Only accepted characters may post here Sign up here! Hunting Thread  You have left your forest home, left without your pack. The earthquake shook a massive hole in your life. Now, you search for the Valley of Hope and for a new pack to share your life with. Before each post you must put this: With Alpha's name's Pack Character name || Sex || Age || Rank This is to make sure there is no confusion. Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it. Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that. Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. I will set up a hunting thread that I will link here. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread. My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts. Strikes Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah? The last thing to say is have fun everyone! Current Plot Update The wolf pack travelled across the soaked plains and have come to the base of the mountain. The rains have passed for now and the sun shines down. However, they must make the decision to either go around or over the mountains. They will soon encounter new wolves, but whether this be a good or bad encounter is up to their choice! Remington || Male || 4 years || Alpha Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though) Remington watched as Velvet and Kade both trotted off back to the clearing. He puffed as he wished they could just all go back together, but didn't want to be over protective or commanding. He stood picking the meat back up in his jaw as and waited for the rest of the pack, Raoula, Twist and Elihu to grab their meat and head back as well. Remington walked back over to Luna and pushed and nudged her gentle with his muzzle to get her up and moving and started off on there way back to the clearing as well. As he neared closer he smelled Velvet and Kade, but others. He growled to himself not sure if they were in danger or not. Instead of going to way they went he would go around the other way to get up behind them in case there had to be a fight. He was not interesting in fighting but if it meant protecting to of his strongest females he would do so. He told Luna to stay here as he trotted off the other way seeing the wolves. He stayed behind a large pine tree, ears twitching as he listened in on there conversation. He could not see them all clearly since he was behind them all, but everything seemed alright at the moment. Remington stood tall, puffing out his chest and walked out from behind the tree and looked around at the other wolves to make sure he knew where they all were. "And I am Remington, may I ask your intentions?" Remington wanted to know why they were in the spot that we already claimed and marked as ours. Remington looked to Kade and Velvet, he saw they were alright and felt a bit better. Remington sent a howl to Luna, Twist, Elihu and Rauola to make them aware of the wolves they have just found. Remington walked over to Kade and Velvet and brushed up against Kade then Velvet and stood between them both watching the other wolves waiting to hear what they had to say. 0 players like this post! Rivers || Female || 3 years || Undecided Rivers glanced at the new male with curiosity. "I'm Rivers, as you may have heard. And, I don't know about the others, but Aatu and I were, indeed, waiting for you. We were hoping you'd just gone on a hunt and because you already seemed like a pack we wanted to join because our packs are dead." She grinned at him and trotted over a step steps to look at him properly. "You're the alpha? You look like an alpha. So can we? Join, I mean? Your pack?" Cyber | Female | 3 years | Undecided Once Cyber returned to the clearing with her new friend Scriber, she noticed another wolf. Male this time. Judging by his posture, she knew he was of importance. Slowly, she approaches the male. Turning her ears back, flipping her tail between her legs, and crouching low, she began to speak. "I don't mean you any harm," She said in a clear voice. "I'm trying to find the Valley of Hope," She tells him. Slowly, she stands back up and lifts her ears. "I was wondering if me and my friend could join you for a while," She continues, gesturing to her friend Scriber. Scriber | Female | 2 years | Undecided Scriber follows Cyber back to the clearing. She feels like she knows her from somewhere, and judging by the way she approached her when they first met, Cyber must feel the same way. Once they make it back to the clearing, she can sense tension. There are many wolves here, it makes her feel uneasy. She watches Cyber approach a large, confident male wolf. She can sense Cyber's nervousness, and to reassure her, she brushes against her side. Scriber stands tall, occasionally looking back at the wolves behind them while Cyber and the male talk. Finally, Scriber approaches the male. "We'll do as much as we can to help," She tells him, "I promise we won't be dead weight." Growing up in such a large family, she knows how difficult it is to feed a large group. Especially if most don't do their part in hunting or raising puppies. She's had to see lots of elders chased out of their pack due to lack of food. They were considered useless. Scriber watches the male wolf. She tries to stand tall and make herself seem confident, but he seems intimidating. She feels surrounded knowing there are many stranger wolves surrounding her. If they weren't friendly, they could attack at any moment, and Scriber and Cyber wouldn't be able to do anything to fight back. But, she keeps a straight face and waits for a response. