much as 100 tons, which is about the weight of 15 African elephants! Argentinosaurus had a long neck that it used to reach high vegetation, and its massive size likely deterred most predators. However, it wasn't entirely safe from the likes of Giganotosaurus, one of the largest known terrestrial carnivores, which lived in the same region and time period. Despite its size, Argentinosaurus had to constantly consume vast amounts of plant material to sustain its enormous body, making it a slow but steady grazer. The discovery of Argentinosaurus fossils has provided paleontologists with valuable insights into the lives of these giant sauropods. The first fossils were found in Argentina in the early 1990s, and since then, scientists have been piecing together its skeletal structure to understand more about its biology and behavior. The sheer size of these creatures is a testament to the incredible diversity and adaptability of dinosaurs during their reign on Earth. Imagine standing next to an Argentinosaurus—its head towering above, its body stretching out like a living skyscraper. Truly, the age of dinosaurs was a time of giants! 🦕🌿 1 player likes this post!
