ShadowPacks territory comprises of sprawling, green woodland where the trees are spaced far apart and the undergrowth is rich in plants and critters. Numerous streams trickle through their glens and glades, providing life to the forest throughout all the seasons. In winter snow blankets the ground and ice laces the edges of the streams, muting the natural sounds of the forest and giving everything an ethereal look. Herds of deer and the occasional wild boar forage and provide food for the more predatory beings that reside here, while squirrels and turkeys provide hearty snacks. ShadowPack has made its camp in the heart of the forest where all is quiet save for the trill of bird and the humming of insects. Dens dug out beneath the roots of mighty firs and within ancient trunks provide shelter. This packs border is close to the nearby Duskfall Pack, and the mountain range of the Sunrise Pack can be seen from higher points.

(I'll put a link up asap. Sure, Raphael or Shayla would be fine. If someone wants something to do they can go as well)

Meruem | Alpha | F Also, loving the 'mentions a pine needle XD'

Meruem nodded to Kismet as he strode away, glad that she could rely on him. Obedience and discipline was the key to a well functioning pack. Loyalty could be earned along the way if you weren't born with it. Wolves who understood that were well favoured in ShadowPack. As Isis approached with her pup, Meruem let warmth into her features. Gaining the trust of the young ones was important to ensure their devotion later on and being stone faced wasn't the fastest way to go about it. She had learned that from her grandmother. "Yes, they are very close. We'll visit them by sunrise tomorrow and see what packs they have assimilated into." She gazed down at Jazzlyn, narrowing her eyes in what she hoped was a playful expression. "Careful little one. Getting lost in these woods (I misspelt that as words omg 0///0) wouldn't be wise." She kept her ears perked, listening for Artemis' return.

Shayla | Gamma | Mentions Coy

Bored with Raphael and his silence, Shayla stepped over to Coy, letting her paws carry her soundlessly. After moons of being raised to be quiet in wet terrain where the slightest error could cause a splash or sucking sound, this soft ground was like walking on clouds to her and she planned to take full advantage of it. Opening her mouth, she was about to call out to him when he sneezed and fell on his haunches. The air rushed out of her lungs in a fit of laughter and she had to sit down lest she fall over. "You should see your face!" the creamy she-wolf teased. "I'm loving this place already. Thanks for giving it your blessing, Coy."

Kismet(Beta): Isis, Shayla & Coy

After hearing his instructions, Kismet swore he had seen a glimpse of a wink given by Isis as she approached. He offered her a responding nod of his head to her greeting, studying her with confusion on his face. Surely she didn't wink at me. The beta continued walking as Meruem spoke. Noticing distant movement, Kismet flicked his gaze to Shayla. The white wolf paused and stood statue-like as he watched her skillfully stalk up to Coy, only to burst with laughter at the male's intense sneeze. A small, gruff chuckle left his maw and shook his head slightly as he neared the two. Kismet's pale eyes shifted between the two as he neared, offering them a faint smirk as he approached, though his eyes heavily contrasted any warmth or friendliness that was given from his lips. No matter his mood, Kismet's eyes seemed off. Though beautiful, his eyes had been pained by misery for so long that the emotion seemed embedded into the crystal flecks.
"We're to create a scent boarder near the outskirts of the territory. Alpha's orders," Kismet stated, offering a small sway of his tail. They would be nearing 'Duskfall' territory and the thought made him weary - though he didn't show it. A sigh escaped his lips as he turned his head to the side, gazing in the direction they'd be traveling with narrowed eyes. He was uncertain of what or even whom they would find, but protecting Shadow lands was necessary.

Artemis | Delta | 2

Artemis padded back, her pawsteps silent and thanks to her shadow like appearance with only some brown in a forest of brown, she was nearly invisible, even in the sun. She stepped out of the brush in front of Shayla and Coy, and flashed hem both a hard glare, her eyes the exact color as emeralds, they were intense and almost always annoyed and angry, giving her a constantly intimidating and scary appeal. She bared sharpened teeth at the trouble makers, her face full of disdain and annoyance as she padded past them to Meruem "Clear."