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Raoula|Female|4 years old|Undecided Raoula smelled the scent of other wolves in the clearing. She froze, watching silently from the side as the others entered the clearing before her. She was reverting back to her normal fear of strange wolves, but as she watched from the side she saw that they weren't attacking. In fact, they seemed submissive. She realised with a shock that she was in a position of dominance in this situation; she hadn't felt that way before. Taking a deep breath, she strode into the clearing. Unsure how to assume a dominant posture, she rose her tail and ears and took a few shaky steps forward, growling lightly in her throat. "Who are you guys?" she said, slightly on edge. She hoped they didn't know her slight aggression was due to fear. She relaxed slightly when some of them asked Remington to join; they obviously didn't mean any harm. Aatu|Male|5 years old|Undecided Aatu rose from his crouching position, stretching his stiff legs as he saw wolves begin to approach the clearing. They emerged from the trees, females from one side and a male and more females from the other. He could tell by scent though that other males were still in the trees, waiting. The male who had emerged seemed to be dominant, so Aatu automatically crouched before him, lowering his head respectfully. "Hello," he said. "Are you the leader of this pack? I'd like to join, please, if I can." he awaited his response, allowing his gaze to rove over the females as he did so-several were rather pretty. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Velvet || Female || 4 years || Undecided rank Velvet’s appearance ”Hello Rivers,” Velvet nodded, slightly more at ease with how friendly the femme’s greeting was, ”I’m Velvet, part of the pack on its way here. We weren’t aware other wolves had survived the earthquake.” A moment of hope flared within her, the thought of finding a member of her old pack almost painful in how much she wished for it, but she quickly stamped down on it. She had a new pack now and she was going to try and rebuild a happy life. Remington appeared, puffing out his chest and introducing himself. Velvet remained quiet after his appearance, happy to let the alpha take over. She wagged her tail when Remington walked over to where she and Kade stood, smiling at him. ”I don’t think they mean us harm,” she told him, ”Perhaps they, too, were caught up in this disaster. If we worked with them it might be easier to reach the Valley of Hope.” Her eyes lit up as the wolf called Rivers asked to join the pack with such excitement it almost made her laugh. Velvet bumped her head under Remington’s chin then gave him a quick lick on the cheek. ”I think letting them join us would be a good idea!” 0 players like this post! Like? |

Luna || Female || 1 year ||Pup After waiting long enough Luna, came out of the trees walking past the other wolves and sat on the ground by the rock lowly whining to herself. She yawned as her as seemed heavy. She was exhausted and just wanted to come back to sleep but no more wolves. Luna had a horrible day in her mind and didn't care about the other wolves, she stood back up and went and laid down beneath a bush, curled up and went to sleep. She was not interested in any of the new wolves because once again they were all older. She had seen Velvet lick Remington as she came in and it was picking at her mind. She wanted to stop thinking about Remington because of what happened during the hunt. She looked over at the two of them and said to herself, if I can not be with him and keep them apart then I will bring them together! She smiled and closed her eyes falling asleep for the night, to wait for morning. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Before he spoke he stopped himself seeing Luna walk away under a bush to fall asleep. It seemed she had no intention or care to even want to be involved in the meeting of other wolves. He then rose his head high and spoke to the new wolves before him, "Welcome, all of you I am glad to see others have survived and I am sorry for your losses you may have had." As he spoke he kept looking at every new wolf before him and laughed at himself. What was he to worry they were all quite smaller than him and seemed to just want to get to this Valley of Hope they all seem to know and talk about. "You may all join on our journey, knowing you will mostly likely help out and carry your own weight your welcome, and plus I think the rest of my pack could use some new wolves to meet." Remington picked up his huge piece of meat from the doe earlier and thew it down to the new wolves. "I am sure you were all hungry, please eat up because tomorrow we start moving." He leaped off of the high boulder and nodded to every wolf, and walked a little bit away. He had lived her for several years, alone he knew his way around. Withing a tunnel of bushes was a den Remington had made