Raphael padded shoulder to shoulder with Artemis and pinned his ears back when he heard her muttered cuss. If she snapped now, all hell would break loose especially with tensions so high. He pretended to trip, though his pack mates probably knew by now that he would never be so heavy footed, and stumbled into Artemis. He used the opportunity to snap his teeth close to her ear, a warning for her to shut her mouth and not ruin things. "Sorry about that. But you know, Lucifer was generous enough to lend us her subjects to see us safely home, Artemis," he said with false cheer once he had regained his footing. "Lets respond in good faith, okay?"

With an irritated grunt for a response, Artemis' rage and sharp comments dissipated into the breeze and she continued her pace towards the border. {This is so annoying. Someone bite me. This multicolored mutt doesnt take anything seriously, is that even POSSIBLE??}

Nova and Aela | Noble and Scout | Duskfall

Nova and Aela exchanged surprised glances. Artemis' demeanour and attitude had been turned completely upside down since heading towards the border. Nova shot the dark she-wolf a suspicious glance. Was she showing her true colours? Even the dark brown male, Raphael, was more energetic than he had been back at the camp. Nova was eager to show them off the territory and wash his pelt of the horrible miasma he felt in waves from the trio. Aela wasn't feeling much better. The small golden fae was unusually snappy and Nova could practically taste her anger.

Artemis smirked a little as she felt the unease and confusion from the two behind them "What's up with you two? Feline got your tongues?" She sneered a little and picked up her pace, eager to leave. "Say, Nova was it? What IS that on your neck? Doesnt look normal. And if i may, where's your ear?" Her voice was tinged with an absolutely maniacal feeling, and Pyre, flanking them on the right, got visible chills down her spine.

Tyrael snapped his ears towards Artemis a warning growl bubbling deep within his throat. "Thats none of your concern, friend." He said lowly, looking to Nova as if saying 'dont mention a thing'. He caught the break in her attitude and it unhinged him greatly, he had finally put a name to the familiarness coming off the two faes and he didn't like it. Not one bit.

Nova | Noble | Mentions Artemis and Ty
Nova caught Tyraels eye and nodded, understanding. He replied jovially to Artemis, "As my packmate said, it's none of your concern. Didn't your mother ever teach you not to ask rude questions to strangers?". He resolved himself not to let the female get to him. Asking about the collar was one thing-to ask about the ear in such a provocative manner was another story. She knew where it was. And considering Illumi was the one to take it that meant she was with him. His fears had been realized and ShadowPack had moved into their neighbouring forest, he realized with a sinking feeling. But keeping a level head when dealing with these wolves was the most important thing. No doubt Artemis had been taught to taunt and manipulate as most of her kind had. Nova didnt like to do it but he knew that now was the time to look back on his time in that pack and use what he knew of them to protect Duskfall. His future conversation with Lucifer now come to the forefront of his mind and his paws itched to get back as soon as possible.

She snickered lowly as the pups confidence in her skill had her boasting slightly. Blue eyes watched the apprentice without a sound. Beginning to circle 'round the pup. (Just what she calls apprenctices from time-to-time) Her eyes scanned the dark grey fur slowly as she gauged Ari's reaction to her movements. Lunging about half-way across the circle with a growl, dancing back into her past position and continuing the circling. Doing that every so often, almost at a pattern, before she broke pattern in a flash of black and white was racing for the Dark grey apprentice, faking a lunge for her right and lowering her head to slam into the other's left shoulder.

Arielle | Female | 13 months | Apprentice [STB Noble]

Arielle followed Lucifer in circling, her big, clever eyes watching the other she-wolf intently. She jumped back every time the alphess lunged forward, keeping the distance between them. It became a dance at this point, a ballet almost, as the older she-wolf ran forward, the younger leaped back. Showing her teeth again, the apprentice watched her opponent dart forward, but hadn't fully grasped the concept of what she was doing until she was less than a tail length away. The gray wolf went to counter the lunge to the right, but was taken by surprise by the alphess's head as it made contact with her bony left shoulder. She was pushed a few paces to the right by the impact, grunting with shock. Not hesitating for too long, Arielle spun back around to face Lucifer, growling but ready. Her long neck stretched out in front of her, lower than her shoulders by a little, and she waited for the next attack. After this next move, it would be the apprentice's turn to attack, and she had a few tricks up her fur.

Lucifer snorted as she stumbled back from the impact slightly, her head throbbing ever so slightly, she sauntered a few steps backwards and flicked her ears upwards slightly. Eyeing the apprentice, "Be ready for any and everything Ari." Strangely enough the alpha began spinning in a circle, it widened and got smaller every so often before at just the right time jumped from the spin. She rolled in the air, ready to land on or to the side of the young one. She'd learned strange moves back at her old pack, but she was slightly out of practice. -shortttt-
