Lucifer let out a growl as her tail was chomped down on, no doubt ripping fur from it's groomed places on it. A growl bubbled in her chest as she watched the tiniest movements of the younger, fully prepared to jump with the slightest bit of movement. Instead of leaping away from her, she leaped into Arielle. Grabbing ahold of the younger's shoulder and throwing herself upwards with her back legs, aiming to roll the pair and slightly toss the smaller fae. Lucifer may have been older and inexpirenced but most wolves of the pack still didn't know her moves.

Arielle | Female | 13 months | Apprentice [ STB Noble ]

Arielle responded to Lucifer's growl with one of her own, the tone slightly more serious than playful. She was beginning to get more into the battle mindset, though the apprentice was careful not to start truly trying to injure the alphess. She rolled with the other she-wolf, landing on her back, the tail still clamped in her jaws. Letting go of the bushy appendage, Arielle's back legs thrust themselves rigid in the air, holding up Lucifer's head and neck away from her undersides.

Pyre watched the treeline as they disappeared, her suspicions confirmed. As the others turned to leave and left, she stayed another few moments before following, running back to the camp ahead of them. "Alpha Lucifer." She cleared her throat as she came across the sparring wolves, but dipped her head and backed up when she saw that they were training. Her expressionless gaze turned into a prideful smile as she watched Arielle hold her own with her alpha, and she watched the battle continue, her eyes beaming at the pup she had taken under her wing all those moons ago.

Aela | Scout | Talks to Nova

Aela harboured dark suspicions about ShadowPacks intentions. Was it mere coincidence that they had shown up where three wolves they previously knew had set up a new life? The ShadowPack she knew had never been hellbent on revenge. They had been ruthless and coldblooded and not the funnest pack to talk to but they had their own sense of pride and honor too. She hoped whole heartedly that that hadnt changed, but the weird she-wolf who had threatened them dimmed her hopes and made her expect the worst. As she was lost in her dark thoughts, a thick tail swished under her chin and she raised her eyes to meet Nova's warm green ones. "Chin up, soldier. It's not the end of the world. Whatever happens we have each other and the pack. That will never change," he said encouragingly. Aela forced a smile and nodded, her heart squeezing with pain at the thought of not having him or any of her friends by her side any more. She then shook her head and decided to push away these negative feelings. Nova was trying hard to be cheery for her sake. The least she could do was return his efforts.
"I know, I know," she hummed and playfully batted at his tail. Her head bent back as she gazed up at the treetops. "You head on to Lucifer. I'm gonna patrol for a bit and make sure those guys don't think of paying a visit before its due."
Nova watched her silently for a moment then nodded and smiled "I'll see you later then." He continued on, his large frame limping slightly as he walked. Aela turned and padded back towards the border.

Novas good ear swivelled towards where the sounds of a wrestling match could be heard. He could smell Lucifer, Pyre and Ari in that direction. Was the apprentice having an evening training session? It would be fun to watch, but for now he had other matters on his mind. He padded over to Adsila, watching the red she-wolf in the stream for a moment before saying "Hey, sorry about before. Rogues, death threats, the usual."

Lucifer snapped her ears as someone addressed her, though to engrossed in what was happening at the moment to really pay attention, "Take Nova to my den. Tell him I'll be there soon." She called over before a single growl ripped from her throat and she sprung up. Skidding on her paws and looking to Arielle, "You certainly could hold your own, I'll have someone continue this with you later, for now pup, behave and see if someone will patrol with you." She touched noses to the fae before looking around the clearing, eyes alert and sharp. Spotting Pyre she realized that was who had addressed her.

At the sounds of a voice she became startled, loosing her balance and falling into the cold water. Now with a soaked pelt she got to her paws, turning to face the noble. She climbed out of the stream, onto the earth and shaking out her pelt. "I know, surprisingly I was there" she scoffed slightly. "Not that anyone noticed, but hey I didn't expect them to. Not even the damn wolves who came onto our territory" she gave a slight glare. It was clear she was not best please with the pack, they seemed to be pushing her further and further away. I am NEVER noticed, what is wrong with this pack she snarled slightly.

Arielle allowed Lucifer to escape her grasp and stood, shaking her thick pelt out. With a few licks, she smoothed out the fur on her chest, the hairs growing longer with the approaching winter. Soon, she'd be able to romp in the snow, flicking flurries at the other wolves. She bowed her head to her alpha, appreciating her praise, "Thank you." Catching her breath, the apprentice padded to a flat boulder in camp, climbing on and laying down on the cool stone.

Nova had begun to laugh when Adsila fell into the water, but at her angry words he took half a step back and lowered his ears, shocked to hear her sounding so angry "Sorry Adsila, I didn't know you felt that way," he said hesitantly. "If I ignored you or something I really do apologize, I was just more focused on the strangers on our territory." He turned his face away as she shook water from her fur and turned to face her again, his eyes a bit brighter "I'd take it as a good thing the creeps didn't notice you. You'd make one heck of a spy," he smiled. His ears twitched, noticing the sound of sparring had stopped. "I have to meet with Lucifer just now but I wanted to know if you were still up for going on a hunt. I don't care if we stay out past sundown. It'd be fun to bring something back and we do make a killer team." He tilted his head, pleading with her with his eyes. "What do ya say?"

"I really don't care for your excuses. I don't want to be a spy, I want to be part of this pack. I may be small, but the fact I was stood beside everyone and in front of the strangers and yet was invisible makes me realize that maybe I'm not welcome" she snapped. It was clear that this had really gotten to her, in fact it had gotten her doubting Lucifer's leadership a little. "As for the hunting, sure. I feel like digging my teeth into something and tearing it;s throat out" she replied, her tail flicking. The small she hadn't ever been prone to violence, but something now was making her want it more than ever. She now turned to face the river, lowering her cranium to it and beginning to lap up the water.

Nova gazed at her, eyes full of concern "No one thinks you're invisible Adsila and you're as welcome here as any one else. I wouldn't be here at all if it weren't for you, so please don't say things like that," he said, walking forward so he could see her face when they talked. "I know Pyre can be difficult and everyone's had a lot on their minds but you havent been forgotten." He hardly recognized the she-wolf and was feeling a bit scared, truth be told. He'd always thought Adsila of all would be collected and calm, the rock of the pack. He'd been an idiot to think that she wouldnt be affected by all of this. Guilt washed through him and he swallowed, throat hurting slightly. "I've been a bad friend and I'm sorry."

Lucifer's ears swivled, tilting her head to Pyre curiously. She sighed before walking over to the corner, waving her tail at the fae to follow her over. Sitting down about half way into the shadows her head cocked again, "Yes Pyre?" -shortttt-

Pyre dipped her head "It's shadowpack, a new branch from the main, it sounds like. It sounds like the lead is Nova's niece, which means she's more than likely Killua's sibling." She glanced at where the border would be "Theyre definitely up to something."
