"Noted," Raphael growled. He stepped forward until he was face to face with the large male. "What business do you have on our territory, trespasser? Be honest- we don't take kindly to liars." His dusk brown fur rose, as did his tail in a sign of dominance. He didn't want to come off as weak but at the same time he didn't want to scare off a potential recruit. Judging from the wolfs size and his strength to take down an elk by himself, he would be a formidable foe in battle and one that ShadowPack could use on their side. He knew Meruem would like him anyway.

Artemis snarled at the male beneath her paws "Elkshit, rogue!" She snarled and lowered her face "Now. Did you expect this pack to be scrawny pushovers like the other two? If you did, i understand. Want me to let you up? Youll follow me back to our camp." She growled, remaining where she was and waiting for acknowledgment of submission.

Meruem | Alpha
"Very well. I'll never say no to added strength, no matter how small it may be," Meruem said with a dip of her head to Zenya. She met the small wolfs gaze and said "You may be small but do not let the other members bully you for it. There is much to be gained from having a small stature as you will soon learn." She noticed that Isis, Shayla and Killua had returned with a moose carcass though Vex and Illumi were no where to be seen. Why was she not surprised. "Help yourself to that moose over there," she said with a nod towards the fallen prey. "And be ready to defend yourself if its not appreciated."

Zenya || Female || Gamma || Mentions: Eating, Pack members

Zenya nodded gratefully and stood near the other pack members, she gave them their space though. She knew to wait until it was her turn. Zenya looked over each wolf that was in the open. She knew she'd have to learn the strengths and weaknesses of each wolf to survive here. Zenya looked over her shoulder to the camp entrance, wondering when Raphael would be back.

Ven || Male || Loner (Eventually gamma or maybe healer)

Ven snarled and ripped out from under the female's paw, he then sat calmly next to the two. "I wasn't expecting anything. Definitely not a welcoming committee. But yes if you'd like me to go to your camp, I will. But I'm not leaving behind my dinner." His tail flicked towards the doe's cold body. Snow had started to gather on it, the sun was just falling below the horizon. Soon it would be dark.

Meruem | Alpha

Meruem padded over to the moose and dig her teeth into the hole that had already been made in its belly- by Killua, judging from the teeth marks. With a forceful jerk of her head she tore a sizeable strip of flesh and intestine from the beast and backed away several paces. She flicked her tail at Zenya, signalling her to help herself before settling on a soft patch of pine needles and chowing down on the still warm guts. Her mind worked furiously as she did so, all the puzzle pieces falling into place. She already knew what she was going to do for Zenya's test though it would have to wait a few weeks, and if Raphael and Artemis did bring back a big male and he wanted to join- not that he had a choice lolz- she had a request of him also. Then it would be about time their training began. She started pairing up names in her head.

Shayla | Gamma |Mentions Zenya

Shayla swallowed her last bit of meat and ran her tongue around her mouth, licking the beads of blood from her muzzle. Her pale blue eyes were trained on the small dark she-wolf that had been talking with Meruem. A new member most likely. She seemed familiar with pack life seeing as she was waiting her turn before she ate from the moose. Deciding to have a little fun, Shayla rose to her paws and stalked over to the newbie, narrowing her eyes and raising her hackles in fake anger. "I hope you don't plan on eating that," she growled.

Raphael | Gamma | Mentions Ven and Artemis

Raphael sighed when he saw Artemis dragging the elk. "They've just hunted a moose you know," he pointed out in the most respectful tone he could muster. "I'd rather get back quickly with big guy over here than drag and elk through the snow which will go to waste anyway. Let the crows have it." He motioned to the flock of the black-feathered birds which were lining the branches of nearby trees and filling the air with their raucous cries. He didn't mention that he also wanted to see how Zenya was doing and if Meruem had truly let her stay.

Artemis smirked "You havent lived with my family long enougj, Raph. The best innards will be stripped within two days and depending on moods and how the rest of the pack is eating, another hunt would be called within a week. An ice cache will be fine for keeping this elk fresh til they want another liver or heart." Artemis flicked her tail "Both of you start dragging, or we WILL leave it here to rot."

Zenya || Female || Gamma || Mentions: Pack, eating, Raphael

Zenya laid her head on her paws and watched each wolf carefully, her ears perked when Meruem signalled her. As she started to rise to her paws, she stopped as a she-wolf stood over her. Zenya tilted her head at the female's words, trying to detect a tone, which she dectected a fake sense of hostility. Zenya looked up at the female, "Well, yes." Zenya padded around the female and started tearing a chunk off the thigh. The meat was lean, still warm too. Zenya started eating a little ways from Meruem.

Ven || Male || Loner (eventually gamma or healer) ||

Ven rolled his eyes slightly, he would not let his kill go to waste no matter who was around. He never extorted energy unless he had to, which he did hunting. Ven grabbed at a hock on the doe and started to pull, without waiting for the other male.

Shayla watched on in shock when Zenya just breezed past and started eating. What in the blazes was that about? Her act forgotten, she trotted over to the she-wolf and sat by her."I like you!" she stated simply with a smile. "If you can see through it that quickly you'll have no problem with Killua and Illumi's tricks. What's your name newbie?"

Raphael sighed again and joined his efforts with theirs in taking the elk back home. If the male was helping at least he wouldn't run away, and therefore had no need for a guard just yet. When they reached the camp he dropped the leg he had been dragging and worked the stiffness from his jaw for a moment. Artemis was the delta, she could take over from here. With a polite nod to the both of them he turned and entered the camp, heading for the moose. His amber eyes picked out Zenya's small form and with a surprising feeling of relief he smiled. If she was eating with the pack she'd clearly been accepted by Meruem.

Artemis licked some beads of blood from her muzzle, dropping the elk carcass inside the entrance to camp. "We'll have someone bury this later." She hummed, flicking her tail for him to follow her. She trotted over to Meruem and nodded curtly in greeting "Alpha, this is Ven." She nodded at the male and joined Meruem at her side, the small scratches on her tail had stopped bleeding and already blended in.

Meruem swiped her tongue around her muzzle and stood. She circled Ven once, sniffing his scent. She caught hints of Artemis as well as elk blood. She'd seen the elk when they dragged it to camp. So he'd been hunting? Well, at least the pack wouldn't have to hunt for at least a quarter moon now, if not more. Her green eyes flicked over his large size, then to Artemis. Her sensitive nose had picked up the scent of her sisters blood which meant they'd more than likely scuffled briefly. "How would you feel about joining my pack Ven?" she finally asked. Her voice was kind though it was easy to see past it to the cold interior of her unfeeling state. Though the invitation sounded warm it was clear that there was not much room for discussion. She gave him an empty smile and nodded towards the elk body. "You do not have to join but you do owe us a debt. No one hunts on our territory without permission."