himself that he slept in every night. Unless you looked for it or knew it was there you didn't, but when you did see it it was evident it was the place he had been sleeping. The bedding was packed down and small bones were scattered throughout. The den was not small but not huge it could fit a total of two grown wolves. Remington walked in and laid himself down, he was exhausted. His rear end was facing the entrance as his head was in the end of the den to give himself some privacy. He licked his muzzle and snuggled his head down in the bedding. Waiting for his eyes to get heavy and for him to fall asleep, but he kept thinking about Velvet and it was making it hard for him, the warm feeling inside was keeping him awake. If he could he would say how he flt, but that wasn't his personality. He was just happy she wasn't in heat yet, because if she was or any other female then any other male survivors in the area could get aggressive and try to fight for a female. Remington puffed at that thought, no one is getting Velvet he thought, laying there in his covered den. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(Please excuse my absence! I have been /very/ busy. Also, tomorrow my WiFi will go off, and will be for about a week.) Sollux || Male || 4 years, 2 months || Undecided -- Sollux sighed as more wolves entered. He introduced himself as the others did before padding away, not bothering to eat the food there. He wasn't that hungry. He plopped down in a shady spot, his head on his paws. He looked around at the others, eyeing them curiously, studying them cautiously. Then with a deep breath, he slid his lids over his optics. He swept his tail around to his side and pressed his ears back a bit. Then, with a grumble, he drifted off to sleep. (Short. ;u;) (Also, if anyone would like to, please PM me today if you would like to roleplay as Sollux for me until I get back. I would like him to keep on in the story.) 0 players like this post! She watches as the male alpha walks away, then she begins to eat the meat he left for them. She takes a few bites, but then decided to approach one of the females(Velvet) that came with him. She figured they had a special bond. She walks up to her. "Hello, I'm Cyber" she tells her. "Are you the alpha female?" She asks. She wants to have a positive relationship with the group. Just as the female is about to respond, Cyber heard an eerie howl erupt from the distance. Curious, she runs out of the wooded area towards the howl but waits. It's not her job to approach the wolf. She decides to let the alphas access the situation. Dakota | Male | 2 years | Undecided Dakota continues his long walk away from his father's territory. In his mind, his entire family is dead, but he will not give up. It's his job to pass on his family's genes and start a new pack, with his own pups. Then he stops. What if no other wolves survived the earthquake? To start a pack he'll need a mate at least... Velvet || Female || 4 years || Undecided rank Velvet’s appearance Velvet was glad to note that as she spoke to Remington Luna had appeared. The pup had slunk to a corner to lie day and sleep and the femme smiled softly. No matter the accident that Luna had almost caused, she was still young and Velvet felt affection for her. She knew the younger female would need time to recover her bruised pride and could only hope that a good sleep would take care of that. The pup seemed to have learnt her lesson and staying angry further than to get her to understand that would serve for nothing other than to break the pack up. Remington leapt from the boulder and disappeared into the bushes. She knew the alpha wouldn’t go far so didn’t bother to follow him except with soft eyes and a caring smile. Turning her attention back to the chunk of meat still at her paws, she lifted it and also jumped from the boulder. Her tail wagged, ever excited to meet new wolves, as a femme approached her. ”Hello Cyber,” she smiled, ”It’s great to meet you. I’m Velvet, you’re welcome to share some of my food if you want.” She lay down and began to tear off slices of the deer flesh, swallowing it quickly. She didn’t realise how hungry she’d been until the first bit of meat passed her jaws. Licking around her mouth, she chuckled at Cyber’s question. ”Our pack doesn’t have an alpha female,” she told her, ”We’re very newly formed and have yet to settle into roles other than Remington as alpha.” She omitted the part where she wished to be alpha female, not for the power but to be able to call Remington her mate. That was private, for her only to know. Her ears perked at the same howl Cyber towards. Tilting her head she listened for a moment. It was a male and didn’t seem threatening. She lifted her maw, confident that if he meant harm the pack would be able to fend him off. A beautiful song left her mouth, dainty but confident. The howl was not a form of communication that could contain words, but rather one that conveyed meaning. Her meaning was clear; we’re here, we mean no harm, come to us. 0 players like this post! Kade || Female || 5 years || Undecided Kade offered her chunk of meat to Rivers before she started to eat. She was happy to see the pack mingling with the newer wolves, but she was half afraid a fight would break out. For a moment, she wondered where Elihu had gone. He'd been hunting with them but now there was no trace of him. Her ears perked up as her heard a more masculine howl and ended up replying at the same time time as Velvet. Their meanings were the same, however. "Velvet?" she eventually said, "Have you seen Elihu? I saw him right after the hunt but now I can't even smell him." Concern was evident in her voice. Rivers || Female || 3 years || Undecided RIvers heard the howl and the answers, as she accepted and ate part of the meat Kade had offered. "Who's Elihu? Your mate?