(Fir they already found a camp XD Artemis was ordered to scout the perimeter of the potential camp not the entire territory LOL! If you wanna change your post I'll wait before having Meruem respond)
Shayla | Gamma | F

Shayla cast her eyes downward respectfully as Kismet approached, then raised them and nodded when he had finished speaking. "Aye, aye, beta," she said cheerfully, though her smile soon turned to a silent snarl as Artemis gave her and Coy a total greaso. She pinned her ears back and looked away as the delta talked with Kismet. She might have to do what Artemis said but that didn't mean she had to like the cruel she-wolf. Being related to her helped lessen the sense of authority. Thanks for that, mood ruiner she growled internally, hoping Artemis might spontaneously be able to read minds. She didn't mind being scolded-it was a common occurrence for her. But when she had done nothing wrong and especially when innocent wolves like Coy were snapped at as well, that was when her temper frayed. She certainly hadn't gotten that part from her father. Her dad had been a mild tempered but fun loving wolf, while her mother had been the one to keep them both in line. Thinking of her mother made a pang of longing run through her and she bit back a whine. They had only been separated for a couple of moons but there was no one she was closer to, except perhaps her aunt. But Shadow wasn't really someone you could cuddle up to and gossip with until dawn.

Coy | Male | Gamma
Mentions: Shayla, Kismet & Artemis.

Coy lets out a soft groan and rubs a paw against his tingling nose, glancing up as he hears another wolf break into a fit of laughter. A playful sneer comes to his face and he drops his paw to the ground, opening his mouth as if to say something. The presence of the Beta and one of the Deltas striding up causes him to go silent. His ears perk slightly at Kismet's words and he gives the other male a slight nod before getting to his feet. The glare that Artemis gives him as she waltzes in makes his fur stand up slightly in anger but he stifles his temper quickly and turns his attention back to Shayla and Kismet, patiently waiting for them to set off on their border patrol excursion.

Kiche | Female | Delta
Mentions: Meruem, Isis & Jazzlyn

Kiche glances around at the trees above her, a soft smile coming to her face. They reminded her a lot of the place where she had grown up.. a warm and cozy stretch of woods with her mother and younger half-brother. She tears her gaze away from the moss-covered giants to peer at the Alpha, perched atop a rock. Her pace quickens as she nears her and the other dark-coated wolf, Isis. Her smile widens and she bends down, nudging Isis' pup in greeting, "Good evening." She barks to the three, her eyes flicking between them. She could smell the scent of the Beta and glances around for him momentarily, Must have already left.

Meruem | Alpha | Mentions Kiche

Meruems green eyes flicked to Kiche "There you are. I've just sent Kismet to lay down borders." She glanced at her moon pelted beta and saw he had chosen Shayla and Coy to take along with him. Any duskfall patrols they encountered would think they were from a pack of white-furred wolves, she observed with some amusement. There it was again, that light heartedness that made her find pleasure in the smallest details. She was certainly in a good mood this evening. Let's see how long it lasts she mused to herself. Returning her attention to Kiche, she said "Take Raphael and see if you two can't find us a meal to eat tonight. Isis, Artemis and I shall stay and make the camp suitable to stay in." She normally would have sent her sister out as well but Raphael already obeyed Artemis by default of being loyal to Meruem. He didn't know Kiche as well and it would do him good to learn to be subordinate to her as well. Besides, Artemis had a good eye for detail and would be useful for setting up camp. Most alphas probably wouldnt lower themselves to manual labour like shovelling dirt and moving logs, but Meruem never saw the point in finding dishonor in hard work. Her gammas had to do it. If she was to understand them she would as well.

Artemis | Delta | 2

Artemis sat down at the mention of staying in camp and sighed quietly {Sister could have at least had me do something more useful. Like sneak into the neighboring pack's camp? That would be fun... but, i suppose making this place a bi more liveable would be fine. Dont want to have to sleep in a drenched den if i dont make sure any holes are patched up.} With that last thought, she rose and beckoned Isis over with her tail and spoke, her voice almost dismissive, "Alright, first we'll start with a cleanup. If we're going to sleep and eat here, the camp can't be full of webs and things that will crawl around while we sleep. Afterwards we will ready the dens. First we widen any already around dens up if we need to, then we clear the leftovers out. Next, we choose the sturdiest trees and dig extra dens under them. Ill be focusing on this, as a weong step will put not only your life in danger as your digging, but your packmates' in the future - we dont want any eroded cave entrances collapsing, or worse, the entire dens collapsing. That brings me to the next part, when we finish the neely made dens up, we need to make sure the tree is still as sturdy as before, and clear anything that gets in the way of that." Artemis paused and glanced at Raphael and Kiche, "We'll have a suitable area for a kill pile ready for your return. Even though it isnt winter yet, with so many pine needles falling we may need to make a sheltered area the kill pile. He inside of a tree, if there is one, perhaps."

