The actual RP The Sign Ups will reopen at around August 7th and close when it seems fit. The wolves most people think of when they hear the word "wolf" are timber wolves; Large, tough, and living in temperate forests and gorging on elk. But there exists a subspecies of timber wolf that doesn't live in the temperate forest, but the tropical variety. Short-furred and even more..."bipolar"...than their common counterparts, being very content or aggressive as it seems fit. Feeding on fish, and patrolling the territory daily, life is as good as it can be for most of these packs. The story begins when one of the lower ranked pack members of one such rainforest pack goes exploring down a newly discovered stream, and goes missing. The Alpha Male picks up on this, and, alone, follows his trail, only to share the same mysterious fate. The RP will start off immediately after the Alpha disappears, and pack members will grow curious. What happens next? Up to you! Rules: - Hunger, thirst, sleep and wounds all apply realistically, so keep that in mind when, say, someone gifts someone else a rabbit. - Hunting and fights are to be detailed and as fair as possible. Since its realistic, serious cuts and very successful hunts are incredibly uncommon, even for a skilled wolf. Survival is hard, so no "grabs neck and bites down" moments, for prey or enemies. Point is, no godmodding. -Literacy. I want full sentences that make sense and have grammar. I don't need a huge novel, but just enough details to make it clear who you are, where you are, and what your doing. This is to prevent huge confusion. - Romance is to be toned down. Packs typically only have one mated pair, and although other relationships aren't exactly uncommon, they aren't super prevalent. Having close, strong relationships without romance is possible too, guys. Plus, most members in wolf packs are related, so...Yeah. One big family! - Going back to realism, realistic wolves only. No wings, super huge fangs, powers of any sort, unrealistic coloring, ect. - If your going to kill or even heavily hurt someone else's character ASK THEM FIRST. If they're not okay with it, don't do it. - To prove you read this, put your favorite color(s) in the passcode part of the character sheet. - One to two characters per person, although I prefer just one character per person. Keeps things a bit more varied and focused, I feel. - This is NOT first come, first serve. I accept people who follow these rules in the character sheet, with literacy and realism. - On mature issues and human language; Keep human language tame, and no slang whatsoever ("Town" is fine, but "YOLO" is not.) Wolf speak is to be toned down a little as well. For sake of flow, we won't have special names for humans, although cars and houses are to be called "machines" and "buildings", and generalized like that. As for mature issues, tackle it if you wish. Gore is fairly unrealistic, so try to shy away from that, but religion, abuse, and other things are fairly game IF IT'S NECESSARY. Do NOT add religious commentary if it doesn't develop a character, their relationships, or past, and same with abuse. Don't add it just to be edgy or because you can. It must have purpose, as well as Gore. - Activity is required. Check back at least every 3 or 4 days, to keep updated. If you can't be active for a little bit, let us know so we don't get stuck in a situation where we all wait for an inactive person. Also, a note: Keep track of inactive characters. By that, I mean, cover for them and mention them, even if their player won't be on for a week. This does NOT mean control their character, this only means mentioning their whereabouts at some point. "Oh, Wolfen, where's Balto?" "Oh, I'm not sure, around here somewhere. Did you need something?" Or "I think he went that way, based off scent, but why do you need him, is something wrong?" I prefer this to simply letting characters drop off from existence when the player is busy with life. Because, when the player gets back on, chances are, they might feel lost and forgotten to find the plot rush on, and then the player just pops back from nowhere and feels out of place, and that's no fun. So basically, take care of each other with continuity? - In that same vein, arguments between characters are fine, but try to avoid catfights and drama among members. Characters Name: Gender, Rank and Age: Appearance: Personality: Skills and Weaknesses: Family*: Other: Passcode: * Since this IS the realistic approach, family should have importance, wether that family be another pack member, a pup that died young as most wolves do, or a sibling that left the pack at a young age as most wolves do. Just little details in all of these cases, but they do flesh out and reinforce the character. Alpha