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. "And who are you in this pack?" She was really curious to know everything she could about the workings of the pack and had also been listening closely to Velvet when she spoke about the newness of the pack. "You're the beta female, aren't you. You have that look about you, like you know what to do." Kade Kade shook her head. "Our pack is new enough to only have an alpha. He hasn't chosen betas yet," she explained. "I probably have that look because in my pack, I was the alpha. And no, Elihu is not my mate, though I consider him a friend. I think we all sort of thought he was going to be the beta, but I don't know where he is now." She finished the meat shared between them and sighed. It had been too long since her stomach had been properly filled. ((It's short, I'm sorry. I'm on my grandmother's computer, which is fine itself but the keyboard is so sticky from my little cousins using it all the time it's hard to type properly.)) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dakota | Male | 2 years | Undecided Dakota listened as multiple howls answered his. His excitement grew and he hurried towards them. Once he arrived close, many smells overwhelmed him. He could smell females and a few males. He became cautious, looking for them. He wandered past a few trees and bushes, finally finding them. He turned his ears forward. He stared at them, shocked at the sight of so many unrelated wolves in one area. Nervous, he decided to wait for them to approach him. He didn't want to cause trouble, and he was definitely out-numbered. He takes a careful step back and tries to stand tall. Cyber | Female | 3 years | Undecided Cyber listened to the other wolves howl back, and she decided to reply as well. She throws her head back and begins to howl. Then, she watches and waits for any sight of the wolf. After waiting a few minutes, she decides to return to the group. She walks back to the small clearing and sits beside Rivers. So far, she is most comfortable around her, considering how friendly she was when they first met. Suddenly, a male wolf walks slowly into the clearing. He seems unsure at the sight of the wolves. Cyber turns her attention to Velvet and waits for her to respond. Even though she says she isn't the alpha female, she will treat her as such until there is one. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Remington || Male || 4 years || Alpha Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though) Remington lay quiet in his den looking to his side remembering how his little sister used to lay there with him at night. He loved sharing his den with someone but hadn't since his sister died when she was young. He cringed at the memories, his ear suddenly twitched at the sound of howls. He heard Velvet's response howl first followed by Kade's. He wasn't very concerned with the sound of the males howl and lay his head back down softly. He re positioned himself a little bit within his den so he could still see out into the clearing watching the others, he kept his gaze on Velvet for quite sometime and wished he could just be alone with her. Remington didn't want to be controlling and didn't want to make them dependent on him so letting them handle the howling wolf somewhere in the distance was a good idea. He wasn't worried and if he was needed he was right there and would be ready for anything. Remington looked back upon Velvet smiled as he lay there relaxed. He was glad to see them all getting along and interacting so well. He could tell they were all happy, his ail ran softly across the bedding of his den. Remington quickly rose his head at the sight the male wolfs arrival. He watched from his den,supervising, watching for a sign of any idea to attack, but still was positive he wouldn't. He chuckled softly to himself watching how the females were acting about the male and amused remained in his den and watched. Kade || Female || 5 years || Undecided Kade's head jerked up as another male entered the clearing. He looked slightly nervous, which was understandable. They were quite a large group. She stood and glanced at Velvet. "Velvet, we should go greet him," she said. "I don't want a ton of wolves to go over there and scare him off, but I don't think one of us should go alone." She flashed him a quick, wolfy grin, but really she was slightly disappointed that it wasn't Elihu. Aside from being her friend, she knew he and Remington had been fairly close, especially since they were really the only males in the group. She didn't count Azazel, as she hadn't seem him since their argument before the hunt. 0 players like this post! Like? |