(After this post we'll give the others a chance to reply :) )

Meruem | Alpha

Meruem let Artemis handle the organizing. It would settle her restless mind at least. Meruem knew she was itching to go and investigate the other packs because she was feeling the same. But rushing would help no one. She looked down at Jazzlyn, peering into the young wolfs oddly coloured eyes. "I suppose you ought to have something to do as well." She padded over to the nearest tree and tore a great bunch of moss from the roots in her mouth. She dropped it in front of the pup and grimaced as some bits stuck to her tongue. "Shred that as though it were the pelt of an enemy," she ordered. "We'll need lots of bedding come winter so this is good practice for you."

Jazzlyn//Cub

She bumped noses with the Kiche, her paw coming up to paw the other away slightly with a grin on her face. She ignored the slight pain in her tail and turned to the alpha, giving her a big play-like bow before nodding. The pressure was released and she pounced onto the moss, biting and clawing at it. It appeared as though she was playing, with the growls exiting her maw and all, but she was just following Meruems orders... It was the 'enemy' Imagining it as a a snarling black and white wolf from another pack. 'Shredding' his nose and darting away from the moss before whirling on her heels and repeating. Soon enough the moss was shredded all over the mossy floor and she looked up at the alpha with a tilt of her head, "Anymore of it alpha?"

Isis//Gamma

Her eyes flicked up at Kiche with a nod of her head, watching Kismet's retreating form for a moment before back to the alpha once her name was menton. "Yes ma'am." Her bright eyes moved around camp looking for things to make it more suitable to live in.. There was not much, maybe a few overhanging branches within biting distance and she tilted her head... Thinking outloud to herself, "We can partially snap those... Make it den-like for the moment, thick enough to sheild from the rain, the leaves would protect against the wind..." Her eyes grazed around, a large boulder sat off to the side, one where Meruem had hopped onto moments before, "Dig under that for alpha's den... Beta's den can be under the roots of that tree..." Her gaze flicked to the delta as she was beckoned over, reluctantly leaving the troublemaker on her own. She listened to everyword intently and nodded slightly after the delta finished, "Sounds like a plan.." She repeated what she had said to herself moments before and looked around, "There." She said to a tree with a good sized hole where the roots came up out of the ground, "Could be a good place for the food..."

Meruem | Alpha | Addresses Jazzlyn

Meruem watched Jazzlyn make fast work of the moss with a look of approval. The pup would make a fine gamma when she was grown. Her eagerness and liveliness reminded Meruem of he self when she was a pup, before she had begun her training regime and lost it. "See for yourself," she said in reply, nodding towards the mossy green roots and boulders around them. "I see plenty of enemies for you to destroy. Just pick out the ones with the thickest pelts and be sure to keep them in a pile when you are done." She smiled down at the pup. "Do well on your first mission!" (Short post sorry))

Kiche | Female | Delta
Mentions: Raphael

She gives Meruem a curt nod before turning around and gazing around for Raphael. When she spots the large male she bounds over happily, giving him a wide smile and a wag of her tail. "It seems as though you're stuck with me this evening," She says with a soft chuckle, "Meruem wants us to go out on a hunting trip." Her ears perk lightly and she bounces a few steps away before pausing and glancing back to make sure he's following. Hunting was one of her strong suits and she rather enjoyed it, especially in wooded places such as this. Her amber eyes gaze around at the trees. This was most likely a nice place to hunt for deer, wild boar and small animals like rabbits and squirrels. She radiates with anticipation. Since she had began her Delta training she hadn't been able to hunt much at all, being busy with other duties and all.

Raphael | Gamma | M | Mentions Kiche

Raphael returned her smile and followed at a more leisurely pace, not wanting to look too eager. He had to maintain his image after all. "And I guess you're stuck with me, lucky for you," he replied. He stepped around a rotting stump and passed the outskirts of the camp. He wondered what sorts of prey they'd encounter in the forest. His speciality was small prey animals like rabbits, squirrels and the occasional young boar if he was lucky, since he hadn't had to hunt for a pack before and was used to just feeding himself. As such, team dynamics was still new to him. He was looking forward to seeing what the strength of two wolves instead of just one could do. "So, where do you wanna start?" he asked Kiche.