Female: Kairem, (Silver Ackerman) New Alpha Male: Brangwen (Ticklicious) Beta Female: Talia (Becca) New Beta Male: Taken (Prince) Delta's: Artemis (Calista the Onyx Wolf Queen) Carabi (Prince) May (Cynder) Cyanara (Valana) Omegas: Kita (Cynder) Somali (Bellevue) Full Pups: Kerchak (Becca) Alkmir (Silver Ackerman) (Reserved by Kanakei?) Open, about 1 slot People to join the RP (who have discussed joining but haven't yet): 2, Blaze and Kanakei A disclaimer: the ranks WILL change. If someone leaves the RP, we might recruit a new person and thus a new pup or something is born. The pack hierarchy is run by dominance rather than democracy or dynasty, so alphas will change as well. Pups will grow too. Also, we're trying to keep the pack gender balanced, although more females than males does work considering real life, where less males means less competition and possible cheating. But again, romance isn't to be a main theme, so it's gender balanced just because it's weird to have a pack of mostly female wolves. But basically, don't freak out about the inequality rank wise as well. If you want your character to have pups someday, it certainly will happen...someday. But plot takes priority. Although, wanting to be a mother is a pretty strong plot motivation so - well, just know the ranks aren't set in stone, and have fun with that in RP. 0 players like this post! Like? Bellevue (Mind if I call you Belle?), accepted! She sounds like a nice foil. I actually just revamped Kairem's character sheet, and I'll change it again to fit her :D Well, now we just need two or three males, and we're set! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Name: Kita Gender, Rank and Age: Female, Omega ---- 2 years,1 month and 6 days, 1 hour and 5 minutes. Appearance: A tan female with a white belly (marking goes to her neck) and socks. Her left paw has a longer sock than the rest of her paws. Being of very low husky decent, one eye is blue while the other is a normal golden. She's fairly large (not too much) and her fur is a bit think (not puff ball thick), however when wet, it is shows she's fairly slender. Her muzzle is long and slender like her frame. Her claws are a mix of black and clear (mostly clear-ish). Personality: She's shy and submissive but also protective. She'll do whats asked of her 99.9% of the time unless she's having a bad day. Skills and Weaknesses: + She's willing to do just about anything. + Her slight non-wolf heritage causes her size to be fairly decent. Next to a human, she would go up to their thigh. Can help with intimidation. + A caring female who would like to help everyone she can. - Husky heritage has made it so her fur is a bit longer, causing her to overheat quickly. - Blue eye is blind, causing her hunting skills to be below average. - Not being 100% wolf has caused her to feel very self conscious about being in the pack. - Being shy, she's not a great communicator. - Her semi-larger size causes her to not navigate so well through thick brush. Family: Mother was a husky-wolf mix and father was a captive wolf. The breeder wanted a legal wolf but there was too much wolf into the mix. She also has a sister by the name of May and another named Milla, however Milla went off on her own. May stayed with Kita. She had one bother whom died a few days after birth and one sister who was stillborn. Other: Being of too much wolf decent, it deemed her sisters and her illegal; causing the man whom breed their parents to abandon them to get rid of any evidence. The father was killed to cover up that he was a pet and the mother was kept as she didn't have enough wolf mixed into her to be illegal. It took a little while to integrate into the pack itself to insure survival. May stays with Kita to help make up for her sisters short-comings. Passcode: ~Rainbows~ I dunno.....I like a lot of colors xD Name: May Gender, Rank and Age: Female, 2 years ---- 2 years, 1 month, 6 days, 4 hours and 24 minutes. Appearance: A black and white female whom has taken a little more appearance from her mother; however she has her fathers sleek and slender frame and muzzle and his short fur as well as his shorter stature. Even though she is the oldest of her siblings, she can be mistaken for the runt. Her eyes are a very light yellow. Personality: A kind and caring female, she loves all and everything. While she may love just about everyone and everything, she will be the first to defend her sister and fight until her very last breath. She's just as loyal as her sister is to the pack as well as just as self conscious about her heritage. Skills and Weaknesses: + Not the best hunter in the wold, she does take pride in kills she's been able to bring back. Most of the kills are very small unless done with others; then very rarely will she