So, besides being the deciding factor on how much ''tail'' your lion gets with a high/low fertility lioness, its essentially...well...useless. I'm PRETTY sure this has been posted a few times, but I figured I'd come to you guys with my own ideas to see how you feel about it. Feel completely free to post your own ideas as well! #1. I've seen this said a billion times around lioden and between friends and I couldn't agree more. Fertility should affect CUB COUNT. A low fertility lioness should, ideally, only have one, MAYBE two cubs max if you're lucky. This will make mutations much more valuable and special in the game. (Once GMO cows thin out after Sept.) #2. This is my own idea, I think it's BRILLIANT and could bring in a lot of funds for Lioden development. Fertility affects STATS of cubs. Lets be straight forward. A mutated lion wouldn't have the advantages in the wild of a normal lion. SO, if it's born with poor stats, it would make sense, right? HIGH fertility lionesses give birth to the HIGHEST stat cubs in the game, so that there's even balance between the two. Anything in between is a middle factor. The higher, the better for stats. The lower, the better for mutations. People breeding for stats will spend the GB on getting their lionesses fertile for their cubs, and people who breed for looks and rarities will spend the gb to get their lionesses fertility as low as possible. WELL I thought it was pretty brilliant. >> #3. Inbreeding should have a HIGHER chance of lethal mutations. EDIT :: To go along with this, I think the "Mutation Cleanse" item should not be available for lethal mutations. That way, we don't have the community inbreeding constantly just to cleanse it away later. There should be consequences for inbreeding, just as there are in the wild after so much inbreeds happen. #4. Thought of this after I posted. This correlates with #2 in a manner of speaking. Some mutations wouldn't affect a lioness in the wild. Like being fuzzy, having no tail, ect. SO, why don't we spread mutations out through the fertility tree? The higher the fertility, the ''better'' of a natural mutation you'll get. This will make ALL lioness fertilities valuable if you want a certian mutation. FOR EXAMPLE. A normal fertility lioness would have a higher chance of producing a fluffy maned lioness. A high stat fertility lioness would have an increased chance of popping out a bobbed tail or fuzzy mane. A Very High might have a really high chance of popping out folded ears, ect! This will spread out mutations through the entire fertility tree and give mutations a challenge while putting value to each and every fertility rate. ^_^ I also had an idea that the lower the % of fertility, the higher chance for mortality types of mutations, but I'm not sure how that'd even out through the rest of the fertility tree. (Normal, high, very high, ect.) BUT let me know your thoughts, ideas, input, ect in the comments below. I'd love to hear your thoughts. :) THOUGHTS AND SUGGESTIONS __________________________________________________ Beeeanbag.:.call me Bean! (#38413) suggested - I support this, but also I would love if fertility could affect the traits that get passed over. I thought for the longest time it did, but it doesn't. And it would just feed into genetics, which would be great. Can I also suggest that low fertility has more of a chance of losing Cubs? If we are going with the whole idea Hermione Granger {HP fan} (#44748) suggested - Mutation Sickness. Perhaps the more mutated a lion, the more depressed it would be (lacking the ability to hunt, stalk, being picked on, ect) and it would need more attention, it its happiness might deplete more then your average lion. |

@spaz increasing difficulty is one thing, but having to buy certain items to play the game 'normally' seems a little much for me ![]() |

To go along with this, I think the "Mutation Cleanse" item should not be available for lethal mutations. That way, we don't have the community inbreeding constantly just to cleanse it away later. I'd like to point out that lethal mutations are the exact reason they made that item. I support all but #3, as it has been stated that they won't make inbreeding have any affects since it happens in the wild naturally. Even though I don't like inbreeding myself, many people do it. ![]() Edited on 22/09/14 by Blackthorn {LAWS, VV, MN} (#5838) |

Omg! I thought 1 - 3 were already in game! How little i know. Support! Amazing ideas. And i notice NCL's seem to have random fertility? What if the higher (or lower) fertility they have, the harder they are to impress? ![]() |

Yes, but wouldn't that affect the kings? Most people like their kings mutated AND high stat. ![]() |
