Hi there. I've been on a number of sites that allow custom HTML in profiles, and a few of them have had the option to disable custom HTML, and keep a standard view while visiting other profiles. But apparently Lioden doesn't have this. I'm suggesting something like this be implemented if at all possible, because sometimes the heavily edited profiles are a bit problematic with loading times, difficulty navigating flashy gifs or eyesearing colors. It'd be an option on our own account not to view these edits, maybe? Just a thought. EDIT: This wouldn't be a site wide thing. It would be something individual users can decide for themselves so they aren't forced to look at, or load cumbersome layouts that they don't want to look at, or strain their computers with. This comes from personal experience with a connection that often loads less than 1mbps :/ I'm not entirely sure if it is the HTML or CSS or a mix of both that would need to be disabled for this to happen. Plaintext was also suggested, and I support that too. It would be great if a coder or admin could help with clarifying a bit. |

Oh gosh. Yes. This. Please. It is very annoying to go to some heavily edited profiles, especially when some screw up the layout of the link bar (and as a web designer, it's one of my biggest pet peeves to go to a page that looks almost nothing like the rest of the site). Being able to force everything to look the same on my end would be /wonderful/.  0 players like this post! Like? |

But what happens when you have the little side table that I have, the one with the red font? I believe disable all HTML makes the profile identical to a profile with no added HTML. I'd probably never use the feature because there are some custom things I want to see, like links to sales threads or what not, but gaaaaaawd I mash DELETE to go to the previous page when I see some if these custom HTML layouts. Sometimes I can't even read the chat, or the link bat at the top is just straight gone. Sorry, but I don't want to be stuck on your den page forever and have to use the back button just so I can back out and find my way to a different part of the site. Support. 0 players like this post! For the tables and the like, since this feature is optional I don't think it would matter if they vanished or not, because people with this feature on probably don't want to see them anyway. 0 players like this post! Like? |