bring home something two or more wolves can eat (thanks to the extra strength of more then one wolf). While she wishes she could take down something large by herself, it'll never happen. + Her determination and loyalty will drive her to be the best she can be and push her to try to be better. - With her sister unable to hunt all that well, she feels the need to hunt for her to help make up for the lack of her sisters contribution to the pack; causing added stress to her. - Her determination and want to prove her loyalty to the pack causes her to make rash decisions that can be harmful to her. - You can tell more that she's a hybrid of a sort more then her sister; making her wanting to hide half the time or feel as if she may bot be good enough. Family: Mother was a husky-wolf mix and father was a captive wolf. The breeder wanted a legal wolf but there was too much wolf into the mix. She also has a sister by the name of Kita and another named Milla, however Milla went off on her own. May stayed with Kita. She had one bother whom died a few days after birth and one sister who was stillborn. Other: Same as Kitas. She also hates to be touched on the paws. Passcode: ~Rainbows~ 0 players like this post! Cynder, accepted! Although, is May an Omega as well? Quick note to everyone: Me and Cynder already discussed her character's husky heritage. It's a one time thing and shouldn't be repeated. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 18/06/15 by SilverAM(It's raining today..) (#34397) |

aaand mg second character. He's not too interesting now, but I plan on developing him. :D Name: Alkmir Gender, Rank and Age: Male, pup, 9 months old Appearance: A blue-grey wolf with a silver muzzle, and pale ginger speckles across his lighter grey paws. Light brown eyes, and very scruffy, tough and thick fur, and also quite large and plumb for his age. He boasts golden ear-tips, a trait from his grandmother. Personality: A bit selfish and proud, Alkmir is still young and developing. He's active as one his age should be, but has gained a hearty respect for others, often waiting patiently as others talk and doing things obediently when asked, but on his own time, he explores and chews on everything. Skills and Weaknesses: + Young and adaptive + Small, ideal for the thick rainforest + Quick learner and stubborn, he can already hunt fish with assistance + Underestimated + Surprisingly thoughtful and perceptive, and has a good, noble heart - Small and fragile - Attached to useless items - Clumsy - Clueless when it comes to jokes - Immediately trusting of adults - Starting to take on his mother's "survival of the fittest" attitude. - Easy to kidnap - Overthinks things, conflicted a bit between his compassionate nature and his harsh moral code. Or more accurately, his mother's harsh moral code - Not very creative - Doesn't act without being told, including work like hunting and even playing. He prefers to laze in the sun and chew on things. Family*: Mother is Kairem, father is Kollokane, and this follows all that entails family wise. Other: He hates bears and loves salmon, although really loves flowers, to his mother's horror. Also, he loves parrot feathers and shiny rocks and scales. Passcode: that weird grey white color that's somehow related to gold Idk what it's called. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Cynder, actually, a nice little twist would be having May be a Delta and She only accepts the role because it gives her more power to protect her sister from typical omega bullying. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Name: Brangwen Gender, Rank and Age: Male, Alpha Male, Five Years Appearance: Brangwen is a large, thickly furred male with a black coat and copper eyes. His body is lean, but muscular and built for stamina over speed. He is overall six feet in length, three feet at the shoulder and weighs in at 158lbs approximately. He has a small nick in his right ear from a fight as well as a slight scar running over the bridge of his nose. (Gonna draw out a ref of him at some point) Personality: Brangwen overall is a rather stern male with a low tolerance for goofing off during times where one should be more serious. He will more than definitely reprimand one who is out of line when he has to. Brangwen also tends to be more aloof and assertive, yet generally will keep a calm demeanor and a reasonable mind before he will make a final judgement of anything. His senses always are keen on his surroundings and he rarely will drop his guard. Knowing full well his black fur can signal to other, more dangerous predators he often relies heavily on keeping watch even for the simplest of things. Yet in the end he does have his affectionate moments for the pack, all of whom he does hold a strong bond