Jack stared at the fearie. He didn't hate Cylena, he wasn't in the particular mood to deal with her. "Apperently, you don't know any better. You have been welcomed into the institute as part of the family. You know you are free to leave the building at anytime. I trust you. That is why I leave you here." Jack said to the fearie. "You think Kade and I don't leave each other to do missions? We rarely go together. I trusted that you would be able to handle this new life, but I guess I was altering. I am going to have to treat you like a bad puppy by watching your every move and bringing you everywhere with me." He said, in a calm, yet stern, voice.

She raised an eyebrow. Trusted? That was surprising. From her experience, shadowhunters had rarely trusted faeries, and she understood that. It was a fact of life. "I know I can go out on my own. That isn't the point. The point is that when you two do go, you never trust me enough to help
You out on your missions. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but that is what it looks like to a faerie."

"To some degree I don't trust you. I don't trust that you won't get hurt" He said. "You don't have enough training to be able to go on missions everyday." Jack spoke. Currently they didn't have a trainer due to the last one retiring. Jacks parents were still on the lookout for one. That is another reason why they were in Idris.

Cylena looked away. She hadn't considered the fact that they were worried she would get hurt. The pixie had been trained to fight, but she had little experience in actual life or death combat; not even to mention fighting against demons. "I'll clean up, it'll get done tonight." She said despondantly, looking at her feet.

Jack looked at the fearie. "Thank you." He said. "If you want, you can look at the board and choose a mission. I will go with you." He said, his voice softening. He put his fingers through the belt loops on his pants.

((Why does Jack always have to be the bad guy DX Yelling at Kade for being drunk, telling her his sad life story and to get over her own, making Cylena sad?!?!?! It's like the drama follows him XD))

Kade || Shadowhunter

Kade did end up drinking a little more but not too much. "Jack got upset with me for drinking last night and I don't want to come home entirely wasted again so soon," she explained.

Ethan smiled a sort of crooked grin. "Who cares what Jack thinks or does?"

"I do," Kade answered, her voice showing that she a slightly offended by the question. Then Ethan leaned over and tried to kiss her, but she just dropped from the tree and hit the ground running. She hadn't known him long enough for that sort of thing and didn't like him as more than a friend anyways. She was back home in a few moments, as she didn't stop running and she was a runner.

Ethan was behind her, she felt like she was still being chased, so she slammed the door and bolted every bolt and locked every lock before climbing the stairs to look for Jack and Cylena. She found them quickly and didn't bother to explain anything.

"Ethan just tried to kiss me and he knows I don't like him as more than a friend and I don't know what to do," she said, all in one breath, holding onto the doorframe because she felt like she'd collapse.

Jack whirled around to find Kade hanging onto the door frame. He stared at her for a few moments before saying "What?" He walked over to her. "Are you okay?" He asked, concerned.

Cylena really didn't want to, but realized Jack was trying to be nice. She looked over, managing a little smile. "Thanks." She said, and was about to add more when Kade burst into her room. Her eyebrows raised, suspecting that her alchohol was making her act weird again; she could smell it on her from there, even if it wasn't strong. "You should've just told him that... Unless you think it may be something else..." She decided to act as if it was real for now.

Kade let herself slip to the floor. "I didn't have too much to drink because I knew you'd be upset if I came home drunk again and he asked why I cared and I said because I do and he got kinda offended for a moment then tried to kiss me but we've been over this, that we're just friends and we're not ever going to be anything more. And I just left, I ran away," she said in a rush.

"I'm fine; I run faster than him. But he was coming after me and I locked all the doors."

Jack crouched down and helped Kade stand. "If you want, I'll make him go away." Jack said, his voice cool. "Or, you can go talk to him" he said. His voice was cool, but he was mad. Kade was almost like family by now. They've spent a lot of time together, along with Cylena. If anyone hurt either if them, he didn't know what he would do to the sucker.

Kade looked up at Jack, sadness clear on her face. "He's the only friend I have that isn't in immediate danger," she said, slowly catching her breath. "The only friend I have here, besides you two. I think I should give him a few days and see if he apologizes." She did appreciate that Jack was protective of her but if it came to it, she could handle him herself.

Jack stayed silent. He helped Kade stand up, and he let her lean on him. He walked her to her room. The door opened under his touch. The three of their rooms were pretty close, not one next to the other, but close enough.

Kade let Jack help her to her room. She didn't need help to walk but she liked that he was concerned, and she walked over to her bed, where her hands found the album from the night before. Shaking her head ever-so-slightly, she picked it up and returned it to the shelf, getting her sketchbook and a couple pencils instead.

"You going to be okay?" He asked, not sounding concerned on the outside, but on the inside he was. He'd never met Eithan, just heard Kade talk about him here and there. He never paid much thought to him. Jack leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms.

Kade nodded, already sketching the basics of a face. She draw faces when she was nervous or upset and was sober enough to draw. She drew when Jack wouldn't let her drink or when she didn't have anything. it was effective in calming her, so long as she could stay drawing. And now she drew Ethan. The way his eyes sparkled just a little and his grin, the crooked one. They were friends but he had a face that was good for drawing.
