Zenya smiled slightly at the she-wolf, "I'm Zenya, and you are?" She finished eating, her small belly was full. Zenya sat up and licked her maw clean. Her ears perked and her attention was drawn to Raphael and the she-wolf known as Artemis, there was also the big wolf she had stumbled upon in the forest. Her gaze shifted to Meruem, watching her body language.

Ven || Male || Loner (Gamma or maybe healer) ||

Ven dropped the elk's hock and moved his stiffened jaw. He looked around at the camp, before his eyes rested on the alpha. He sat and thought for a moment, "I wouldn't mind joining." He hadn't been in a pack ever, when he had been born, he was obviously bigger than his siblings so the alpha of his mother's pack had made her abandoned him for fear of the Ven someday trying to overthrow the alpha.

Shayla | Gamma
"I'm Shayla," the white wolf stated proudly. "I'm a tracker- though gamma is the official rank. I mostly sneak around the borders on missions." She followed Zenya's gaze to Raphael, Artemis, Meruem and....well, hello there! She felt her heart skip a beat at the sight of the large, strange male who was talking with their alpha. He was a far cry from the other males in the pack who leaned more towards the slim side, excluding Vex. But hedgehogs would fly before any she-wolf caught his attention from what she'd seen. "Today is just full of surprises," she said under her breath. (aaaand fangirl mode is switched on! poor Ven haha)

Meruem | Alpha

Meruem sighed and her eyes darkened slightly "I'm afraid 'wouldn't mind' may not cut it for what I'll be asking of you if you do join." She dipped her head at his-well- body, and said "I need someone of your uh, stature, to complete something I've been working on. If its not done right we may have some problems in the future and your fang size will do fine to avoid it." She gave him a challenging look. "Have you ever killed a wolf before?"

Raphael | gamma

Raphael quietly walked past Meruem and Ven, and over to Zenya. He gave her a smile as he approached. He wasn't surprised to see Shayla with her already. His white pack mate was always the first to attain juicy information within the pack, though thankfully she was also well known for keeping secrets. He sat next to Zenya though kept a tail length between them so she wouldnt get the wrong idea (ha, riiiight Raphy). "So, everything went well then?" he asked her in a quiet voice. His ears were pricked as he also wanted to hear what Meruem, Artemis and Ven were talking about.

Zenya || Female || Gamma || Mentions: Test, pack, Raphael, training

Zenya smiled at Shayla, she seemed like someone she could be close to. "I'm good at tracking too, maybe we can trade tips sometime." She smiled as Raphael came over, "Everything went well, though Meruem mentioned something about a test. Maybe you and Shayla could help me train and get ready?" Zenya inched slightly closer to Raphael, then her attention turned back to Meruem and the huge male, her ears perked forward to listen.

Ven (Forgot to mention, it's short for Vendetta) || Male || Loner (Gamma or Healer) || Mentions: Pack, killing

Ven tilted his head and looked slightly down at Meruem, she was big for a female, just not his size. He gave her a toothy smirk, "I'd love to join." His smirk turned into a normal smile when she mentioned killing. "Yes I have, I don't take kindly to cheaters or thieves." Ven's eyes closed for a moment, remembering the time he had found a rogue male in his den going through his stuff and his kill pile.

Raphael | Gamma

Raphael twitched his ears even as Shayla gave a short breath of laughter beside them. "It's not exactly the type of test you can train for.." he said, wondering how to much to tell her. "It's to test your loyalty to the pack." And also to get you involved in their business so you can't escape being loyal anyway. He remembered when he first joined the pack and Meruem had said that rogues that joined had to lose an eye, to show that they were not packborn. He'd been terrified but ready to lose half of his vision on order to follow her and ShadowPack. A second before the blow reached however she called it off and said he'd passed, and the whole thing had been a lie in order to test how far he'd been willing to go for her. Back then he hadn't exactly been loyal; he'd owed her his life and refused to leave the debt unfulfilled. However as time had passed, ShadowPack had become his home and now he truly loved it. He looked sympathetically at Zenya, wondering what she'd have to do.

Meruem | Alpha

Meruem nodded with satisfaction. "Wait here." She disappeared into her den and returned with the blood soaked body of James, the sunrise scout, over her shoulders. She carried him over to Ven and dropped him with a sickening crunch. That'd be the bones... she thought with mild amusement. A few hours of relentless interrogation and sliced flesh meant she had some interesting info on her rival pack. But he had nothing left to tell her and she wasn't exactly enjoying his drawn out torture. Her eyes bored into Vens. "This is James from Sunrise pack, our neighbours. His only mistake was delivering news of a hunters attack to our camp and he has suffered in the last day more than most wolves would in a lifetime. Kill him."

Vex felt a deadly growl bubble in his throat at the males words, no matter how much it pained him to do so. His ears flattened backwards again and huffed before forcing himself up and away from illumi once again. He felt his insides shaking and his mind screaming at him to turn and go back into the males waiting paws. Vex stopped and a sat down a few feet off, his body quivering.

Illumi felt like someone's claws had just shredded his heart to bits, when Vex chose to move away from him. The pain in his chest was almost too much for him to even try to speak, greater than the pain of his ribs. The black wolf tentatively crept closer to the other male and sat a tail length from him, his gaze looking away. He had no idea what to do or say in this situation. It's not like he was experienced with this kind of drama. He didn't feel awkward though, only anxious that Vex was slipping away from him due to something he couldn't control. Okay, maybe he could have controlled it. There were other ways to bring down the moose. Finally he managed to find his voice and said in a half-whisper "When you want to face me I'll be here." 'I'll always be here

Vex let his head fall to his chest, a single tear falling down his muzzle when the silence followed. Assuming the worst until he felt the brutes presence creeping up behind him slowly, then the males voice echoed in his empty thoughts. 'I'll be here' he let out a shuddering sigh and slowly turned to face the male, and painfully slow made his way to Illumi with a huff. Plopping down and keeping his head lowered.

Illumi felt an immeasurable amount of relief well up inside him when Vex moved closer. He was scared he was being rejected for a while. He stretched his neck forward so his nose touched Vex's cheek, and smiled at him in a way totally unknown to him. Vex's actions weer still confusing him but he didn't care any more. As long as the paler wolf was by his side Illumi didn't care about anything. A sudden thought crossed his mind and he frowned "When we get back to camp...you musn't tell Meruem or the others what happened," he whispered. "If she know you freaked out she could kick you from the pack or worse."

Killua glanced around and slipped into shadow mode, pressing his presence down and padding normally to his den, putting on a 'Where'd he go?-I think i saw him go into his den' act before slipping past his den and padding into the woods. Swerving he altered a wide arc towards the border.

Artemis | Delta | Shadowpack

Artemis huffed at the sudden quiet of camp - they must feel the tension of killing a wolf in the middle of camp. Harshly she nudged Ven "Well? Go on then." She muttered. If he took much longer just staring at the mangled scout, Meruem might doubt him - and Artemis didnt want to get yelled at for bringing some lightheart to camp.

(Lol, i just thought of that. Wolves that shadowpack consider to have a weak determination for killing or feel bad are mocked as 'lighthearts' until they show their resolve. Whether they are shadowpack born or rogues. How's that sound hope? Maybe it was like that during the old Shadow's reign and some wolves still say it like that, including some who heard it *aka younger killers, like stories of the past from Dire and Kill to their children, Nebula taking it to heart and passing the teachings of mocking the young and 'weak' as lighthearts to his children and trainees.)

(Also, when are we going to night for the month timeskip? MIKA AND TERRA!! And Shayla going home and bringing Alecai and them back. Ill kakao you my idea for that)