with. Albeit his often serious nature, even he has times where he will play like a frolicking pup, a way to keep the bonds between him and the pack members he exists with strong as ever. Brangwen has a taste more for other meats, only occasionally having actual fish like most of the pack would, instead falling to his urge to chase and hunt harder prey. During the warmer times of the day he generally will stay rather low key due to needing to keep himself cool. With his thicker than average fur and also black color, his risk of heat stroke is much higher than most others. He does have a love for swimming too, something he enjoys and at times will try and have the others do as well. Brangwen prefers to be in cooler areas, somewhere with shade, if he can be. Though when he has to be elsewhere for the pack or with them, he is there to lead them on. He does have strong leadership skills and often had been a consultant for the previous lead male during his time when he held Beta position. Since then his personality has molded into one that shows a strong affinity for order and peace within their own ranks, alongside a balanced mind and consideration of the others before himself. Skills and Weaknesses: Branwen was more built for his strength and stamina overall with more of a lack in speed which often means has a harder time keeping up with the pack during times where they do decide to actually hunt prey other than fish. He is overall rather large and his thicker fur, an atypical trait for most, causes him to get rather hot during the heat in the warmer climate he resides in, meaning often he will have to take a swim in the rivers or streams when he can in order to cool off. He is a skilled tracker though and once he has a trail he rarely can lose it. Brangwen's coat color is also something that is a burden to him, not only for soaking up more heat than normally, but also since it is like a major way to spot where he is to prey and enemy alike. Family: None Blood Related Trivia: ~Brangwen was previously a loner at two years after dispersing from a pack further away, having eventually ended up joining the current pack as a subordinate and having worked his way up. ~When Brangwen was younger his fur was actually a dark gray which eventually became black when he turned two. ~Even though he has adapted to life with the pack he still has a general distaste overall for fishing and prefers red meat. ~Brangwen's past is a mystery as he has yet to actually share any details of what his life was like before the current. Aside of the fact that his previous pack had been in several wars between other packs for territory. ~The nick in his ear is rumored to have been from a fight with a jungle cat, although that is more just silly rumors from pups who look up to him due to his large size and seemingly courageous demeanor. Though it is a possibility that has been considered among other rumors. ~Although he is serious, he does have a strong like of pups and is often very tolerant of them, generally letting them get away with more trouble until they get to a certain age where things become unacceptable. ~Brangwen often will tell of what he was like as a pup, turning out that before reaching the pack he had been very silly and playful. ~Surprisingly, the scar on the bridge of his nose was from when he accidentally tripped over a root and scratched his muzzle on a sharp rock during his first few weeks in the tropical area while he began to familiarize himself with the terrain. Tickilicious, I agree on those thoughts. A sort of wild card villain loner, although I'm not quite sure how we could go about that in a RP. Having a wild card like loners typically are is good to shake it up, but as a villain of sorts...hmm, actually could work. Although, for now, we actually have to start the RP XD You can totally have the Alpha Male rank for your good analysis/answer to the question. Question already for Brangwen: Was he the former Beta? I'm assuming so :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yup! But for now, I think we should show off this stable, strong pack before we smash it to pieces and then have a mysterious evil loner mess things up even further. Although, the breakdown begins pretty early with the very plot beginning with 2 missing pack members, The recently added loner, Joff, and the alpha male. But death ain't too new to wolves, as you can see with all Kairem's dead children and the fact that the Alpha Male, Kairem, and probably Brangwen are all that's left of the previous generation. It's more alarming that there's a threat. From there, I'm thinking of ideas, but general plan is for you guys to go about investigating, preparing, whatever in your own ways until more stuff happens. 0 players like this post! Like? |
