for my "fun fact" did you know that African buffalos heards have a similar behavior as "voting", they do this by standing up, looking a way and laying back down. This behavior is used for traveling and only adult females can vote

Fun fact: Though parrots seem to be able to dance to music, and vibe with it, they actually can’t decipher it at all. Parrot brains don’t have the functions that make humans able to put rhythms, beats, and all the music together to make one song in our heads. They just hear certain separate sounds, and can only decipher the beat.

my "fun" fact.. is that it is possible for people to be allergic to red meat! that's meat from cows, sheep, pigs, deer, goats, etc!
this can happen if a flea/tick bites one of these red meat animals, then bites a human! the red meat protein gets into the flea/tick's mouth, and then injected into the human when bitten. this can cause the immune system to react to the red meat protein along with the other substances in the flea/tick saliva, which results in developing an allergy to red meat protein! which.. yikes

did you know that there's a species of moth called the "Vampire Moth"(Calyptra thalictri) that drinks the blood of animals, including humans.Their bites are USUALLY harmless, but i think the idea of a blood-sucking moth is lowkey scary

Cursed fun fact: Cheetahs are actually very inbred which is making them harder to keep from going extinct. Before current times there was a near extinction event where the population dropped 10,000 years ago. So it's not uncommon to find cheetahs with kinked tails. They have low genetic diversity which makes them more easy to get sick. However since the similarity they can easily donate body parts between cheetahs in times of emergency

Fun fact: four-toes hedgehogs can scream. like, loud, very loud. they mostly do it when startled, but as i owned one i discovered that they, apparently, can do it just... for fun? they can also snort, which is the cutest thing ever
